Transfer of Service is Brutal
Bought a house and was trying to transfer service from the previous owner to me. It took me a week of trying to get anyone on the phone. Then spent an hour and a half on the phone trying to simply set up an account and transfer the service to my name. Every other utility transfer was done in 10 minutes. Theirs took an hour and a half. They insisted on two forms of sensitive ID (passport, drivers license, SIN, birth certificate). And after wasting an hour and a half of my time, still charged an $80 account set up fee to transfer the service. I have dealt with many utility change overs and several internet providers and never encoutered anything so ridiculous.
ROGERS IS SCAMMING CUSTOMER TO BELIEVE WILL GET INTERNET SERVICE FOR $55 THEN CHARGE $176
I was offered an internet for $55 per month and after following all necessary procedures they requested for over 2 hours on phone I was inform my next Rogers internet bill would be $55. The next bill was $176 I contacted them was on phone with them for over one hour and they advise they would issue credits to rectify the incorrect billing then I was then charged $177 on the next bill. I again contacted them stayed on phone another one hour and they send me a interaction id# I2618592027 to show system was updated. I called again before my next bill to inform them I did not receive a bill and was my billing discrepancies rectified the specialist said yes she see it in system but bill was not generated as yet. Guess what another bill for $176.00 ROGERS IS A RIP OFF THEY LIE TO YOU TRAP YOU IN TO GET IN SPECIAL OFFER THAT IS NOT GIVEN TO YOU
I am currently dealing with identity…
I am currently dealing with identity theft involving a Rogers account that I did NOT open or authorize.
Someone used my personal information to obtain a Rogers phone and wireless service. I have been able to establish that the phone was purchased at a specific Walmart location, and I have reported the identity theft to the appropriate authorities.
What is extremely frustrating is Rogers’ response.
Rogers investigated the account and essentially relied on the fact that the identifying information provided by the person who opened the account matched my information and that the person presented identification. But that is exactly the problem with identity theft: a person using stolen personal information can also present fraudulent identification containing that same information.
I did not purchase this phone. I did not open this account. I did not authorize these services.
Other companies have taken my identity-theft report seriously and treated the unauthorized activity as fraud. Rogers has instead told me that they cannot establish that it was fraudulent, leaving me to deal with the consequences, including the impact on my credit.
I understand that companies need procedures to prevent fraud and verify customers’ identities. What I do not understand is how a company can treat matching personal information as sufficient evidence that the legitimate person made the transaction when the entire allegation is that someone stole that person’s identity.
Identity theft is a serious and increasingly common problem. Companies need fraud investigations that account for the possibility of forged identification and stolen personal information, rather than treating matching information as proof that the actual person was present.
I am now having to involve the police and pursue external avenues to resolve something I never authorized in the first place.
This experience has seriously damaged my trust in Rogers, and I hope Rogers reviews how its fraud investigations handle identity-theft cases.
Lied to about internet and cable…
Lied to about internet and cable package costs!! These folks are crooks and liars. Will NEVER recommend or use in future!!!! Im so upset we signed a 2 year contract, lied to us about charges/billing! I have a cousin who quit after 9 months working here, said they were a bunch of liars and bullies, so agree! Damn i wish ee had listened to our neighbours! I guess this is what you get with Rogers together with shaw. NEVER AGAIN, trust me. Shaw was sooo great to work with. So much better deals out there and Rogers NEVER oicksup phone if you have concerns. Shame on you Rogers for lying to seniors on a fixed income or anyone else, dusgusted with them. If i could rate 0 we would
Long time customer spit upon
If I couldgive a zero rating I would....I had been a loyal customer for more than 20 years. That means nothing to this company. I was a victim of a scam that has ended up costing me $2600 for a phone I don't have. After the tens of thousands of dollars over the years, I was hoping that they would give me some grace and just charge me the actual cost of the phone...not retail value. I took it all the way to the so called president representive. No give at all.......she insisted that 2600 is the cost for the phone. Such BS. I am done with this company. Loyalty means nothing....greedy, greedy greedy:(
Watch out people !
Watch out people !! Rogers new scam is that they offer you a rate that is guaranteed for 24 months. One would assume that if you choose to end the services, you lose that rate..But no, they do not tell you on the phone that if you cancel your services before 24 months, you are charged $30/month for every month remaining in that 24 month period.
Now, I’m faced paying over $600 for the remaining months !!! I use Rogers for 4 months out of the year at a campground..It ended up to be a very EXPENSIVE subscription to Rogers for the summer..
Watch out if they mention the word « contract « , they do not explain totally what that entails..I thought the « contract » was their contract to ensure my rate didn’t change while I was their customer. Why would I agree to a 24 month contract if I only need the services 4 months/year..
They are very SLY !!
The only comforting feeling I have with this issue is that I will ENSURE that every seasonal camper in our campground is aware of their tactic and I predict they will lose a lot of subscribers next year..(we have Bell as an option as well in our park). It is mostly elderlies that are residing in our campground and we all know that they are always afraid to be scammed, so they will cancel with Rogers(if they are on a seasonal hold) or not subscribe again with them in the future..
I called rogers customer service for…
I called rogers customer service for multiple times and every time it kept me wait for more than 45mins until I gave up. This happened for 2 times in the past 2 days and today I called in and went through all steps and finally I was transferred to the agent but unfortunately, I was told there are more volumes than normal, and Rogers simply hand up my call directly. Such a bad carrier and I just share my bad experience with everybody and wish it will help you to decide when you have to choose a phone company in the future.
My tv box broke
My tv box broke, I had to wait 2 hours to speak to someone, got a robot callback saying they needed more info, waited another 2 hours. Will get new one by Purolator rogers have my wrong address and for some reason they cannot change it so i had to get hold of Purolator then they didn't deliver them rogers say I have to return the box to an address far from me by fed ex I don't drive and can't get there, I still have the box they still haven't changed my address, oh well, I'm not the only one!
Data overages with upgraded iPhone
Fraudulent plan upgrade with less data resulting in overages. Over 2+ hours onhold time to speak to an agent with repeated offers to get help by AI (not helpful). Originally signed up with Rogers because of in-Canada agents, now Rogers outsources everything to 3rd world countries with agents who can't communicate in English. Mass layoffs and radio station closures indicates they are strugging financially and ding their customers to make more money. Having said all that if by great fortune you manage to connect with a Canadian agent they almost always resolve issues satisfactorily.

We got a tv for our mother in law in a long term care home. They suggested getting the internet with it so they could watch Netflix so we did. She had it for just over 2 years before she passed. I cancelled it and got a bill for $660 dollars for cancelling the contract with 22 month remaining. $660 dollars to cancel TV with internet. I said I don't remember even renewing the service, and they said they sent and email about it, but they said you don't have to reply to the email to have the renewal come into play. They were only willing to offer $50 off the $660. The fee was beyond the pale, I am so turned off right now.
Overpriced plans and frustrating customer service
Rogers has been incredibly frustrating to deal with. The plans are excessively expensive, and getting through to an actual representative is far more difficult than it should be. Live chat is unreliable, calls are difficult to get through, and even simple account questions seem to turn into a long process.
On top of that, the pricing feels like a constant money grab. Existing customers can end up paying significantly more just to upgrade or make basic changes to their plan, and the whole experience feels unnecessarily complicated.
Garbage service
So far on hold for tech support for 52 mins, did nit ask for call back number just AI telling you stay on hold to keep place in line. Calling about 0 to 1 bar lost calls ppl can’t reach me and coincidence is no issue until I paid my phone off 3 weeks ago. Garbage service.
Loyalty Means Nothing To Rogers According To Ai
I was a loyal customer for Rogers for a very long time. They patted by back and acknowledged it. Until one day my friend showed me she's getting a better deal from Chatr a subsidiary of Rogers. And then I saw advertisement from Rogers to newbies for a better deal than mine. I consulted Ai and it stated, customers who don't like changes are more likely to pay a higher cost which didn't made sense. I didn't contact Rogers and no one should. I left and switched to Fizz mobile. I felt like I'm in heaven. The customer support is chatbot but a live agent will assist you if needed. In this expensive economy cut your cost in half and put that money in compound interest thanks to Fizz mobile. Don't waste another cent, every dollar you save is saving your life. If you go Fizz you're not going back.

Bastards won't pick up the phone and fraud was committed on my account. Im getting a phone and plan sent to me that I didn't order and I tried calling them but they ain't picking up. What a bunch of scammers.
Been trying to get through to customer…
Been trying to get through to customer service for like a week keeps saying to busy and call back later then they hang up what horrible customer service is I could give them less the one star I would
Worst customer services
The customer services was like day dreaming, talking non-sense, messed up with my accounts numerous times, on purpose transferred me to a wrong departments or on purpose put me on hold over half an hour because he is not able to help me. The worst customer services and their manager isn't helping too much.
Rogers worst customer service
Rogers has the worst customer service reputation. It takes over 2 hours to get a live person who would have been able to solve problems quickly.
On hold for over 2 hours
On hold for over 2 hours. I recently switched over four phones from Bell and the customer service rep that I finally answered said he would email me the esim code and didn't do anything! Maybe I should go back to Bell
Poor Customer Service
Somehow I continue to receive calls from Rogers, even after asking multiple times to be taken off of their call list.
Every time they call the agents are rude, short on the phone and difficult to understand. I would reccomend to Rogers to hire agents with a higher level of English (and French) proficency and provide them with better call centre training for customer service - then ensure that that service is being provided. It's unlikely they gain new customers with the current examples of call centre sales agents.
Based on my interactions I would not get any services with them as my experiences with the other providers have been much better.
