Refund for cancelled flight
I booked a flight from Bucharest to Chisinau and it was cancelled just outside the two week window. Granted I will not get EU261 compensation but I am getting no responses for my request to refund the flight that they cancelled.
Chagrijnige bende
Ontzettend chagrijnig personeel, moest ook opeens me personal item wegen, deze was 1 kg te zwaar en moest hierdoor handbagage inchecken voor €70…
Stewardessen waren helemaal bloed chagrijnig, en vlucht was ook alles behalve stabiel.
Ik sla Tarom zeker over.
No debería tener permitido volar espacio europeo
La peor aerolínea. Pague 25€ por un asiento en primera fila y no lo respetaron. No contestan las decenas de veces que he tratado de contactarlos ni las reclamaciones por mail ni por web. El teléfono también es nula la atención y maleducados cuando tienes la suerte que te contesten. Los asientos rotos y en mal estado, la aeronave sucia . Inconcebible que la dejen volar dentro de la Union Europa.

Terrible experience with TAROM. A flight attendant yelled at me and refused to give their name. No response to my official complaint. Extremely unprofessional. I’ll never fly with them again.
Failure to adhere to EU regulations on compensation
I live in Bucharest and I've flown with Tarom many times and they're fine - as long as everything goes smoothly. If there are any problems - such as when my flight was cancelled last year -RO361 from Henri Coanda(OTP) 22.04.2024, 08:35 AM to Amsterdam Schiphol(AMS) - meaning I also missed my connecting flight - then you're doomed. I had to wait five hours for the next available flight, then take a train, then an Uber. Compensation? There is no means of trying to get compensation from them - even using a third party lawyer it's going to take two years. It's disgraceful that Tarom don't abide by EU regulations on compensation - they're not even a budget airline - they're Romania's national carrier!
Not recommending
One of the guys in our group bought round-trip tickets from that company.
In practice, due to certain constraints, he ended up flying a few days earlier with a different airline, and when the date of his return flight came, he found out they had canceled his ticket, claiming it was due to overbooking.
What’s worse is that he ended up flying on that exact same flight, but the airline made him pay for the ticket again.
Outrageous and disgraceful. You don't see things like that.

Worst airline I have ever dealt with. Horrible customer service overall, cancelling and rebooking flights days apart with no alternatives. Leaving customers stranded. I would avoid at all cost!
Another day, another delay!
What do you know, another day and another delay! What a hateful airline!!!!! I actually asked my travel desk to book via any other airline, which they did. Turns out the flights are actually operated by Tarom. They should drag the Tarom management into a public square and end the misery they cause!

Paris - Bucarest - Paris.
J'avais un bagage cabine pour l'aller et j'ai dû mettre un petit sac en soute pour le retour (divers petit achats fait à Bucarest) 75 euros ! ça c'est du vol (sans vouloir faire de jeux de mots).
Compagnie Nationale qui fait très low-cost, préférez Air France (même si ça a beaucoup baissé) c'est toujours mieux...

Flug Frankfurt Bukarest, knapp 2 Stunden Verspätung, keine Informationen am Gate, Innenausstattung im Flugzeug ( 737-600 ) extrem abgenutzt / beschädigt. Im Flugzeug kein Service - noch nicht einmal ein Wasser.

Worst Airline !
I paid 25€ for assigned seat (Madrid - Bucharest) when I did the check in I found out they changed Aircraft (or something) and I did not have an assigned seat. I have been sending e mails, contact via website and phone to get my 25€ and I’ve been totally ignored. The airplanes were old. Chairs broken, unconfortable, dirty and very bad service in general. Never again !!
No reply to damage reports
This company does not even have the decency to respond to damage claims - I reported a claim on 11th January 1 day after my flight where the checked in luggage arrived to destination damaged;
I did everything right, reported the damage at the airport, got a report number and was told to submit an email to an address where guess what you will just use to do the report of damage but not receive any response for 3 weeks.
Be careful buying tickets from Romanian air company Tarom .
I will not recommend this airline company. At 3rd stop in Bucharest OTP airport they didn’t put right gate number . And a lot of people waited at diferent gate . Airplane took off without anointing ((( Than we bought tickets and price was huge for passengers and baggage . And later I found that all my return flight was cancel and not restored . Customer service not responded on email .And I bought return flight again!!! If you have different option - stay away from Romanian air company !!!

Dommage. Ça fait 25 ans que je voyage avec Tarom 3 fois / an sur la route Paris / Bucarest/ Paris. Toujours bien passé jusqu'à cette année. Le 2 janvier 2025 j'ai voyagé en famille sur le vol Tarom Ro383 Bucarest Paris. Parce que nous n'avons pas réservé les sièges ( 25 euros par personne , alors que le prix du billet aller retour à été déjà de 1250 euros...) , nous avons été punis et répartis sur des sièges dispersés, moi le siège 19B, mon mari ne 23 E et mon fils l le 25F, en conditions que mon fils souffre d'un syndrome de stress post-traumatique. C'était très important pour nous de rester ensemble, sur des sièges côté à côté , surtout pour le décolage et l'atterrissage. Raté. Je me suis sentie traitée comme une cliente seconde hand, alors que jusqu'à présent j'étais justement une des clientes les plus fidèles de la compagnie Tarom.Le personnel de bord à essayé de remédier la situation, mais l'échange qu'il m'ont proposé pour 30 min sur la durée du vol n'a en rien amélioré la situation, nous n'étions toujours pas assis à côté et j'ai plusieurs fous du changer de siège, que de l'énervement. Désolée! La prochaine fois je ne choisirai plus Tarom! Ce système d'attribution des sièges pour payer encore plus pour des billets qui sont déjà très chères, plus chères que chez d'autres compagnies.... viré au chantage!
