Mark created Russian Accelerator, a first course on Russian, and he did a fabulous job.

He is a professional teacher, and knows how to teach, not just how to speak Russian.

I am married to a Russian speaking wife, and my goal is to be able to speak to her and her family in their native tongue.

I first did the 25 podcasts of "Russian Made Easy" (free course, find it in your App store) and then graduated to the more advanced Russian Accelerator course.

I find that Mark, as a native English speaker, explains lessons in a much easier and understandable way then a native Russian speaker. He understands the challenges of learning Russian as he went through the same challenges learning Russian himself.

I find the lesson MUCH easier to understand, digest and retain than with any previous courses and tutoring that I have done. A course will never replace a tutor, but with this course, Mark becomes your personal tutor with many, many videos and audio tracks.

It is an organized path of learning unlike trying to wade through random YouTube videos to understand the various topics.

In particular, he has a unique approach to learning grammer in which you learn the patterns, and then the concepts, instead of trying to force feed you grammer tables which have never helped me actually speak Russian.

I have a long way to go, but Mark makes it as easy as it gets. He also is on hand by email to guide you along, check your quizzes', and answer any questions you have along the way.

If you have any doubts, do the course for the free introductory period and you will be hooked.

I only wish I would have tried this much earlier in my learning journey.

I learned so much from Mark's Russian Made Easy podcast that I had to try Russian Accelerator, and it's been wonderful. Russian Accelerator has amazing mnemonic techniques, in-depth explanations of Russian grammar rules that you won't find using something like DuoLingo, and gives exposure to speakers on Russian television to solidify your ability to understand spoken Russian.

If you aren't certain about it, try Russian Made Easy on Spotify. I learned a great deal just from listening to it on my commutes, and it's 100% free. I could go on, but Unit 4 just opened for me!

Such a great learning tool. Lots of these other programs throw words and phrases at you with no way to properly apply them. Mark and his team's approach has been a great way to make the language stick and give you the tools to use the lessons in real-world scenarios.

I have been trying to learn conversational Russian for years. I ran up long streaks of continuous lessons in Duolingo and Clozemaster, and contributed the audio and synchronized text of an entire novel in LinkQ among other efforts. I also took 1-on-1 lessons for six months and have several Russian friends I met on HelloTalk. Of course I have also put in time trying to learn Russian grammar, all the personal pronouns, all the prepositions, etc. In other words, I was (and am) highly motivated.

But despite all that, I was not meeting my goal of being able to have a simple, spontaneous conversation with a Russian friend.

A week ago, for some reason, I started systematically playing Russian videos on YouTube. I saw, one after another, that none of them would get me any closer to my goal.

Except, when I got to RussianMadeEasy, I had suddenly found what I was looking for. It's a series of 30 videos. I did the first 14 in one day. I was thrilled. Every one of them, even the first, taught me things about the Russian language I had not known despite all the effort I had previously put in.

It gradually dawned on me that Mark, the author of the 30 free videos, had also created a much more extensive course called RussianAccelerator. The website told me as the reader that by the end of the course, I would know conversational Russian. OMG. That's all I had ever asked for!

Of course I signed up. The course consists it 18 units. Each unit contains five numbered lessons, and each lesson is filled with several "steps" and other material. I won't go into details. Mark is an extremely innovative teacher, and the course is a treasure trove of the knowledge you need for conversations in Russian. Once again, it is almost embarrassing how Mark is explaining things, even in the earliest units, that I have never seen explained before in years of study.

The units are apparently intended to take about a week each on average. But my motivation is on fire and I have been working through every feature of each unit at the rate of one unit per day. It's taking virtually all my time. I can't keep up this pace.

But even though I'll be forced to slow my pace, it's clear to me that Mark's course is the answer to my dreams. I have no doubt that I'll be able to have spontaneous conversations in Russian with my Russian-speaking friends within, I think at most, four months. Maybe sooner.

Excellent course with a great teacher. Mark is really engaging and explains things brilliantly and makes learning Russian super fun and easy.

Also being able to email and get fast responses from real people really make it worth the money. Would definitely recommend!

Best I have seen! I learned so much from the podcasts that I just had to sign up for the full Accelerator course. Mark's method is working for me better than anything else has. I am FINALLY getting back the Russian I had in college. I wish I had discovered this earlier. Recommend highly!! Срасиво волшое!!!

After a year of college based Russian I found myself reading short stories, writing essays, but unable to have even the most simple conversation. This course is amazing for learning conversational Russian! I finally feel that I’ve been able to unlock the Russian part of my brain when it comes to forming sentences in conversation. And no doubt this would be great for total beginners too. The interactive podcasts are great way to squeeze in some extra conversation practice on the morning drive to work.

Simply THE BEST way to learn russian language. I have had all those language applications, I did try this and that, but the thing that really taught me this new language was Russian Accelerator. At the moment I am studying in university, and I wanted to test how good RA really is by selecting Russian language for studying. After completing semester, got top grades from russian language skills, almost full score from final test. All thanks to Russian Accelerator.

I have tried almost all Russian online courses and found myself loosing interest in them relatively quickly, so everything failed.

Mark's course is the ideal for me, it greatly matches my style of learning since it basically forces me to sit down on an actual desk and be focused, unlike other programs.

In my case though I am exaggerating a bit, I do one lesson each day (5 a week + review over the weekend) and I am writing everything I hear and see down - in cyrillic only - trying to guess and write the answers before they appear on the screen. Takes me about 1.5-2 hours for each lesson but the results are amazing - so rewarding.

It's a bit of an overload though but the way the course is structured, even if I do not remember some words or make mistakes, repetition in the following lessons brings everything back to memory.

I could not recommend the course more + Mark's customer service is awesome.

I spent over a year using other apps before discovering this podcast and then course. The way mark explains Russian grammar in a way that works excellent for the english speaking brain. Helpful support, with quick response time, as needed! Loved it!

I’ve been trying to find a language program to teach me Russian for about a year. All of the previous teachers I tried all used conjugation charts and grammar drills. I found myself losing interest in a short period of time. Then I found Russian Made Easy in my YouTube suggestions. I tried all the lessons and I was hooked. I then purchased Russian Accelerator (RA) after completing Russian Made Easy. Mark is a native English speaker, so he understands the struggles native English experience. The reason I like RA is because Mark engaged my brain, so I wouldn’t get bored. Whatever he does works. I look forward to my 45-60 minute lesson that I do most days. He also teaches what the words in Russian literally mean. That helps a lot. I like that he has me send audio clips to native speakers in his company to make sure my pronunciation is understood. I learned Spanish in high school, but never became fluent. My Spanish teacher taught in the same manner many language teachers teach: rote memorization, not doing exercises that involve the student, etc. I’m retaining about 85-90% of what I’m learning and I’m having fun doing it. I highly recommend this course.

Absolutely amazing. I've tried so many ways to learn Russian and always floundered after a few weeks. But as Mark from Russian Accelerator says: the method makes the difference, and he is absolutely right. Video is the perfect format for learning the language and he introduces vocabulary, grammar, and cultural insights in an engaging manner at a steady yet never stodgy or overwhelming pace. A masterful accomplishment by a great teacher and a great team! With any luck, they'll develop similar courses for Japanese and other hard-to-learn languages! :-) Pro tip: do as Mark suggests early on in the course and USE FLASHCARDS and a GRAMMAR NOTEBOOK. It makes a world of difference! To learn a language you need to do what works—not what's most convenient!

I'm halfway through Mark's Russian Accelerator course, and I can easily say it's been the best language learning experience of my life so far.

Mark is great at breaking down complex grammar patterns into easily understandable, bite-sized pieces. His way of explaining things really makes the concepts sink in.

I also really love the fact that he includes clips from real Russian television shows to give you exposure to different accents / speaking styles.

Lastly, far and away my favorite part of the course is the podcasts Mark makes that are available to members. They're really well made, and the grammar / listening drills he includes in them have had the biggest impact on my learning Russian so far.

Overall the course is amazing, and it's brought me from absolute zero to being able to hold simple, 5 minute conversations with Russian speakers after 3 months of work. Thanks Mark!

I LOVE this class. I did all of 'Russian Made Easy', their free podcast, and loved it so much I decided to do the Russian Accelerator course as well.

I've learned so much, and the lessons are paced really well so i dont get burned out or over whelemed. I think Mark (the teacher) is delightful and im personally grateful to have such an awesome learning experience.

Im on section 12 of 18, I havent finished the entire course yet, but I sincerely recommend it so far!

Words are introduced slowly in a way that's easier to retain. With no prior knowledge of the Russian language or Cyrillic Alphabet this has been a great program to learn from!
