I ordered my vest on March 3, 2026 and as of April 13th I have not received it. I have called to report this situation 3 times and have not received a response as to how this is being resolved.

I have been out of law enforcement for 12 yrs. This is the first time I purchased a vest online without being measured.
This vest came very small. I don’t believe a vest can be properly fitted with just a height weight measurement.
If by some chance I get shot and it actually hits the vest I will do a follow up on the quality of the material used.

I ordered the Unity Hybrid plate carrier from Safe Life Defense with the detective placard and custom badges. When the carrier arrived, it was exactly as I had specified and already fully assembled, which was a nice touch. The very first duty I used it on was a 13 hour shift, and I have to say, it performed very well. The system is comfortable against the body and breathes very well. Aesthetically, the carrier looks amazing! I definitely noticed a few envious glances from a few of my colleagues. Even when working in the hot sun, I was very comfortable. I'd been looking at the FRAS armor for a couple of months when I caught it on sale. Even though I'd worked with someone to get the correct armor size for my issued vest, it was too big (the thickness of the FRAS panels versus IIIA pistol armor changes how it fits inside). The exchange was painless and quick.

I ordered the FRAS rifle plates, three different vests, and I already own Level IV ICW plates. Overall, I was not satisfied with the comfort, especially considering all the hype and the price point. In my opinion, the system is overpriced for what you get.

At this point, I will only be using the Level IV ICW plates with soft armor. The FRAS system, which is heavily marketed for comfort, ended up being very uncomfortable for me during training scenarios and after wearing it on a few shifts. I also started experiencing back discomfort, which I had not experienced prior to wearing the FRAS setup.

The vests I ordered included the Hyperline, an under carrier, and a basic outer carrier. One of the biggest downsides was the limited MOLLE space compared to my Safariland vest. With less MOLLE, I had fewer options to properly configure my gear. Once mounted my duty items, I also felt overly bulky almost like the “Michelin Man.” I do not experience this issue with my Safariland vest, which feels more streamlined and practical for patrol work.

Overall, I was pretty bummed out given the cost and expectations. I also believe some reviews may be influenced by sponsorships or affiliate links, which can make it harder to find truly unbiased feedback.

This was just my personal experience after testing the gear during real-world scenarios and shifts.

Ordering was easy and had a quick response when I had a question. Shipping was super fast, had the vest in less than 3 days with a weekend in there. The vest fit is perfect with the assistance of the help desk. The payment method was icing on the cake that made the decision easier.

The products are awesome, I use one for duty and one for my battle set up. The only reason I did not give a 5star review is because they did not want to help me with a larger inner belt. Other than that very good belts.

Very comfortable and worth every penny. Just be mindful that the HG2 is on the thicker side. It's not bad, but noticeably bulkier compared to other options

Ordered was delayed. Then once shipped, it was damaged and box was "empty" and disposed of. They did not want to be responsible for work with UPS and replacing my order. They wanted me to sign a questionable power of attorney document to proceed with a claim. I have never needed one of those in my life. Just wanted the product I paid for to be provided.

Purchase was easy with no hiccups in the transaction system. Bought the carrier for external use to compliment the concealed carrier i already had. Construction is very durable.

Pretty light for the performance. Breaking in nicely. Fits pretty well.

I was extremely anxious to receive my body armor, and once I was able to wear it for the first time on assignment, I was blown away with the overall feel!
I have no regrets with my purchase and I will be purchasing more for my team.
