Tristan Kumm was excellent in providing me with clear and informative instructions and responses, and he expedited the whole claim process for me. It was only a few days between submitting the claim, to Sundays reviewing it, then accepting it and then transferring funds to my account to help me pay for the works to my bike. I couldn’t recommend the whole process more highly.
Very straightforward and competitive.

He helped us enormously - the process of filing our claim was straightforward thanks to his advice.
The timeline from doing this to having our claim accepted and paid out was only a few days.
We are happily back riding thanks to him!

Very impressed with the service provided by Sundays. They replaced all the items of clothes damaged in my crash as well as covering all the fees for the damage and repairs to the bike.

1 star. Do not insure your bicycle with this company.
Sundays Insurance is the consumer-facing brand. Red Sands Insurance Company (Europe) Limited is the underwriter. This review applies to both — they operate as one.
My bicycle (high value S Works SL8) was stolen from my workplace. I had locked it to a fixed post with an approved lock. I reported it to the police, to my employer, and filed a claim the same day. Red Sands declined the claim. They argued the lock was not engaged at the point of theft — it was, but released through an unexpected chain of events outside my control. They then accused me of dishonesty because I initially named the wrong lock — an honest mistake I corrected immediately. They invoked a fraud exclusion over it.
I provided a witness statement, pushed my employer and the police to share CCTV, and gathered every piece of evidence I could. Red Sands used every procedural angle available to avoid paying out.
It took eighteen months, a formal complaint, and the Financial Ombudsman issuing a final decision to force Red Sands to accept the claim. The ombudsman rejected both of their grounds for declining — the security condition and the dishonesty allegation — and ordered them to pay out plus compensation. Red Sands objected. The ombudsman dismissed their objections and confirmed the decision unchanged.
Eighteen months of correspondence, evidence-gathering, and emotional energy — while working full-time as a doctor — for an insurance company to do the one thing it exists to do. An honest correction about a lock became a fraud allegation. A stolen bicycle became an ordeal.
Do not use Sundays Insurance or Red Sands for bicycle insurance. If you cycle and your bike has any value, insure it elsewhere. With anyone else.
Happy to provide a reference number from the Financial Ombudsman case.

NON-STOP SALES HASSLE! If what you love is being bombarded with daily (sometimes more than daily) sales calls & emails. Sundays are the insurer for you. Otherwise- avoid.

Once again had to unfortunately call upon the help of Sunday's insurance after having a second MTB stolen and knife point. Once again Sunday's insurance saved the day(so to speak)
They have replaced the bike like for like, took them less than 24 hours to accept the claim, Laure was such a help, friendly and professional. They explained everything I needed to provide to help the claim along. Hopefully this will be the last time I have to use Sunday's insurance but if I do need to I know that they will be as supportive as they can be.
