Play in the Zone

I'm in a mental muddle at the moment but watching and listening to your advice to musicians seems relevant to every day life so I'm looking forward to feeling ready for the Boot Camp to improve my performance on the Flute and Violin. This performing is confined to lessons at the moment but I live in hope.

Here you get a lot of advices which mind set helps you to play at your best without anxiety by using several new routines.

I combined the course with a second course from Mark: The Practise Multiplier.

I found this combination very useful, because here I got a plan for my daily practice routine. So I need less time for practicing, because it shows the way for a very effectiv training.

Especially the e-mail support during the course is great and give me the strength to keep on my goal to become a better hobby musician.

I really enjoy Mark's regular email messages; they are short, sweet, and high impact. I am very busy in my day job (as a physician) and have not had time to really get into the course much less the boot camp, but I am enjoying his inspirational videos and find they resonate with my own experiences in music practice.

I have signed up for the course and am yet to launch fully into it. However Mark has provided extremely novel and useful ideas about mental preparation for practice that has already transformed the way I think about my music performance. I am still sifting through the impact of these ideas and trying to record myself properly for the first time. I look forward to progressing through the course on my own time while balancing all of life’s other responsibilities; I am not a professional musician.

I hit Playinthezone and Mark by hazard, just listening/watching to some youtube music piece. I was intrigued by what I was listening from Mark about the way to improve my playing ability and everything, so that I finally signed for the course, well ...the 2 courses !
I started with the Unlock Your Performance, I liked it ao much that I decided to join the Practice Multiplier too.
Both courses are tremendously effective, powerful, a must for all the musicians never mind their level.
And Mark is as good as a good but professional and determined friend who wants you improve your musical competence, against all day by day troubles.
Nothing to say but a great opportunity !

I found that the course provides many useful and helpful materials. Mark speaks clearly in his video providing plenty of instructions on practical work and it works. He often sends email to keep me update of my work.

One of the best things that have happend to me during the lockdown is that I came across Mark's course UYP.
Although I haven't finished it yet, I feel motivated not only to improve my musical skills but also to get to know myself a little bit better through music. I truly believe that this course can be life changing to anyone who uses music as a means of expression and communication.

I'm so glad I decided to take part in this course. It addresses all the things that can hold musicians back from making progress, especially if players are experiencing the frustration of reaching a dead end.
It gives you the awareness of how your mind can have a negative effect and interfere with your ability to play confidently. The explanations, videos and exercises are designed to help you understand what is happening and then how to work on reversing it.
You do have to put in the work, and there is plenty of help and support.
I am over half way through the course now and am already feeling and playing with much more confidence and enjoyment. Mark is a great teacher.

This course has been inspiring. I have so many ways now to work toward better performance, but even more important, enjoyable performing. This is really what I have been missing for so very long.
I highly recommend it to anyone who plays an instrument and wishes just to feel pleasure in performing rather than anxiety.

Mark Morley Fletcher, the author of Play In The Zone, has applied the principles used by sporting mind coaching; for musicians using the idea of body and mind in getting the job done. This course would be beneficial for any performing musician, improving on stage confidence practice sessions and more.

I love when I find a teacher or coach to bring clarity and make it easier to progress in getting to a place where I can express myself musically. Mark is such a coach who has a step by step, user friendly way of making that happen. I am truly blessed to have his expertise and guidance to expedite my progress.

Play In The Zone Bootcamp is an exceptional course.
Even my husband, who is a lawyer, loves the lectures and finds them applicable to many facets of his job.
I am performing on my instrument with more focus, and calm, and in general feel happier when I perform, with more good to come of this work as I practice it.

This has been a life-changing experience for me. The tools given me, the follow up, and the feedback have been excellent. My personal growth even in the first 3 weeks has been phenomenal.

The course is what I've needed for years - but I did not know that my problem was with performance. I started playing for dancers and in sessions, perhaps 30 years ago. At first it was great, but later I became less confident and held back from performing. Also my enjoyment waned. I have completed the first few modules of the course and its been amazing. Already I'm playing with people I was too shy to play with, recording myself, and really enjoying playing again. The course is very well structured, in separate modules. It is equipped with all kinds of tools such as video, audio, pdf files. A big plus of the course is the personal guidance of the author himself, from Mark Morley-Fletcher.

Some of the teachers you meet in your life understand your problems, and seem to know where your (sometimes imagined) weaknesses come from. And then they find the right words and the right attitude towards you to give you confidence and strengthen your motivation. That kind of teacher is Mark Morley-Fletcher. If I only had a teacher like him fifty years ago! But it is not too late now, glad I found playinthezone!
