Do not fly this company even of it is…

Do not fly this company even of it is your last option. They overbooked my flight and instead of booking my fiance in another flight they did not let him board because of our dog not meeting the requirements although we flew with the same cage same dogs many times before. When I arrive at my seat I see that my fiancé's seat is occupied by someone else while the whole flight is full. Very shitty move.

The customer service is awful—basically…

The customer service is awful—basically non-existent! We booked our tickets with Tarom, and while trying to add luggage, the Tarom app wouldn’t allow us, showing that we already had 1 piece of hand luggage and 1 checked bag included in the flight.
I called them before the flight to clarify, but the lady who answered was very rude and unhelpful. She claimed she couldn’t even find the flight! As a result, we went to the airport assuming the luggage shown in the app was correct and more than enough for our trip.

However, at the bag drop desk, we were charged for the checked bag because it turned out the app had a bug, and the checked luggage wasn’t actually included. If we had known this earlier, we wouldn’t have packed the extra luggage for our trip—but by that point, it was too late.

On our return, the same issue occurred. We tried contacting multiple email addresses listed on their website, but no one ever responds to these emails. I called their customer service multiple times, only to be told they could assist only via email—yet no one replies!
This is absolutely appalling. They clearly do not care about their customers, and their customer service is non-existent.

I had a consistently frustrating…

I had a consistently frustrating experience with this airline. Every time I contact their support center, I am put on hold for at least 15 minutes. After selecting English as the preferred language, I am often spoken to in Romanian. The representatives fail to introduce themselves, and the conversation feels one-sided, with little communication beyond them waiting for me to guess their next steps. Unfortunately, this is not a one-time issue—it happens every time I call.

Today, when I tried to book a flight for my cat, one of the representatives yelled at me and did not allow me to speak. Furthermore, there seems to be no accessible avenue for filing a formal complaint. Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied with this airline and will not be booking with them again.

I was traveling to Romania in 2023 from Canada via Italy Rome I lost the connection to tarom I paid 305 euro plus 250 euro inside Romania when I came buck to Canada ,tarom cancelled my paid ticket from Cluj to Paris so I paid 545 Lei to Bucharest in Bucharest it was an honest lady who figured out that I have a valid ticket I will never go to Romania its a corrupt country

The most unprofessional company

The most unprofessional company. Don't fly with them and try to avoid them as much as possible. I arrived at the check in 45 minutes before my flight to drop my bag and surprise surprise, it was closed. I finally got to the boarding gate, and there were two employees who told me "the papers are already signed, you can't board the plane". That was 15 minutes before the flight. In the end I complained and asked them "Now what's next?" And their employee replied, "What do you think? Nothing."

Not everyone has a bad experience.

Cheap flight London to Romania and I have 0 complaints! I’m well travelled and travel regularly, last minute get away and needed good flight times. I didn’t hold much hope after reading the reviews to be honest but one of the smoothest landings I’ve ever experienced and not a single issue with delays or luggage! It’s not your standard on board catering or trolley service but drinks and snacks are available should you need them on the short flight! I will be using TAROM again and recommending them. Just for context I very rarely review be use I just assume it’s what I paid for unless it’s a bad experience then complain…which in this case I think it the reason for such a low score. If all the others on my flights and I should think many more happier customers left a review, it would be much higher and not put customers off.

Avoid! Thieves!

Thieves!! Do NOT book with them!! They only allow for 8 kg of carry-on and personal item together, and they charge exorbitant amounts for anything extra. And you only find this out at the airport. All other airlines we took have the maximum set at 23 kg. I had to pay an additional 145 euros!!! (International flight) for the *extra* 13 kg of luggage, which was then placed as checked baggage. Despicable!

Thieves!

I hate to say this, but this is the worst airline ever! They are thieves.

Long story short, I purchased round-trip tickets, and their baggage policy was unclear—unlike other airlines. I had flown with them before, and checked baggage was included in the price, so I assumed it would be the same this time. Well, I was wrong! I ended up paying 75 euros for a small bag that could’ve been taken on board, as it was apparently included with the ticket.

The issue is, I emailed Tarom almost two weeks before my flight to clarify the baggage allowance and received no response. I contacted both email addresses listed on their website. After my flight, I was furious, so I called them. After being on hold for over 30 minutes, someone finally answered, but she was extremely rude and told me I should have called earlier if I didn’t get an email response. Excuse me, but I don’t have time to wait 30-60 minutes on the phone to get an answer—that’s why you provide an email option! And let’s not even mention the lack of a live chat feature.

The customer service rep refused to help and wasn’t giving me the attention needed, so I asked to speak with a manager. She refused, claiming there was no manager, then said the 'non-existent' manager would contact me by email. I requested a phone call instead, but now, a week later, I’ve received no communication from Tarom.

So yes, I ended up paying 75 euros for absolutely nothing because this company is ignoring my queries. I requested a refund but of course, this was denied!
I will do everything I can to avoid flying with them again. They are thieves!

Extremely bad

Extremely bad. every time there are flight delays. I never got it to take off on time. anything else I think is better. Inside smells of fuel. I don't recommend it.

Comfortable seat for business short haul..BUT TERRIBLE service

We were grateful for a very comfortable seat ( for short haul business) if you consider what the seats are usually like on short haul. Very wide, plenty of leg room, able to sleep as so cosy. Otherwise !! wow...the worse thing for me was the rudeness of the crew. No hello, no welcome, their faces / expressions , so miserable it was unbelievable. We were on a, just over 3 hour flight, not long ( just as well), not once offered a glass of water or coffee..no one in business was offered anything ! we were told at check in no food..ok, its not far, we will just eat later..but nothing to drink ?!! The cabin crew stayed behind the curtain. I could see through the gap, one of them was on their phone much of the time. They came out a few times to check seat belts on and did safety announcement. As I say, if you want a comfy short haul seat, go for it, dont expect anything else. I was fine, didn't need anything, but WOW , that staff need full training, even to learn to smile, would make travelling so much nicer. !
Be aware, from what I understand, if you want food, you need to order 24 hours before the flight , we knew that as we were told no food on flight, so not complaining about this so much, although, they could offer something !

Baggage lost 2 times in a row

Baggage lost 2 times in a row. They are expensive, always late and no catering. The last 2 flights they lost the luggage and there's no customer service from their side, meaning the people at the lost and found they are fed up, inexperienced and rude to people. When the Baggage arrives it takes 1 hour to wait at the belt

AVOID AT ALL COST!!

AVOID AT ALL COST!! I tried to contact them regarding a refund request, no one replies to email, called all three numbers on the website, no one answers the call. You can't get hold of them at all!! How shameless.
