Ordered for a party of 25. slightly puzzled by the email reply, not specifying date and timings. Checked late on the day of pickup, and either I had got the date wrong, or there had been an IT glitch. Barbara sorted the order, and delivered it to the downtown restaurant and saved the day.
Great food. ordered too many pakoras and not enough mains, but I'll get that right next time!

I had high hopes of this company, but unfortunately they were not realised. To me the meals lacked depth of flavour. Not unpleasant, but not exceptional.

Truly authentic cuisine - didn’t expect such high quality from a frozen meal. We could have been eating in the restaurant it tasted so good. We will definitely buy again. Great delivery service, easy to read instructions and visually appealing website.

Always exceptional food - a restaurant experience at home. The customer service is also top drawer. Cannot recommend enough. A real treat in our household, especially as young kids make getting out for dinner a rarity!

Great authentic food and it tastes delicious

Had a few deliveries now, and some are good , others are not so good, the butter chicken is top draw, full of flavor, we love it! However I should tell you this before going on, I have been making Indian curries now for 45 years, I was taught what to put in each various curry, by a top Manchester Restaurant chef, 45 years ago, It was The Rajdoot, which was then on South King st.
Back to the review, The Rogan Ghost, was not what i expected sadly, I expected to find large veg, red peppers green peppers, halved tomatoes etc, sadly none were found, only the standard base curry, with the obvious different variety of spice. So that is a miss for me, naan bread is great, apple samosas could be great, only they lacked apple, rather flat, but great taste. Grandmas chicken curry was ok, and the tikka masala was very tasty too.
Overall I want and feel i should like them all, but most lack fluid, and tended to be on the dry side. I feel the rogan ghost should be better, and I feel sure you know what needs to be done, to improve it. Overall the use if spices was well balanced, and in correct proportion, not overdoing the jeera or garam masala, which can result in a bitter taste. I am not nor ever have been a chef. In any establishment , just a chap who wanted to know the Magic, to prepare good South Asian food for his family. We will be buying more, but shall have to be a little selective, more sauce is needed to prevent claggy curries, and PLEASE improve that Rogan Ghost, it is a top ranking dish, and should be a flagship into the more spicy dishes. Now sadly i am dependent on others to make my curries as a serious spinal problem has grounded me in a big way. Thank you John Davies

Great food. Delivered when promised

So disappointed. I’ve had several orders from Praveen Kumar that I’ve generally been happy with. However my latest order was beyond disappointing. The vegetable bhuna was not fresh vegetables but frozen diced vegetables of peas, carrots and sweetcorn. The sauce was watery and tasteless. The sag aloo wasn’t what you usually associate with a sag aloo. It was baby potatoes cut in half dumped in a sludge of watery overcooked spinach. Don’t get me started on the packaging. Every order I’ve ever had has leaked in the bag because some of the items aren’t packaged upright. I put up with this apart from an earlier order where the sauce from at least two dishes was in the bottom of the bag. The quality of the food has definitely gone down hill. It’s a shame but I will find an alternative.

Awful. Expecting decent authentic taste. Chicken Madras inedible. Thick claggy sauce. Onion bhaji tasteless as was the pakora. Ended up in the bin Bought from Budgens Higher Lane Lymm

The curries were very authentic and said on the box exactly how hot they were my partner loves vindaloo and have tried a lot he said it was at the top of brilliant taste

Excellent food and efficient delivery. We had a Veggie taster box for my husbands birthday. It arrived still frozen, as specified, from Scotland to North Wales, on the requested day. The food was absolutely delicious, we would definitely order from Kumar's Curry Club again.

Have been with the Kumar Curry Club for several years. Have really enjoyed every curry selected in 2024 and to date as a member. Splendid range of meals and regular specials to add to the overall variety. The timely delivery system has worked well for me and the customer service has been excellent if and when I have needed any help or guidance. Well deserved top marks from me and my best wishes to the Kumar Team for 2025.

We have been buying curries from Praveen Kumar for some years now, the dishes are incredibly good. Spicing is unique to each recipe and the talent of the chefs shines through their elegant dishes. Plenty to choose from and some options are offered with differing level of heat so that we can tailor our order to suit personal preferences.
On the odd occasion when a problem has arisen the customer service team responds quickly to put things right. In all of the time we have been enjoying these curries we have only had one box go missing at the courier’s depot. That was replaced the next day to our delight.
Portion size is perfect and packaging is mostly cardboard.
Curry club head office is in Perth where Kumar and his wife also have Tabla, the best Indian restaurant that I have ever visited
To round things off, there is also a cookery school in Perth where one can learn a huge amount about creating Indian style food.
Many of the spices used in the curries are grown by extended family members in India so customers can be confident about quality and freshness.
Discovering Praveen Kumar’s curries has been one of the best experiences ever. Thoroughly recommend giving them a try; amazing value for money from a company that always finds time to engage with community members.
