False advertising and poor customer support, nearly a fraud

I bought the Red Titan 2 pump based on their promise "It's designed to cut the amount of time and effort it takes to inflate your board by half" but in the end it takes the same time to inflate as with the original basic pump that comes with my SIC paddle board (1 double action cylinder), but with a lot more effort. Also, the pressure gauge is weird and sometimes loses a few PSI, I contacted their support and according to them this is normal.

I tried to request a return but it was refused because the 30 day deadline had passed (that's 30 days from the order date, not delivery). However, delivery took 13 days and I tried it a few days after receiving it. After realizing it wasn't any faster and the pressure gauge was strange, I emailed it to them. 7 days later no response so I write to them on Messenger, they told me that their support system accidentally closed my support request automatically. Then several days between responses and they ask me to send them a video to finally tell me that everything is normal.

Also, they don't publish product reviews on their website that are lower than 4/5.

False advertising with careless support and a shady return policy is borderline fraud to me.

Very disappointing product, customer experience and customer service for a 200$ pump.

Buyer be aware of the advertisements from this Company, check DELIVERY offer and most importantly the COLOUR of the Robes, I ordered NAVY BLUE.... it is no where NAVY BLUE, I have sent pictures of the Robe against NAVY BLUE items that I have. RED PADDLE, have not responded to my emails and pictures. Just be aware of the colour and delivery fee.... They advertise in a bit of a shoddy way, GO CAREFUL. Yes a reply..... but no mention as to why they adverise NAVY blue... Clearly not NAVY BLUE... Delivery....read,,, very misleading. Buy DRY ROBE,, delivery and colour is as described.... Red Robe.. QUALITY IS FINE, COLOUR AND DELIVERY very WRONG. BUYER BE WARY, also must add sleeve lenghth on Red is very short. Not on alternatives. Why do RED NOT ACKNOWLEDGE colour and delivery are issues. Important issues.

I am sorry that the colour is not to your liking. We understand colour is to some extent subjective and different for everyone. The Navy is our best selling colour but if it is not for you then that is absolutely fine. It is perfectly acceptable to send products back if they don't meet your requirements with regards to any aspect whether that be colour, fit, etc. It's a normal part of buying online. We are totally accepting of that and this is why we offer free returns.

$1500 for a RED board - not worth it

I bought a $1500 Red board in 2014. I only used it in fresh water. The past 4 years, I've only used it about once a year due to a leg injury. I took it with me on a trip down to Central America and when I inflated it, I found that the entire side where the reinforcement rods slide in, has come apart. Since the board is 10 years old, it is not covered under warranty. However, I find it strange for a company that supposedly produces such great quality, that they would not even want to find details on why a product falls apart for no apparent reason. There is no water damage, no mold, no exterior damage or tears, no thinning of any material. If this was my product, I'd like to at least know the details so I could improve my production in future. But Red wants to know nothing .... Their answer in a nutshell: you're five years late and $1500 short.

Red Compact 9.6

I’ve just returned off holiday and for the last few years I’ve taken normal side paddle boards with me. The Red Compact is by far the best board I’ve had. it’s so light and compact. Travelling with it is so easy. Not only is the board super light. It’s really stiff and tracks better than any other board I’ve had. A truly amazing product

We had a small leak in our RED sup and when I just asked them for advice they send me the solution (‘blue juice’) for free! To Greece! And even more; when the leak was not completely over they send us another bottle.

I ordered a woman's teal dry robe

I ordered a woman's teal dry robe, order no. ORDER REUK83789, arrived today, 27.1.24, just in time for my daughter's birthday. Unfortunately, I knew something was wrong when the bag the robe was in would not close, it is covered in hairs and the robe itself has a stain and marks on the hood and lots of creases. Return in progress. If you have to send out items others have returned at least check them and get a new poly bag. Seriously disappointed.
10.2.24 : the dry robe was very quickly replaced and my daughter loves it!

Quality boards, quality brand

We are fortunate to have three Red boards in our family and we love them. I did a lot of research into Red beforehand and spoke to the company a couple of times before buying. I was blown away by their exceptional customer service, how helpful they were, their knowledge of the sport, industry and safety around paddleboarding. I soon began to realise the quality of Red boards is a vast cut above the rest and you cannot put a price on their aftersales customer service either. Lauren was so helpful advising on a query I had about my pump so to have them at the end of the phone sets them apart from other SUP brands I had looked into. We constantly get compliments on our boards and I always recommend them!

Ruinous ahdesive/glue failure!

Just a word of caution for those looking at a RedPaddleCo Board and it’s associated premium price point. I bought a 10’6″x32″ back in 2019 in Australia, granted some time ago. We stored it on our sailing yaght in Thailand where it was used sparingly, and when not used, was stored inside the bag that it came with, inside the yacht. The majority of that time was over Covid lockdowns so spent about 2 years rolled up sinde the bag completely unused
During a recent visit to the yacht, we decided to take the board out and put it to some use. Just about all attachments had come free and the ankle rope had disintegrated.
I had bought this to the attention of Messrs RedPaddleCo who, despite the evidence I offered (Pictures/Video), stand by the quality of their product, and in particular the adhesives they use. They did offer that sunlight, heat and humidity serve as a potent cocktail for the adhesive and plastics.
So, a word of warning, if you intend purchasing their product and using in the heat and humidity, you might want to consider looking for a cheaper product where the adhesives are just as “good” and wont break the bank as quickly as this board has done for me.

I’m not able to post pictures here, but all appendages have fallen away, fins, handles, storage net fix points. The ankle strap rope has disintegrated into no fewer than 6 pieces.

For the price they charge for their boards, i’d have expected this not to happen, irrespective of the conditions the board was stored.

Ik heb een 2017 en 2018 Red Paddle supboard en ben jarenlang enthousiast gebruiker geweest. De boards varen fijn, al vind ik de Ride Windsurf nou niet direct de meest enerverende van het stel. De Sport daarentegen is een comfortabele en snelle metgezel. Wat mij gezien de absurd hoge aanschafprijs eigenlijk al na een jaar opviel was de mate waarin het rode logo op de voorkant van de sup in recordtijd veranderde in roze. Voor een product dat meestal tijdens zonnige dagen wordt gebruikt mag je verwachten dat verkleuring niet zo snel op zal treden. Dat is echter niet de reden van de twee sterren die ik Red Paddle geef. Beide boards zijn namelijk in één week tijd achter elkaar gesneuveld.
De Sport is gaan lekken op het punt waar de fiberglass strips van het RSS in de rails schuiven. Blijkbaar ontstaat na enkele jaren gebruik een klein gaatje in de sleuf waardoor het board onbruikbaar wordt want deze lekkage is niet te repareren. Mijn Windsurf Red Paddle was een dag later aan de beurt. Deze explodeerde met een daverende klap als gevolg van een verouderde lijmlaag van de basisplaat voor de mastvoet. Ik pomp de boards altijd op met de door Red Paddle geleverde Titan handpomp (waardoor het onmogelijk is om ze te hard op te pompen) en ik laat de boards niet in de volle zon liggen. Overigens vind ik dat je van een board van € 1000 euro of meer mag verwachten dat ze wel tegen een beetje zon kunnen. Van de Windsurf was het mij al vaker opgevallen dat de pads waarmee de D-ringen op het dek zijn gelijmd al eerder loslieten omdat de lijm blijkbaar verouderd. De klacht is door Red Paddle Engeland doorgegeven aan de Nederlandse importeur en die verschuilt zich achter het feit dat de garantie is verlopen. Dat is zijn goed recht maar er is altijd nog zoiets als een conformiteitsbeginsel. M.a.w. de consument mag verwachten dat een product een bepaald aantal jaren storingsvrij zal functioneren. En van een paddleboard in de prijsklasse van een Red Paddle (die zelf koketteren met duurzaamheid en betrouwbaarheid) mag een consument wat mij betreft een lange levensduur verwachten. De eerder door mij aangeschafte Aqua Marina Supertrip Tandem van € 500 is nog als nieuw en krijgt meer te verduren dan de duurdere Red Paddles.
De eerlijkheid biedt mij te zeggen dat de importeur uit coulance een sup only aanbieding heeft gedaan voor € 600. Maar om nou alleen een board zonder toebehoren te moeten aanschaffen voor € 600 vind ik geen coulance. Ik heb twee nieuwe boards aangeschaft van JP Australia en STX. Ik ga niet nog een keer het dubbele betalen omdat Red Paddle zijn geld liever steekt in marketing dan ontwikkeling.
Blijkbaar in zo’n dure Red Paddle ook gewoon een stuk meerlaags pvc en blijf je als gebruiker na vijf jaar zitten met een drijvende/zinkende milieuramp (je zult maar met je hele tuigage midden op het water zitten als je plank explodeert……)

Paddleboard and positive minor warranty experience

I bought my first Paddleboard, an 11' compact, and have loved ever moment of it's use. I had a minor issue with the 5-piece paddle over the weekend, emailing the Red team to ask if they can help (when back in the office). I was delighted by a super fast email response, and an effortless exchange where they have simply replaced the paddle within a day. So not only is the product beautiful to use, but the warranty is second to none. Thank you Red.

Highly highly recommended. Great paddleboards but what really…

Great paddleboards but what really makes them sound out is their customer service. Absolutely first class! I have had two issues both not their fault and literally next day new parts sent out free of charge with hand written notes stickers ans keyring. Emailed me with links on how to put the new parts on. Honestly I can't say enough good things about them. Love RED!

Superb customer service

I discovered that one of the paddleboards I'd purchased didn't include its leash. On contacting Red support the customer services team could not have been more helpful with Katie responding well after normal business hours. I received the missing leash within a couple of days along with a handwritten note wishing me luck.

Disappointed with Red after sales

I have a 10.8 Ride and love it.
I have had it over 4 years riding only on still water.
It started developing a leak which I assumed was the valve.
I replaced it but the problem was the deck around the valve de laminating.
I contacted the shop I purchased it from and another retailer to source getting it repaired. They could not help and suggested contacting Red.
I tried firstly by email and then I phoned talking to a representative who wanted a receipt, serial number, who I contacted and photos.
I sent him what I could but did not have my receipt and could not find any serial number on the board. He did not want to help and I believe I was a problem he wanted to get rid of.
I am extremely disappointed with Red and recommend you buy cheap inflatable boards as you won't be as disappointed.

New board - I love it!

I recently bought a 10’6 board on recommendation from friends and after using a Red board during a lesson. Goodness me…I love it!! Everything about it is so well thought out and an absolute joy to use. It’s very stable and I feel like it’s very well made and will take a battering by my kids come the summer. I also really love the bag being able to easily move my board from the car to the beach. So happy I bought this board - such a great company.

After years of using a fibreglass sup I…

After years of using a fibreglass sup I was talked into buying a Red Ride because of the ease of transport to more remote locations, I was told it was a fast and stable sup but that couldn’t be further from the truth, it’s a wobbly at best unstable thing that is slow and tracks awfully in the water. I’d recommend trying before buying. I’ll be going back to a rigid board as soon as I’ve sold the Red Ride.

The quality isn't what I would expect…

The quality isn't what I would expect from a board that costs so much money. It doesn't feel any more stable than other brands and I've had problems with both the bag and the pump. I contacted customer services but they refused to help.
