Til trods for jeg svarer tilbage i samme mail fra den e-mail adresse de kender mig på, får jeg bare et svar tilbage om at de ikke kender min mailadresse. Umuligt at få besvaret spørgsmål der omhandler oplysninger de lige har sendt.

There are genuine people looking for…

There are genuine people looking for relationships on the site. However what disappoints me are all the "fake" profiles with the camera icon on all of the photos.
These women are stunning yet there is no backdrop and all look liked photoshopped faces from the internet, all the women look American!!!! It so misleading as you cannot contact them, so why are the profile sup there, bad form for people looking for real love.

Thanks for your review and your feedback. Just to clarify: profiles with a placeholder image aren’t fake or inactive, they just haven’t uploaded a photo yet. We use a placeholder image to show there’s a space for one. It helps keep the layout clear and lets users know the profile isn’t complete yet. We get that it can be frustrating, but some real users prefer to take things slow before adding a picture. Your input’s noted, we’ll keep working to improve the experience.

Price charged not consistent

Review sites give price per month for example 19.99 euros for one month. Singles50 website asks for 19.99 euros per week.

A negative 0 if I could

A negative 0 if I could. I have never signed up to this nor would I ever. I received a legal letter from a solicitor in Germany threatening legal action if I didn’t pay! The legal action threatens garnishee of wages, taken to court in a foreign country and even arrest.
Do not know how they got my address. I am not a dating app person. I have reported to the ACCC.

😡 j'ai fait des recherches sur le net donc l'application n'est pas autorisée en France bien marqué en rouge (cette application n'est pas disponible dans votre pays c'est-à-dire la France) vous tapez singles50 dans play store application dans la barre de recherche. Site à très fort fraude.

Scam site

If there was a zero rating I would have chosen that. Don't use this dating site. You are trapped in a cycle of them trying to debit your card- they appear great with the welcome messages and advice but it is truly operating to exploit people. I've put in a complaint to my bank as I followed all the guidelines and my bank even said they have so many complaints about Singles 50 but they seem to know the loopholes. Choose another site. Ive just read the reply from Singles 50-none of what they say is correct or truthful. When on the site other users are warning everybody else how you operate. I know my way around sites but yours is setup to trap people. Do better Singles 50- I hope your generic reply doesnt fool anyone else. Its a pity you dont put the same service into your customers as you do with your defence of my review.

Don't ever sign up to Singles50

I totally agree with all the other 1-star reviews here. This website doesn't clearly show its members how to cancel their subscription, saying there is a link at the bottom of the website, but there is NO SUCH LINK when logged in as a member.

See the content below from the Singles50 customer services email I was sent. It clearly states that there is a link at the bottom of the website, when there clearly is NO SUCH LINK when logged in as a member.

"You can easily cancel your Premium Membership Subscription by using our cancellation form, located at the bottom of our homepage."

Their website has a link, but it only appears when logged out—GO FIGURE?

The link (when logged out) does not even work! It's a dead link, so how are we supposed to contact customer service using this link at the bottom of the website when it doesn't even lead to the cancel membership webform?

You can only use a webform (when logged in) that is hidden in the FAQs section (which took me 10 minutes to find) to write to the customer service team to cancel.

It is entirely unclear how to find the webform. If you state you have a link at the bottom of the home page, when you actually have the link hidden in one of the FAQs pages, it is onerous and NOT easily accessible.

They also have unclear billing. It looks to me like I was paying a monthly subscription but its actually a weekly payment charged monthly which is not clear when paying online. The subscription is actually 4 to 5 times the cost I assumed I was going to pay. I assumed I was going to be charged $25.00 but I was billed $99.00 — (4 weeks usage billed monthly).

This website does not comply with the Australian Consumer Protection Laws below in clauses 64 to 66 because its subscription payment process is obscure and unclear about what you are being charged for each month.

Consumer Protection
62. All businesses, including online dating sites, have obligations under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010. Fundamental to many of these obligations are provisions ensuring consumers are provided with upfront and transparent information upon which they may make informed decisions and are not subjected to unfair contract terms. This section is provided to assist industry to understand its obligations in the context of industry specific issues that have previously arisen.

63. Adoption of the guidelines is not a replacement for overall compliance with the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 or other legislation. Businesses should obtain their own legal advice as to their obligations under consumer protection legislation.

Fees and charges
64. Online dating sites should clearly disclose all prices for dating services including any applicable fees and charges prior to the acceptance of any contract or request for payment.

65. Where online dating sites offer services on a subscription basis, providers should make it clear and disclose upfront that membership is a subscription that is automatically renewed and incurs ongoing fees until cancelled.

66. Online dating sites should clearly disclose the process for cancellation and accept notice of termination by email or other form of electronic communication (e.g. web form). D & R sites should ensure that cancellation processes are accessible and not onerous.

Regarding subscription: before any payment is made, we show the total cost, billing cycle, and renewal terms clearly on the payment page before a purchase is completed.

Varning för detta företag! De drog ett betydligt större belopp än det som jag tackade ja till, 2376 kr istället för 100 kr i månaden i 6 månader! Har försökt att få kontakt med dem, har kontaktat banken och polisanmält.

Vexatious litigator - stay away

I would give this site a zero if I can. My experience is very similar to the experience of others who have been on Singles50 Plus. Difficulty cancelling membership, cancellation timeframes that are ridiculously long, debt collection and now litigation for a subscription I cancelled. If Singles50 Plus was serious about improving its image, it would reflect on the comments on this website and cease and desist all debt collection/litigation actions. In lieu it should rectify the numerous shortcomings on its site that have been cited again and again.

Singles50 you should be ashamed!

I took an hour to set up my profile because Singles50 advertised - register and connect for free for one month. Excited with getting a response quickly, I went to read the message, only to be told, I need to subscribe in order to engage with messages. I have no problem paying a subscription if its transparent from the start. Singles50 definitely is not transparent. I then decided to search reviews and have another look at my profile. The prompt questions had been changed and weren't the ones I'd chosen. The reviews were not good. I was excited to meet someone after being single for a very long time - my choice. And this site has put me off any dating apps!

Yes, a scam, just like the others say here; they count on you signing up, and then you can't unsubscribe. It's AI-based, bogus profiles with other scammers lurking behind. I am trying to see if I can track them to a real address as they pretend to be based in Luxembourg.

Un mese prima della scadenza del mio contratto Premium, invio email con il modulo per il recesso come richiesto dal sito. A distanza di qualche giorno apprendo che il mio messaggio non è stato recapitato causa "posta intasata". Ripeto l'invio della email con il modulo allegato altre 2 volte, ricevendo la stessa risposta. Il mio contratto scadeva il 10.03.2025. Nel frattempo il mio profilo continua a essere attivo (?). Il 1/04/2025 mi scrive il sig. Martin Bell dell'ufficio riscossione esigendomi il pagamento di un'altra annualità poiché il contratto è stato rinnovato automaticamente, maggiorato del costo "rifiuto di addebito". Se non pago, sarò interpellata da un'agenzia esterna di recupero crediti con dovute addizionali. Alla faccia della serietà. VERGOGNA!!!

Beware!!

Beware!
I have tried to cancel my subscription several times, 5 months prior to my subscription expiring.
I have emailed and followed the instructions via the website with no response from singles 50.
This site is for all accounts and purposes a SCAM.
I have now been emailed after months of being ignored, that I owe yet another subscription fee. Clearly they do receive and monitor their emails when it suits them!
I have been told that my “debit” will forwarded to a debit collection agency.
I am taking advice from my lawyer, who luckily is a relative, and will be very happy to go to court over this total scam. It is illegal in this country to make it impossible to cancel a subscription.
I will also contact Consumer Affairs of the actions of Singles 50 so they can investigate the legality of this site

I came on the internet to see if there were any other persons having issues with Singles50 and found this Trustpilot site. I am alarmed to see that 95% of the reviews for this dating site is 1 star and further alarmed that others are having debt collecting agencies from Luxembourg, hounding them for payment. (Large sums of money). I paid for 6 mths upfront and cancelled after approx. 3 mths. It didn't appear to be a genuine site, contacts were made but once you tried to make arrangements to meet, you were ghosted. When I cancelled my membership I did not receive an email notification, there was no paper trail for proof of cancellation. Now I'm in a battle with an overseas debt collector. Its 3.20 a.m. my time, I couldnt sleep because this is playing on my mind. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and if 95% are giving this site a 1 star rating then take heed and save yourself the anxiety and sleepless nights. And shame on you representatives that then place an amicable comment, making out that you care and that this is a reputable company, shame on you :(

Otherwise; if you didn't cancel your subscription and didn't pay the renewal / didn't contact customer service before the debt was passed over, then yes, the agency will take over the debt recovery.
