Lessons needed to be learnt in customer relationship
We ordered a replacement door for an Electrolux oven for a lady in her 90’s on the 16th April’26 paying for a “next day delivery”
At around 4.00pm on the 17th April ‘26 we made contact via Ransom’s web facility asking when we could expect the delivery.
We were informed via text that Ransom were chasing Electrolux but were unable to make contact
On Saturday 18th April ‘26 we again made contact with Ransom but were informed that as it was a Saturday neither Ransom nor Electrolux would be open. We called a number we found for Electrolux’s customer service on the internet & spoke to a very helpful person but we were told that as the door we were seeking was ordered by Ransom & not ourselves they could only speak to Ransom about the problem. We again sent a message to Ransom informing them that Electrolux were indeed open & would be able to assist Ransom with our delivery if they were to call the same number as we had done earlier. We didn’t receive any response
On Sunday 19th April ‘26 a chance meeting with a neighbour resulted in me being informed that she had received a delivery from someone sometime on the Saturday & handed me a parcel. On opening we found it contained the replacement door. We had been cleaning my motorhome on my driveway on the Saturday & had not left our house. The delivery person had not left any note saying that they had attempted to delivery the item or as to where the package was actually delivered to
The door was fitted to the ladies oven on the Sunday 2 days later than the promised delivery day.
I sent an email to Ransom on the Sunday informing them the door was with us & asked that the special delivery charge be waived. I also explained the importance of having the next day delivery was to a confused individual & the huge problems this caused
Late on Monday afternoon I received an email from Ransom informing me that the delivery charge would be credited within 1-3 working days. Today is Friday still no credit.

Ransom emailed to say my order was despatched on the 17th for next day delivery. Parcel Force say they only received it late on the 20th and will deliver in 2-3 days

I wish I had read reviews before purchasing part. The part is incorrect. The customer service is AI. You cannot speak to a human. Please be aware. Do not use this company!

I had tried other companies previously who didn’t even try. Delighted with the service received would definitely use this company again.

What happened to good old English customer services.
Why can’t I just pick up the phone and speak to the work force. Instead I ordered the wrong part and didn’t even get a reply from my email asking if you have the right part.

tbh i don't normally write reveiw's i used this companies tool to see which part i needed to order brilliant you would think? not great at all i waited to months for order and then realised that there checker obvs not that great, i raised a ticket i think the responce was written by ai as was generic blaming me for the error and didnt even offer to point me in right direction where to find the part. lesson learnt will not use again
Disappointed customer
Absolutely, useless having ordered a component and having paid for next day delivery. They duly delivered the component to the wrong address! After contacting their customer services department. I was advised that the component I had ordered would be re dispatched the next day to my correct address. 7 days later, I still await receipt of the component I ordered. Which is totally unacceptable! No update or advice on how my order is being progressed and still await the item I ordered to be delivered. Baring in mind this component I ordered was urgently required, having paid the extra amount for next day delivery that didn't arrive. I would have expected a some sort of express delivery/ com pension for their failure to provide the service I had paid for/ requested. Suggest you don't use this supplier as they cannot be trusted to provided goods ordered in a timely fashion or respond to customers concerns in a timely fashion,
Don't fall for the "5-day dispatch" notice- been waiting 6 weeks!
Ordered 4 items, one of which was labelled as "dispatched in 5 workings days". I followed up on this when it hadn't been dispatched and was told there was a stock issue and they were waiting on an ETA from the supplier. 6 weeks later, none of my items have been delivered. I have ordered previously from Ransom Spares, but only in-stock items. If its not in stock, don't order from them!
Updated: I contacted Ransom Spares again and was helped by Ancheska, who did a brilliant job at keeping me informed, sent out my items that were in stock and the out of stock item has finally been delivered to me.
Abysmal service
Abysmal service. Ordered part a week ago. Paid over £8 for next day delivery, on a £8 part. Marked as “Dispatched” on Monday, but by Friday the Evri tracking link still says “We’re expecting it”. Raised a support ticket to find out what is going on, got responses from an AI bot parroting back information I supplied. Tried to call the various numbers for the Somerset premises online. Most are disconnected, one rang continuously with no answer. Are there any actual people working at Ransom Spares, or is this a straight-up scam?
Clumsy husband breaks fridge door shelf!
Just before a big family gathering, I managed to break the bottle shelf that fits runners inside our kitchen fridge. I found the model and serial number of the fridge and quickly found Ransom Spares had an exact fit. I see from other reviews that taking care to match the spare part to one's appliance isn't always successful...and not always the fault of Ransom Spares. I was lucky and got it right. The new Bosch door shelf arrived 2 days later, safely and securely packaged. Thank you Ransom! The fridge is now reloaded, ready for Easter Monday.

BEWARE
Website gave incorrect information so the item I ordered didn't fit. I asked for a full refund on return of item. They sent me a prepaid postage label. Refund never came. I contacted them again and they asked for proof of return. I replied that they sent me the label so they will have all the tracking info. They immediately replied and said they have now processed the return. I waited for my credit card statement only to find they had only refunded the cost of the original item and not the postage to send it to me - even though it was their error and they should have refunded the entire amount I paid them. BEWARE.

Fantastic communication throughout even at the weekend. Reasonable prices aswell. NEFF replacement induction hob glass top ordered. Took a while to come because it was on back order but now received and installed. Thoroughly recommend suppliers.
Beware. Website maybe incorrect. Refunds challenging
I searched their website for a spare by by manufacturer and model number. I ordered the item the Ransom spare website identified as correct. It was not correct and was to small for my appliance. I contacted Ransom spare to arrange return. I had to prove that I had ordered the correct part by supplying photograph of the appliance make and model. Eventually after chasing, I received the refund minus postage costs. When I queried this, as they had supplied the wrong item, I was told they had paid returned postage and therefore I was not entitled to a refund of the original postage costs. I believe this is a breach of the Consumer Rights Act. UPDATE I did get the postage refunded after I challenged them.

Item was packed well in bubble wrap and in excellent new condition as expected. Installed and working perfectly. Happy with service and would use again.

Update: After initial delivery delays, the team (specifically Ancheska) was very helpful. The regulator arrived, my cooker is now fixed, and the three returned items were refunded promptly after I posted them. Faith restored in this family business. Thank you!
I am extremely disappointed with the service from Ransom Spares. I ordered cooker parts on 12th February (Order 4255298) as I am currently without a working cooker.
The company marked my order as "Dispatched" on 16th February, but this was completely misleading. The Evri tracking has been stuck on "We're expecting your parcel" for over a week, meaning the goods were never actually handed to the courier.
Customer service (Ticket #1225788) has been unhelpful, providing only generic "we are chasing the supplier" responses without any resolution or a physical scan of the parcel. Their phone lines are also unresponsive.
I have now been forced to open a PayPal dispute to get my money back. Avoid this company if you need parts urgently—their "in stock" and "dispatched" claims cannot be trusted.

Do NOT use this website. I bought a part for my fridge freezer, there were no measurements on the website, so I used their part fit checker. There’s also came out inconclusive so I ordered the part after spending £4 on delivery. The part did not fit and then I was told that I’d have to pay for returns too even though the item was not fit for purpose as there was no way for me to measure it before the part arrived to see if it fit. Now I will have to spend another however much on returning the item myself at my cost which point with a delivery and return I will have probably paid for the item in whole. I do not recommend this business by any means.

Can someone please contact me so I can return the damaged goods you sent me. I tried opening a ticket but your portal doesn't work. I can't find a phone number to call or an email that isn't a noreply one. So I think this is the only way of contacting you, maybe.
