I'd say a key to me loving this product was the fact that the company actually knows about soundproofing and how sound works in an environment. Not all sound is created equal and I get that, but I spoke to them about my street noise, they directed me to their track hanging curtain for my sliding glass door and that was the first purchase I made. I ended up ordering 3 more times for my bedroom windows because other than the occasional booming car music that's impossible to block it does exactly what I want it to. I have no complaints here!

I usually do not comment on this sort of websites as I am very picky however I must say the curtain I have purchased is the best thing could possibly be available on the market! My room is just next to the kitchen so I was hearing every little noise and smell when anyone was cooking! Now the curtain stop not only the noise but also the smell!:) thank you very much you saved my life as I was close to explode! I live in the UK and shipping was very expensive buy was worth it every single penny I've spent!! Thank you once again!

For $300 I could have replaced the windows with a better window that would do more to block the sound. Sorry, lame. Furthermore they are not aesthetically pleasing at all.

We were very skeptical about whether the soundproof curtains would really be effective, since we live on a busy road and my husband is extremely sensitive to sounds, keeping him from sleeping. When I called Residential Acoustics and asked all my questions, they were very responsive. When we asked to come and see their company and product in person, they welcomed us warmly. Once there, we met Nate and he gave us a tour of the company and showed us how the curtains worked. We were convinced and ordered the curtains. They were ready in just a few days and we picked them up, brought them home, and installed them. There was a problem with some staining on the material of the curtain. I called Nate, sent him pictures of the problem, and he responded in a timely manner that they would be replaced. We have been very happy with the results and can wholeheartedly recommend the company and the products to anyone looking to get quietness in their home, especially their bedroom.

We hung the curtains according to the installation instructions. After installing them, we sat and listened, and there was NO difference between having them open and having them shut. We were very disappointed because we really wanted them to work, especially because they were so expensive and took quite an effort to install. Even if they had worked, the curtains are made of such sturdy material that I could not pull them to one side and fasten them with the strap. They are bulky and heavy to maneuver. Because the curtains are so bulky, the hardware needed to fasten them to the wall leaves huge holes once you have uninstalled it from your wall. We now have a stand alone fan on in our bathroom at night.

The ordering and delivery experience was excellent.

As far as product functionality, I would not buy this curtain again. It is very cumbersome to roll up and down and already has started to curl at the bottom. It barely blocks low frequency noises at all (in fairness, this is explained, so I knew that ahead of time) but does provide a little bit of relief from other outside noises. If this product were $150 cheaper, I would say it's fine, but otherwise not worth the cost! It is excellent at blocking out sunlight though.

Let me start with this. It took me more than 2 hours to set this thing up because the instructions were horrible with sloppy information and poor visuals printed on computer paper. I figured it out on my own but this just confused the crap out of me.

I had to drill 15 gigantic holes into my drywall and it was a big pain to even get the super heavy curtains into place. The curtain is like an inflexible yoga mat so it makes the Acousti "Trac" very difficult to slide around in case you need to open a window or let some light in. One of the cheap plastic rollers broke off the curtain while I was trying to slide the thing over so I could let some light in for the day, so now I'm left without one of the plastic rollers on the first day.

In terms of sound blocking, it does work okay. I live right beneath the train tracks and I've noticed a difference. I blocked out more sound by doing other things too like putting felt strip pads around my door.

They do block out some sound and all light, but I still have to sleep with earplugs in to block out the train horns at night. They would of been worth for half the cost though.

Bought a curtain. Loved it, so we bought another, and another.. I had to call costumer support because of damage due shipping. They were great, problem was resolved very fast. Great company!

I was excited for this product. Buy it if the only thing you care about is blocking light. If there is any difference in how they block street noise is not significant enough to improve your sleep quality. I'm still waking up at 5:30AM together with the traffic. At least they look nice :) I'd hate taking them off after making all those holes in my window frame. My experience makes me question the origin of the reviews on this site, but oh well.

I ordered AcousticCurtain to block noise from the annoying train that goes right next to my apartment complex. The ordering process was very easy, I did everything through their website. The curtain was delivered in about a week, however, I needed help with installation. They were pretty heavy to put up.

I'd highly reccommend Residential Acoustics and their products. Excellent customer service, very thorough throughout the ordering process over the phone, and high quality, soundproof products. I especially appreciated the included kit to hang my curtains in my bedroom and living room. Good sleep in the city? No problem!

I usually do not write reviews, but was so happy and surprised at the job these curtains did to block noise.

We live in some houses that literally a 5 feet from your neighbors and right next to the freeway... So needless to say it was hard to sleep without hearing my neighbors outside or the rush hour traffic.

I ordered enough to cover the bedroom windows and not it is literally almost silent in my master bedroom.

As a light sleeper and someone who wakes up from talking or traffic, i would recommend these without a second thought!

I did tons of research (probably 8 - 10 hours) before ordering this product, and all other 'solutions' on the market were just thick curtains (already tried it) or expensive window inserts - nothing with an actual "STC rating" except for these. I followed the measuring instructions online and ordered their Track product (not the roll up version) since my windows are quite large. I was impressed with the dampening of noise right away! Traffic noise and hospital sirens were almost gone and an added feature that I should mention is the insulation the curtains have for a home. We got hit with a huge snow storm recently and the quality and thickness of the curtains for thermal purposes actually made a difference. I'm happy with the product and glad I did the research to find the right ones. These are it!

Terrible communication, took over a month to get the product, and the instructions leave much to be desired.

The customer service and product were great. I hate to wait a few days for curtains, but I guess since they were custom-made it is worth it. They work very well in my bedroom - strong heat-blocking, above-average (above-expected) sound blocking.

Stopped by the shop and met their staff. Informative but not pushy. We were very pleased with the purchase. Doesnt stop all the sound, but enough that we can sleep/read in the bedroom

Nice customer services but the soundproof curtains stops 5 decibels.
