I cannot fault this company. I wish more companies were like this.
They were quick to provide detailed quotes and happy to to adjust to my needs as I found out more.
The installation team were friendly, polite and professional. The installed equipment was done neatly, including cabling runs in the loft. The installers were happy to accommodate my preference for equipment locations and external cable runs.
During switch-over, the power was off for just 15 minutes!
I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a solar installation.

Solar Star Power Ltd were extremely efficient from start to finish. They answered all questions and explained things succinctly. They started and completed the installation in 6 hours including erecting and dismantling the scaffolding. The workmen were friendly and courteous. I recently completed a ground-up refurbishment of a bungalow, including an 8kW air-source heat pump system. We involved Solar Star Power at an early stage who thoroughly analysed our requirements, providing excellent unbiased advice. With Solar Star Power being an authorised Octopus installer, this clinched the deal.
Despite long delays in the refurbishment, Solar Star Power were very patient, offering sound advice along the way, with no pressure at any time.
We ordered 20 solar panels with a Tesla Powerwall 3 and a Zappi EV charger. The installation took less than 2 days to complete. Everyone that was involved in the installation were very thorough, efficient and friendly, leaving the property immaculate. The various apps for the Tesla Powerwall, Zappi and Octopus were installed, set up and explained in detail by the installation guys, leaving me confident in the operation of the whole system.
Post-installation, the Solar Star Power team provided a full Operation and Maintenance pack along with all Certificate etc and, most importantly liaised with MCS and National Grid to allow us to set up an Export Tarriff with Octopus; this was not an easy task, but Solar Star Power kept us fully updated during the whole process.
To summarise, Solar Star Power are an exceptional company with outstanding people in Sales, Installation and in the Office. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Very efficient / great service / competatively priced

We were quite apprehensive about having a solar and battery system installed. We received a personal recommendation for Solar Star Power and thought we would give them a try.

I'm so pleased we did. We have been totally impressed by the whole experience from Solar Star energy. From initial contact through to having the system designed for our needs, and explained to us, without any form of pressure to proceed at any point.

We thought the price was most competitive. The work commenced on the date we agreed and was top quality and highly professionally installed.

We are so pleased with the operation of the new system and would not hesitate to recommend Solar Star Power without reservation.

Solar star were recommended by a friend in Leek who had used them for his solar installation some years ago.
Right from the start they were supremely professional. From the initial survey to the options presented and discussed by the sales team through to plans for installation and then the actual installation work.
The guys who came to install the scaffolding, electrics and panels and battery were incredible. Polite and hard working and completed the whole thing in one day.
The after sales was great too with a pack being sent with all our certificates and warranties etc

5 stars do not reflect just how good this company and its team of people are. The standard of work and the ease of communication has been exceptional.
Other than the purchase of our home the solar system (powerwall 3 plus solar panels) has been the best purchase we have ever made, this was confirmed when we just recently had a 24 hour power outage but could still run our home during.
Our story:
Our journey to this point has been long and difficult mainly due to finding the right supplier enter “Solar Star Power”. Up until this point we had talked to many different suppliers some wanting money upfront, others ridiculed us when asking about return on investment, one or two didn’t even want to look at our roof or electrics to confirm suitability.
With SSP we found them by looking for an approved Octopus installer then performed our own due diligence of them and could only find positive reviews with Emily being mentioned many times.
We decided to ask SSP for a quote followed by a survey. Enter Emily what a star she was friendly, professional and easy to talk to and at no point made us feel uneasy to ask questions, she knew what to check and took photos to aid installation.
Following the survey we agreed to place an order, they did not want any money until the job was complete this ticked a big box with us and instilled confidence in the company.
When installing the system all of the teams were efficient, friendly and willing to answer our questions, they were respectful of our property and very easy to get along with.

Straightforward and knowledgeable advice from the outset and without using undue jargon. From the ordering to the installation, everything was handled in a professional manner and there was always someone to speak to on the phone. I would certainly recommend the company.

I would recommend this company. I never felt under pressure to accept a quote until I was happy with the spec and price and Louisa my sales advisor went through all my requirements fully. The team who installed my solar and battery set-up were excellent, respectful of my home and left everything clean and tidy. I'm also very happy with the warranties offered with my product.

Having spent quite a lot of time trying to navigate the Wild West of Solar installation companies I was really happy to find Solar Star after an arranged installation with one of the bigger utility companies was cancelled due to a disconnect between what was specified and what was going to be delivered.

Solar Star's quotation process was smooth with no hard sell. After speaking to Solar Star's Head electrician and explaining what we wanted, I was confident that they would be able to meet our requirements and that the installation would be carried out as if it was their own property.

The installation process for 14 panels and a Tesla Powerwall 3 was carried out over the course of two days, with no mess or hassle. Our installation was not standard, involving a 20m cable run between the meter and the Powerwall 3 . This involved routing the cable behind garden plants, under a flagged pathway to a detached garage (where the Powerwall 3 was installed). I felt the installation team went the extra-mile (in pouring rain) to route cables discretely and ensured a neat finish.

Solar Star's pricing was very competitive, but I think what really sets Solar Star apart is the personal touch and taking pride in what they do. I was particularly impressed by Solar Star's efficient no nonsense processes and the quality of communication and workmanship.

I have no hesitation in recommending Solar Star to friends and family. It is quite refreshing for a company to deliver what they promise on time, first time and with no surprises.

Really pleased with our recent solar installation. From quote to finish it was smooth and fast. One day to sort electrics and one day for the 22 panels to go up. The installers were polite and tidy and kept me informed throughout. Obviously with a winter installation we are yet to see the full benefit of our system. However, we have had a few sunny days which has shown the future potential of our panels. The app linked to the panels is easy to understand and was explained fully by our installer Dave. Price was competitive and actually included a much better quality battery than all my other similar quotes. Very happy and will recommend to others.

From the enquiry, quotation and installation was undertaken in a professional manner. Nothing was too much trouble for the company. After installation any queries were answered efficiently and quickly. This is my second purchase from the company and I would have no hesitation in recommending them in the future.

Can’t rate these guys highly enough!!!
Thinking I was doing my due diligence I contacted 4 companies re a solar system.
Sadly due partly to the fact that Solar Star don’t pester you like others I ended up believing the complete nonsense I had been spun by a rival company as to their being preferred Tesla installers etc and made the huge mistake of going with them based on this totally incorrect information.
After being messed about for months by them and starting to realise they were being less than honest, I contacted Emily at Solar Star Power.
I’d been told the new Tesla product the PW3 was not yet available. After speaking with Emily and Dave I found that they had in fact been available for some time to those companies in a position to buy direct and that they had been installing them for some time. They could well of said, you’ll now have to wait as you didn’t accept our qoute back in July, and were now too busy but no, to say they acted quickly and efficiently to help rectify my issue, is an understatement.
Within 48 hours their guy had visited the property, checked all the details and arranged the install. Within the next 7 days the install, a fairly large 22 panels and Powerwall 3 system had been installed and working perfectly and the DNO had been sorted without any hassle.
The entire team were so proffesional from start to finish it was refreshing to see.
From roofers, to electricians, to the lady in accounts nothing was a problem and there was no mess no fuss just turn up do what they’re paid to do and leave the place like they’ve never been there.
After being through a two year major renovation on a 200 year old farmhouse I’ve become accustomed to the many of the “Bodgit and Scarper Ltd “ companies found these days so it’s been a weight off my mind and really refreshing to find someone that can actually do what it says on the tin. Believe me there isn’t many trades these days that take their work as seriously as these guys.
As soon as the Tesla expansion boxes become available in the U.K. I’ll be having them back to install along with an Eddi which I overlooked!
If you’re considering solar or battery storage I’d highly recommend you give these guys a call.
Don’t do what I did and fall for the sugar coated bull***t of the one most pushy.
These guys may not pester you every day to see if you’ve made your mind up but once you say do it it’s done!!!

The good quality materials and the hugely helpful staff. We like that this company uses apprentices and helps give them training in a future-facing industry.

Solar Star Power offered a fantastic service from start to finish. The initial visit to look at the project was prompt and really useful to quickly understand the correct system for our dairy farm which is on single phase electric and needed a new grid connection. Communication to finalise the quote was great. Installation was very well planned prior to starting the work and both the electricians and panel fitters were very reliable and hard working. Nothing was an issue for them. Overall I was recomended Solar Star Power by my Uncle and I will certainly recommend them to anyone else. Thank you.
