Unfortunately we switched to Rogers

Unfortunately we switched to Rogers. What a mistake. As one of the big 3s you'd think the service would be stellar. NOT!!!!!!!
This has been the worst experience ever. Constantly going out, any time of day.
Do better Rogers

I have been deceived and cheated by…

I have been deceived and cheated by Rogers communication as mobile service provider.
I received a call from Roger's call centre to offer me 40% discount of my current plan and a new 24 months contract phone with zero copay.
But when I received an email contract I found there is no mention of 40% discount and provided an estimated monthly bill of 189 CAD from 43CAD because of the new phone's monthly deduction of cost.
My biiling contract is a burning proof that Rogers communication is run by group of Mafias.
The name of the Roger's employee who deceived me is Tony Edward.

Another internet and TV outage

Another internet and TV outage. Over 12 hours so far. The outage site initially showed no outages anywhere in Ontario, even after I received a text stating they were aware of a problem in my area. Anna the AI chatbot was of no help, regurgitating boilerplate answers printed on the website, like these issues are usually resolved in 4 hours, but sometimes it takes longer. Once I had a case number 6 hours after the loss of connectivity the outage site showed that it was being dealt with and showed a restoration time at the top of the hour. As soon as that promise was not kept, the site simply added another hour. (6 times so far)
Service interruptions happen to often, and the lack of useful information when service is down is inexcusable. It is now past midnight and I've had no internet or TV since noon yesterday. I have survived because I have a mobility plan from someone else.

Rogers has a major identity crisis Shaw vs Rogers

Rogers has some kind of identity crisis with the Shaw take over. Complete confusion. The online routing does not work. The My.Shaw site rails you into the Rogers site, and the Rogers site tells you, you have to contact Shaw.
Perpetual wheel of confusion, that even the technicians cannot figure out.
I have never spent so much time trying to help a mega corporation to figure itself out!?!?!

Scammed via fraudulent Rogers order, then billed for it anyway

I was targeted by a scam where someone impersonating Rogers convinced me to order a phone through the official Rogers app using loyalty points, then talked me into shipping it back to "upgrade" to a newer model. The shipping label led to a fraudulent address, not Rogers. Rogers' own fraud team later confirmed this was a scam, cancelling extra lines that were opened on my account and locking the device so it can't be resold. Despite that, Rogers is still billing me for the phone, telling me that because I personally shipped it, I'm liable. This treats a scam-directed action as a normal purchase, even though Rogers already confirmed the surrounding activity was fraudulent. I've filed a police report and a CCTS complaint, and I'll be switching to Public Mobile once that process is complete.

Roger's AI sucks

Trying to get technical support because for some reason we can no longer send emails. I can't get past the AI agent to speak to a live person. And the AI is not able to help me and when I try to go past the AI to actually speak to someone it says I can help you with that. Seriously. Garbage s***

Worst Customer Service

They have the worst customer service i have ever had the misfortune of experiencing. I was not notified when my internet bill wasnt going through. When the suspended my internet, I called and asked because I was thought it stopped working. I also went in person to talk to them. Not one person I talked to told me my bills hadn't gone through. I called multiple times, was put on hold for hours and when I finally get someone on the phone they hang up or they say they'll call back in 2 mins but don't call back. They arranged a phone call appointment for a week later, called and said they will come to my house and fix it and then not a word after. They charged my 750 dollars. They have horrible, horrible customer service. I am very disappointed.

FUYEZ!

Wait times are painful

Wait times are painful! Two hours to speak to an agent is unacceptable. The plans discussed do not align with what's being charged. Staff seems incompetent and a manager approval is always needed. Consider switching to Bell. They can't be as bad.

This is the worst company I have ever…

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. You cant make up how poorly they treat customers and how disjointed and dysfunctional thier customer service is. I have never written a poor review before but have to send a warning out there as I left them for good. Charging too much and no service to get changes made until i cancelled. I tried many times to get though, when i finally did talk to a person to make changes with a live agent that told me all the ways they could make it better, then said he will forward me to the department that will help me, when he did forward i got "this department is closed call back during working hours". I tried the chats, asking exactly what i wanted, was made to fill out forms where had to get all my information together then told they cant help me and go to a different department. I said not to be rude but my question didnt change so why did i have to fill all that out just to be told that? Even to send thier equipment back they sent an email that said the shipping company can make a label with the qr code. The shipping company said those never work so had to have a label made from the email pdf, shipped equipment back to them, two days after sending the package I get a bill for $1100 for thier stuff, and then a few days later they call every day with threats on robo calls about my account overdue. How about give the package a chance to get there and restock the items? Can't make up how bad they are. Run dont walk away. Use other providers

I waited 54 minutes on hold only to have the phone hangup mid servicing. Unreal!! 54 minutes is too damn long and to have that automated women's voice tell me every so often to continue waiting is the worst because you think someone is finally picking up, but Nooooooo.....

WORSE COMPANY EVER

WORSE COMPANY EVER, AVOID AT ALL COST; CRIMINALS
I am new to Canada, with their many agents I was cajoled into buying Rogers, we agreed a bill of about 120 box for my Internet and mobile network. I set up direct debits ; the least amount I got debited in a month was 250 CAD, some months 350, I had to stop the direct debit; the hight of it was the month I got 520 CAD as my bill for the month. The most frustrating part of this was no one to talk to; i couldn't schedule a call with anybody, I kept being directed to AI and automated messages, when I was being fleeced. Anyone can imagine how frustrating that is. Good news is I have migrated to Fizz network (paying 32 CAD monthly) with better coverage and better data offers. Fortunately I utilised the option of migrating with my phone number. Avoid these guys at all cost please. All the best.

Absolute worst customer service…

Absolute worst customer service imaginable. They disconnected our internet 10 days before the move date we requested and impossible to connect with anyone that can help us. They just keep transferring us to different people we wait on hold for that don’t help. If I could give zero stars I would. We have been customers for over 15 years! Never again.

Abysmal Service and No Accountability

As an existing customer of Rogers internet, they called to offer a deal on mobile phone service. It ended badly.

The agent offered a great plan, and I chose to call back. I called to accept and the other agent said I was mistaken and implied I was...making it up. She begrudgingly checked and found the department who had offered the plan and connected me without...apologizing for assuming I was wrong.

The next agent signed me up and sent an eSIM. The agent didn't check if my phone was eSIM compatible. I didn't know either. I now know. I felt bad about the error.

When I realized the issue, I called back and requested a SIM card to be mailed. They said yes, a SIM card can be mailed. I said okay, send me a SIM card. (In hindsight, they never said who, where, or how to get one sent and never confirmed they were sending one.)

The SIM card didn't arrive. I called and the agent said they couldn't mail a SIM card. My options were to visit a Rogers location hours away in person to get a SIM card. I could have had the SIM card mailed to me if I had ordered one at the beginning, but they couldn't send one now...for some reason. I said I'd have to think about it.

I was charged for a month's phone service; I still had no SIM card. I called thinking about cancellation options, and surprised I was charged without the service being activated.

The agent said the same thing, I had to pick up a SIM card in person and they couldn't cancel without fees because 30 days had passed since accepting the offer. Even though I had no SIM and no service. She said it was policy that the agent at sign-up should have checked if my phone was eSIM compatible (it's not the customer's fault) and they could have mailed a SIM at sign-up. Now I was getting angry.

And I made a mistake. I tried to understand why and make honest excuses for Rogers.

I used to get promo calls from a call centre in India. I was thinking maybe it was different databases, different systems which is why the one agent thought I was lying maybe she couldn't see the offer, maybe one department had a check-SIM card policy and the other did not...so I said to her as much, maybe all the issues happened because the first agent was in the India call centre and the second was in Canada... Then she asked, "Did you make that assumption because the agent had an accent?" I thought, yes, the agent that offered me the great deal did have an accent, so I said, "Well, yes."

She said, "That's racist."

That was her idea of an out for all the "Customer Service" nightmares caused by multiple agents over a month. My bad. It turns out all the Rogers call centres are now in Canada, and they're all equally incompetent. But calling me a racist makes all that okay.

I thought: Rogers called offering a deal, I was treated like a lier, I was misled, gaslighted, made to feel bad for the eSIM mistake, charged for a service I never received, and I was called a racist for all my trouble.

"I can cancel all this for you," she happily offered, "But if you want another plan I can't get you this deal. You'll have to pay full price." What deal? Repeatedly insulted and charged for non-existent service? She was offering exactly what I had been thinking; just cancel it all and I'll be off. She did. I left.

I left all Rogers services. I called back weeks later and left their internet access. I complained, I completed a few surveys, I was ignored. But to this day Rogers emails and calls me using my name offering deals on services. I gave them another complaint on the phone, and they ignored me. This week, I'm hoping blocking their numbers and emails outright will finally get them to leave me alone. Today, I consider this situation closed.

I contacted another phone service, signed up with a great deal, they mailed me a SIM card, and I've been happy since.

Transfer of Service is Brutal

Bought a house and was trying to transfer service from the previous owner to me. It took me a week of trying to get anyone on the phone. Then spent an hour and a half on the phone trying to simply set up an account and transfer the service to my name. Every other utility transfer was done in 10 minutes. Theirs took an hour and a half. They insisted on two forms of sensitive ID (passport, drivers license, SIN, birth certificate). And after wasting an hour and a half of my time, still charged an $80 account set up fee to transfer the service. I have dealt with many utility change overs and several internet providers and never encoutered anything so ridiculous.
