This is a brilliant course. I started with Russian Made Easy then got as far a Unit 13 in Russian Accelerator before heading off to Uzbekistan. From the moment I arrived in the airport I was reading Russian signs, asking officials where I would find my bike etc. Then I bargained down the taxi drivers for the trip to town. I was able to chat to people, particularly during a home stay, order food and buy things in shops. It is such a well taught course. At 68 I do find it hard to remember languages, but the way this is taught it just sticks in my mind.

Mark the creator of this Russian learning website is absolutely genius. he has got a very unique and talented methides to teach a new language I would give him Oscar best teacher in the world

As someone is their 50s, learning a new language doesn't exactly come easy. I tried learning before about 12 years ago, but eventually got discouraged and quit.

But when the urge came back, I stumbled across Russian Accelerator. I'm so glad I did! First the podcasts were perfect for the road, and Mark broke everything down to make perfect sense, especially with literal translations and using Russian word endings on English words.

Now that I've been using the Accelerator course, the process is enjoyable! There is even a media center for each unit to let us hear real shows with real Russian speakers using content we just learned.

I'm in contact regularly by either Mark or someone else. With the very reasonable cost of the course, I highly recommend it to anyone!

Russian accelerator is the perfect tool to learn and improve your language skills in Russian. I have been using for almost a year and I did a lot of improvements thanks to Mark and his course. He is able to explain a language hard as russian in a very clear way, giving to the students the time to learn,master and develop their russian during the entire course. I have seen to often the mistakes from other courses of seeing too many informations in a very short time, but with this course I had the time to learn with my pace all the basic russian rules essentials to achieve a good russian conversational speaking level. I did progresses comparable to russian university faculties here in Milan,( Italy) and that's why I firmly sustain the philosophy of teaching of Mark. If you are interested in learning the russian language this is the best thing that you can do to achieve that. Best investment I ever made.

It has been an interesting ride and a challenging one as well. Little did I know about the six cases, the verbs of motion ( oh my, those VoM, they need some (way!) more TLC to be fully understood), the three words for 'year' and all those other eccentric qualities that make the Russian language such an adventure and true challenge. I have loved every unit, every lesson, every podcast, all the clips and steps that made for hours and hours of study. The best part was Mark's coaching style. The positive tone of voice and encouraging words when he knew the going would get tough. Always fast in replying through email and helping you if you have a question.
And the bonus was discovering that so many Dutch words derive from Russian (or vice versa, who can tell?).
At this stage I can honestly say that I have learned the basisc of the Russian language, but have also grown aware of the road ahead that is still long to master the language and am already looking forward to the next course to continue this journey.

Mark, thank you so much for your wonderful varied course, for being the teacher you are.

A well-thought-out method, from teacher to teacher. My skills in Russian are improving. The only suggestion is for them to produce more ON THE GO ( I am always stuck in traffic!) and more games such as "What is the Question?", "Opposites", "... but I didn't....", etc.

Being new and early in the course (unit 6) I have been successful at speaking and understanding native Russian speakers where I work, in the healthcare setting. I can't thank the Russian Accelerator team and Mark enough for what I learned in such little time. Today, I was able to introduce myself in Russian to a nurse/ translator and to the patient. My patients eyes lit up to see that I am trying to learn Russian. She pulled me aside and held my hand to tell me, "thank you for learning Russian. It makes us feel much good in a country where we do not know American language well. And you speak it very well!" She was too kind, and I was so happy to see that I am making a difference! I was also able to ask her in Russian, " как это называется? " When I picked up a blanket. I am proud to learn my families language and to help Russian speakers feel more at home in this country! I've had many other Russian language experiences, but this happened today so it's fresh in my head. Anyway, большое спасибо! And happy learning!

I tried different books and russian classes but all I did was getting frustrated, until I tried this.
Its a simple way to really understand how russian works and the lessons are short and approachable, with a ton, yes a ton of resources to help you speak russian, not just memorize word, but actually speak and understand russian. Highly recommended, this is a must for those trying to learn russian.

I have always thought that I didn't have the aptitude for language learning. Everything I've tried in the past had failed. What I didn't realize was that it was just the teaching methods that were not clicking for me, the method really does matter! I successfully completed their free Russian Made Easy podcasts and was excited to be learning so quickly and deeply that I had to try Russian Accelerator. It is absolutely phenomenal! You learn the material, it's not just endless memorization. It teaches a good base vocabulary and grammar. It is absolutely worth your time. Easily, the best money I've ever spent.

So far, this has been an awesome course очень классно!. Although, I can’t necessarily speak the language with confidence at this point of this review. I am confident that with time and continual practice I will be able to. This course has catapulted my desire to improve with the language. I can now better understand when people are speaking Russian around me and get the gist of what is being discussed. With as little time as I have worked on Russian Accelerator and the language, if I was dropped off in Russia for whatever reason, I believe I would be able to get by. Currently only in unit 9 and have much more material to cover which is exciting. In addition to the course, I also listened to Marks podcast Russian Made Easy and his other great content.

I have tried so many ways to learn Russian, which is really a difficult language to learn, and was close to giving up. Then I found Russian Accelerator and understod that the problem I had faced so far hadn't to do with me, but rather with bad pedagogic. Mark and his team at Russian Accelerator are on a whole other level, making it easy and fun to learn - and surprisingly fast, as well as to understand important principles. It's almost like healing yoga classes to sit down with the lessons and that's why it's easy for me to give 5 stars!

This course is great! The methods used to teach Russian make the content as easy as possible to understand and keep you engaged. Throughout the day I always looked forward to being able to sit down and progress my language skills with Russian Accelerator. If you do happen to get stuck with something or want a clarification, Mark and the RA staff were always quick to respond with help. If you are considering learning Russian, I highly recommend Russian Accelerator.

I really struggled for a while trying to find a course which I could get along with. Learning Russian seemed like such a monumental task, however soon after beginning the course I found mark and the team break it down into easily manageable chunks. The extra source material they pack into this course is huge so you never run out of bits to practice with. His relaxed friendly manner makes it feel like he's sitting there with you one on one. Also, the customer service is great, if you ever need to contact the team for help they respond very quickly. Didn't want to spend the money at first but now I'm really glad I did as this is a skill which will last a lifetime. Really impressed.

One of the best language learning programs I've used to date. Based on contextual language learning, Russian Accelerator/Mark and his team provide lessons that I truly enjoy starting my day with or listening to in the car. If you're looking for a Russian language program, I highly recommend this one.

RA uses proven methods. As a former teacher, I highly recommend this program if you are serious about learning Russian. It is easy to follow and allows you to use what you have learned immediately. The grammar is introduced naturally making it easier to grasp. As they say, it is how we all learned to speak our native language.

I cannot recommend this course enough. Mark & Team's method of instruction is insanely effective. You're able to speak relevant sentences right from the beginning! The course is everything you wished your high school Spanish could have been. Skip the memorization of verb endings, teach the most relevant vocabulary first, learn whole phrases in context, listen to native speakers with fast speech and varying pronunciation. I went through the Russian Made Easy (free) podcast on Spotify first and was concerned the Russian Accelerator would be repetitious, but it has been the perfect complement. The Read Russian videos on the site (also free!) worked so well, and made Cyrillic a breeze. This course is empowering and truly makes learning a (very difficult!) language entirely achievable. Thank you so much, Mark and team. 100/10 recommend.

I really enjoy the method of instruction! They employ many different methods of instruction which really helps you to apply the language in practical, day-to-day life. It makes so much more sense than learning Russian out of a textbook. I took a year of Russian in college, and felt like I learned more usable Russian in three Units than I did over one year. Definitely recommend!

In all my years and many attempts to learn Russian, I've always had to move on to some other focus for a while. When I come back to learning, I find myself frustrated at having forgotten too much, and having to backtrack significantly, which affects my enthusiasm.

Listening to the Russian Made Easy podcast was my first time truly understanding certain grammatical concepts. I didn't fully understand why I was finally getting it, I just knew that it made sense like never before. When I finished that, I didn't hesitate to sign up for Russian Accelerator.

Predictably, I recently had to take a bit of a break. I was dreading coming back to it, because of my previous experience of having to backtrack. But to my delight, the concepts stuck, I picked up right where I left off, and my enthusiasm has not waned.

You could point to the specific techniques used, or you could say it has more to do with my attitude and dedication, but I think there's something more to it. There's a certain magic to the way that RA works, at least with my own way of digesting information. I can't wait to learn more, finish, review, and enjoy using this beautiful language.

I came across this company when i downloaded their free language resources; Cyrillic in 3 hours & Russian Made Easy. After completing the RME course I moved onto Russian accelerator and honestly, I think its the best learning decision I've made in my life.

Russian is rated as one of the most complex languages to learn. Yes, of course, I likely have not progressed onto the super difficult parts of Russian - however, the Russian I have learnt is significant given the short learning period during which I have been using RA.

Russian Accelerator (And RME) use incredibly intuitive methods of teaching to make learning Russian as simple as only needing to dedicate 30 minutes a day in order to feel like you are progressing.
Mark and the team use methods such as Super literal translations, allowing you to literally think in Russian just after you learn the new word or phrase.

Something I find really handy is that they teach you little catchphrases for each word you learn. It may sound silly, but having these small, friendly sentences in your head is genius and they help you remember tricky Russian words easily!

I have sent a few emails to the team over the course and you really do get the sense that they care deeply for you - If I were to email Duolingo or any other app that teaches Russian with a question about the lesson and ask for an explanation, you'd likely not get a response. Whereas with Russian Accelerator, I received replies within hours in a friendly tone and easy explanation!

I started learning Russian back in August 2022, and now, at the time of writing, November 2022, I comfortably speak the occasional sentence with my Russian partner; who is shocked every evening about how fast I'm picking up new words and the small grammar changes in the language when talking.

I understand fluency is far away from my current ability, but I had never even thought of pursuing Russian beyond basic conversation before taking up RA and RME - now I want to become as fluent as possible!

To solidify my learning, I began taking a Russian beginners course at my University (One of the top unis in London for teaching languages) and it is awful in comparison to this course. Even after 2 months of in-person Russian lessons with a native language speaker, I still have not bypassed the difficulty level of Russian which I now understand thanks to these courses.

The price of the Russian Accelerator is also awesome!
$1 for a 21-day trial?!! Insane value for money and even after the trial has finished, the $300ish price for the course is incredibly cheap for what you are accessing.

If anyone reading this is wanting to start Russian, I would recommend following the route I took.
1. Cyrillic in under 3 hours
2. Russian made easy
3. Russian Accelerator
The 2 courses before RA helped to build a foundation of Russian grammar which the Accelerator course then build an immense vocabulary upon.

I will update this review in a couple of months with how the course progresses.

UPDATE: After 9 months Russian Accelerator is complete! I feel so confident in what I have learned and all I require now is a larger vocabulary to allow me to speak in more situations! All the major grammar patterns and verb conjugations are mastered!
I have travelled to Bulgaria and Russia this past year and everyone is truly amazed at the quality of my Russian after only 1 year!

Mark, I just want you to know up grateful I am that you have gone through the effort to learn the Russian and language and the combined that with your phenomenal teaching skills to put this course together. I’ve finished unit 5 and had previously spent the last 6 months learning Russian. Your podcasts initially were so sensational and they destroyed the skepticism I had towards paying for an online language course.

My dad was born and raised in Kharkiv and came to Australia when he was 27 years old. He was learning English and didn’t teach me Russian when I was young. Thanks to you and everyone else at Russian accelerator I am on the path to regularly speaking Russian with him in a conversational manner.

I really hope you and everyone/anyone else involved in this course are aware of how fantastic it is. I can’t thank you enough.
