unsolicited cold selling
unsolicited cold selling, unsure how they got my mobile number to call every day while in Australia.
interesting they have a postcode starting ME? same as EasyLife that I got scammed on about 3 years ago. UK ICO fined them 1.45M so they are obviously re-emergence to continue their way, will call ICO when I get back to UK.
Avoid at all cost
Similar to other reviews, I was phoned with an offer of money off vouchers that would arrive in the post. I said that I would not sign up to anything and would not provide a credit card. At no time did they say they already had my card details and would be using them.
They signed me up for 3 schemes, including a pet products club (I don't have a pet) - more than £150 worth.
A complete scam.
Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Avoid. Absolutely disgusting company. If you are reading this it is probably too late. I feel tricked by these people and now I know what has happened. Reading the other reviews on here. The only way to stop these people is to report them to Trading Standards. I have done that this morning.
This company is really a cruel scam
This company is really crooked. Do not have anything to do with them. They are criminals that run a scam that preys on the elderly. They know this from the details that they buy from other companies where you have used your credit or debit cards. They then have access to you money through this. So find out the companies that are partner to them and avoid them too. It may mean that you stop buying from some well known high street companies. But until these other companies that are colluding with this criminal company are stopped, then be very careful.
My wife was charged £77 for something…
My wife was charged £77 for something she did not know about. Fortunately the bank had stopped the transfer and phoned her to check if it was a genuine. Seems that the bank is now aware of this scam. How have they got away with it so long? Good job the bank picked it up.
AVOID THIS COMPANY
AVOID THIS COMPANY. CHECK YOUR ELDERY RELATIVES BANK ACCOUNTS NOW!!!!
Easylife has a debatably ‘respectable’ company face but this cloaks their underlying dark side.
It’s not all about their products or lack of customer service, it’s what they do with your financial details once they have them.
My 91 year old mother made the mistake of ordering from the Easylife catalogue. She placed the order on the telephone and trusted the company with her debit card details to enable the purchase. There were no issues with the product or its delivery. The company then, without her knowledge or consent, signed her up to a useless ‘Rewards Club’ known as ‘Perx’. They took £18.50 from her account each month, using her card details, until I noticed the transactions and challenged them. They gave an immediate refund but would not explain when and how my mother signed up. ( I suppose all criminal suspects have the right to remain silent and not incriminate themselves).
Days afterwards, ‘Premier offers’(Same outfit) took £77.00 from the same account, as if to thumb their nose at my mother. The same sequence occurred, challenge – refund – no explanation.
Easylife and its group of companies i.e. ‘The Rewards Club’, ‘Premier Offers Direct’ etc. are clearly engaged in the most disgusting of crimes, the financial abuse of the elderly. Once they have the victim’s card details, they subtly plunder the account. IF they are found out they give the money back. This does not alter the fact that a fraud has been committed. If it had been a genuine mistake, they would have been eager to clear things up surely.
How many elderly customers are currently having their accounts milked by this vile, corrupt organisation? Going by other Trustpilot reviews, my mother is far from alone.
Check their accounts now, demand a refund and report them to the Police/Action Fraud/Trading Standards/ BBC Watchdog. They simply cannot behave like this with impunity.
Pooof! Vouchers gone!
Company didn't do what it said on the tin!
Had to cancel a couple of days after we received their catalogue.
Bit of a shame!
Scam Tactics - beware of this company
Received call from this company offering me some 'free' vouchers and was told if i didn't want them to return within 28 days. If i didn't they would charge me £74.
When asked how i would be charged, they told me they would use the credit card details I used to make a purchase with one of their member companies!!! (They advertise they have links with some major brands like Costa Cooffee, B&Q, Vue Cinemas etc!!)
Surely that's illegal as I have never given my authorisation for this company to use any credit card information from a third party.
They basically lied
They basically lied. They gave a phone number and name so I could call back if I had any questions but it just rung out.I had no way of cancelling the offer. Will have to seek help from my bank. Didn’t even get the vouchers they spoke of or any other details of the so called discount club. Rip off people should be prosecuted.
Premier offers directcompany will bulling…
Absolutely awful company will bulling tactics, my elderly mother got a call of them she has Alzheimer’s she doesn’t no what people are saying to her half the time so I phoned up the day after to cancel what ever she had said. I was told by one of there colleagues that not to worry they would cancel everything thing. Yet my mum revived a letter today saying they where taking money of her on the 21/11/22 I rang them straight away and got no where they hadn’t cancelled anything they promised they just fobbed me of saying they can’t cancel it. This is so disgusting praying on elderly people I don’t no where she got my mothers phone number or her address from & they wouldn’t tell me these people need stopping there email address & address / phone number there colleague gave me to complain doesn’t match the ones on the letters
Sharp practice
My mother (85) has just shown me a letter that she received this week from Premier Offers Direct which came with a free pamphlet stating that she now has 'access to the Perx exclusive club that provides benefits and savings across a selection of products, services and leisure activities.' The letter is a bit misleading because by quoting a Customer Account Number, Despatch Date and Trial End Date the suggestion is that my mum already has an account. However, the main thing that I took issue with, is the line 'Following on from your conversation with our agent on 14/10/2022' which is made up. This sort of unsolicited mail can be a source of worry for elderly people; my mum began to question her memory.
Ordered food supplement from this lot
Ordered food supplement from this lot, when it arrived it was damaged and spoilt.
Contacted customer services and spoke to Catalin who told me that they were out of stock and didn’t know when it would be available again.
I then asked for a full refund and have not had a reply???
Stay well clear of this cowboy outfit.
Absolutely rubbish
Absolutely rubbish, cold called my 82 year old mother in law and pressurised her into signing up for a crappy puzzle book at £24.99 per month.
Disgusted
No money back for defective goods after…
No money back for defective goods after just fourteen days? Claim not to have received returned goods by Royal Mail after one whole week? Can't help thinking that these are the actions of a - shall we say less than professional company. Never again.
Absolutely disgusting
Absolutely disgusting. My mother in law ordered 2x pansy hanging baskets from their leaflet. Paying £12.97. She received 2 half dead Pansy.
Do they answer the phone number given on the invoice. NO.
Do they reply to emails. NO.
Don't waste your money go to Homebase 👍
