Didn't warn that booking was through Sykes.

Good search facility and easy booking but was using Snaptrip to avoid Sykes. Once booking made and deposit paid up popped a message that we had booked with Sykes! Would have expected warning of that - plus there was then a Sykes booking fee revealed as constituting part of the price.

Not sure is correct, however Albert Bridge Spacious room advertising is a scam, the link connects me to this page.

Booking enquiry

I am a young 82yrs old. I have a booking enquiry. Once you have secured payment you don’t want to know of any difficulties that I might encounter. I have spent hours trying to contact you but you won’t respond. Your service is the worse that I have ever encountered. I just don’t know what to do now. Disgusted.

5 Star Web Site from Start to Finish

Had a great experience on this site, was looking for a suitable cottage for our holiday.Well what a lovely selection to choose from all reasonably priced, the area that is covered I was really impressed.
The information about the properties I wanted to know about was interesting, informative and helpful as regards the layout, how many steps, how many floors.
Really good website no matter how new you are to internet search, which I am, very easy to get around and then once you’ve made your decision on property.
the process of making payment was trouble free and straightforward.
There are phone numbers if you have problems, however such a great site will definitely be using again.

High Wardneuk Cottage Ayrshire

Hi, I spent the weekend in High Wardneuk Cottage in Ayrshire (stunning location) and had a great stay, the owner made us feel very welcome, the accommodation was fantastic and absolutely spotless with every last detail taken care of including doggy towels, poo bags and biscuits.
We will definitely be booking again in the near future.

Added some stress and confusion unnecessarily …

I didn’t really realise I had booked with Snaptrip, I guess I need to be more careful but the Trustpilot rating had led me I think. I found some lovely places at good prices so I am grateful for that. When I actually booked though, I had confirmation emails from both Snaptrip and Cottages.com and had been charged but the 3 dogs part of my booking had not transferred into the Cottages.com confirmation which was quite annoying as I had to contact them to update it as the online account access that it directed me to for this did not work, redirecting me to the ‘old’ website fo this which kept giving error when I tried to login. Then, I received an email from Snaptrip saying my booking hadn’t gone through. This all added unnecessary stress to the experience but the booking HAD gone through. I’ll just go directly to Cottages.com next time I think as am unsure why I needed Snaptrip and how they were involved anyway. Again, I’m sure it’s my fault, I will be more careful next time.
