Bought a set called Hunter...brought…

Bought a set called Hunter...brought home the 2 nightstands in our car, then borrowed a vehicle to pick up rest. Took it all home except the footboard which wouldn't fit. When we opened it at home, one nightstand had a big chip in the top, one dresser was completely busted, and the other was warped...one drawer was sticking out and wouldn't go in. Called Teppermans, was sent an email requesting we send photos and they would get back to us in 5 days. Called them back again, explained this needed fixed quicker as we were staging the house to put it up for sale. Talked to 3 different people in the next 4 days (each was going to check into it and call back, but not one did!) I did state we would bring back the furniture and just get our money back, but was told they don't do that...they will only warranty the furniture and replace what can't be fixed! Finally got someone to say replacements would be delivered on Aug 19(original purchase was Aug 9). When furniture came (I did take the day off work to accept delivery), the 8 drawer dresser was not on the truck; instead, they sent 2 of the 5 drawer dressers. All pieces were put together and wrapped in plastic, so they looked ok. Drivers took back the wrong dresser as well as the original damaged pieces. I got a call from Sam in customer service the next day asking me to clarify as she had no record about the 8 drawer dresser!! What!!!??? They took the broken one with them the day before!! She put me on hold for 5 minutes to check into it, then came back to say noe she understood...great!! However, now I have to wait another 3 weeks for that dresser because that will be the first truck in our area with room! I reminded her that it should have been there the day before when I took the day off from work, but somebody in Teppermans "somehow" entered the wrong number on the work order. I also reminded her that if I had not been given crap items to start with none of these further issues would have happened! She was going to contact the person in charge of deliveries to see what they could do for us...again (apparently they went out of their way to make the delivery on Aug 11 for us...again, not our fault we were given crap and not allowed to return it for a refund!!). Then, if that is not enough, when we went to bring in the new nightstand (we had them leave it in our garage), when the plastic was removed, and we went to pick it up, the drawer fell out as there was no stopper and it busted! The bottom drawer will barely move...it was put together wrong! This is so ridiculous it would almost be funny!! Do Not Waste your money on this crap...and be aware they can give you any busted up furniture but you will not get your money back! I will be walking into the store with this busted nightstand in the next day or so when I calm down and drop it on the customer service desk!! Scam!!! Never expected this from Teppermans, but there it is!!!!Do not bother to give me some 877 number to call either...just a complete waste of my time! An actual manager can call me to discuss...but I won't hold my breath!

Do not recommend the Bosmer recliner

Do not recommend the Bosmer recliner. It looks good but these is not enough padding in the lumbar area. The back rest is actually concave and i feel like i am about the be swallowed up by it. I flipped it over to try and stuff more padding but the springs are so low it was no use. i swear it feels like its been stuffed with clouds. But the arm rest and foot rest are over stuffed. My feet don't touch the floor because the foot rest is over stuffed. I wanted to leave a review of this chair on the Tepperman's website but it wouldn't let me. I know Tepperman's didn't make this chair but they haven't even called or emailed me back after stating my concerns on their survey.

Customer service cares about your purchase satisfaction

Had a previous posting with regards to premature fabric wear.
Barb at customer service stepped up and was on top of the matter within days.
Barb was very open and willing to do the right thing. We are satisfied that we all arrived at an agreement that benefited everyone.

I bought a couch off of Teppermans in…

I bought a couch off of Teppermans in 2017 and I purchased the 5 year warranty because the salesman at that time told me everything was covered. So this week I found a stress tear in one of my cushions I have warranty no problem phone teppermans told me phone the warranty company they said no it is not covered phoned teppermans back they would not replace the cushion like I wanted. The only thing they would do is give me a deal on a new couch. What a scam new couch for one cushion. Never deal with this company again. Beware of warranty they sell you
you could get a very big surprise like I did. Good bye Teppermans would never recommend your company to anyone.

Teppermans is not trustworthy

Purchased items in July 2020 as of November no furniture. No phone call from the store. They lie and stall. We finally got furniture in January after a long back and forth, I selected other pieces got it delivered and I believe it’s used. Hair and fiber under the cushion a big bulge in the couch. It’s just sad how they do business. They are not trustworthy.

Exceeds expectations; courteous staff

Time and time again the staff at Teppermans have been extremely helpful with meeting our needs. Even when we have had issues (changing our mind on products) the staff is quick to make it a seamless transaction. Couldn’t be happier with the service even during the current lockdown. - Kudos to Richard from the London Outlet

Furniture is cheap quality

Furniture is cheap quality. Have a power recliner that cost 1000 and yr later the arm is ripping and it squeaks. The recliner couch does the same thing everytime you move in it creaks and squeaks. Never buying there again

Power Backup for Lift Chair

We purchased a Solutions Layflat Lift chair with battery power backup on July 28, 2020. It was delivered on August 13. We put two new9V batteries in the power backup box. On September 23 our power went off when my husband was lying flat and the backup made some noises but failed to lift the chair. We phoned Tepperman’s who sent a technician out on October 6. The technician said the chair was fine and the problem had to do with the backup. He said he’d try to get a new one from the company and Tepperman’s would get back to us. A few days later we got a call from a central Customer Service who said they had contacted the company and nothing more could be done. After several more phone calls and another visit to the store when we talked to a manager from Kitchener-Waterloo, we got a call saying they would send out another identical chair on November 18 but if that did not work there was nothing more they could do. The second chair also made a few noises when power went out but did not raise the chair at all so it was returned to the warehouse unused. It seems that your company is selling these lift chairs that supposedly have power outage backup but this feature does not work. Your customers who would need a lift chair definitely would be dependent on the power outage backup. We look forward to hearing from you that you will send a technician to fit the chair with a power backup system that works.

I purchased a brand new TV three months…

I purchased a brand new TV three months ago... let alone the guy that brought it out too my van was running with it being on the cart...and now it's in the repair shop and they're taking it apart and replacing parts in it... now remember it's 3 months old brand new out a box and the plug is not going into it properly & screen is having problems & now they can't replace my tv they are taking it apart and replacing parts & now I've been waiting over 2 weeks now with no tv.... What's the point of extra warranty if the employees don't know what they're talking about 🤣 " You would get a new TV if anything happens"
& If they're is a "manufacturer" problem they should replaced it with a new tv & sent this tv back to the company .. Not leave me go without a tv & have a brand new tv I got get taken apart... Any other store if I called and said this stuff was going on with the tv I would get the same tv new in a box exchanged ... Ridiculous ... & Still waiting on the tv parts to come in the mail and the place is up the street from me ........ Never would recommend this place ... Save yourself the headache

I purchased stackable LG washer and…

I purchased stackable LG washer and dryer. Installation service is really really bad and deserve minus. Installation person was very rude and was arguing lot. He was rushing and made us feel very tense. He didnt do his job properly. First of all he started arguing that you had to turn off water. Sales man didnt tell us that we have to turn off water. My husband came within 10 minutes from his work and he turned off water. He said due to liability reason I will not connect vent of the dryer into our wall. We said ok dont do this. He stacked unit, then my husband said you didnt clamp the vent to the dryer. He said you didnt tell me before. My husband said, do i have to tell you, its your job to do this. We paid installation fee and u are not doing this free .He was rushing saying i have 14 more deliveries and you are the 7th one. If we are late we will be in trouble. When they clamped vent to the dryer, it fell off in front of them within few seconds. It means didnt do it properly. When they were about to leave, we asked them if they turned on water. He said yes. But when next day we tested washer, machine didnt fill any wate because that person didnt turn on water. we were so stresed out because we had no way to reach hoses, water hoses were on the right sides of stacked machines. Then we pushed machines and turn on water. Now washer is working but for dryer i will try to find any person from kijiji to hook it up properly. Next time I will not take their installation service .Maybe they behave badly only with immigrants.

Best furniture shopping experience

Good evening, i just need to share, we visited the ancaster location today, I can't express how happy we are with the service we received today. The salesmen are awesome, so friendly and helpful. Not pushy at all! They addressed all 3 of my children. We bought an entire bedroom set, mattress and fridge. The salesmen we dealt with went above and beyond to make our visit to teppermans a memorable one and we will most definitely be back in the future ❤

I BOUGH A CHAISE LOUNGER & KITCHEN TABLE THE CHAISE DIDN'T FIT EVEN KNOW I WAS TOLD IT WOULD I'VE BEEN CALLING SINCE SAT TO MAKE SURE THEY HAVE CREDIT MY ACCOUNT I'VE TALKED TO 3 PEOPLE SO FAR TODAY ONLY TO HEAR SOMEONE ELSE WILL CALL ME BACK I ALSO HAVE TO PAY FOR DELIVERY AGAIN IF I ORDER SOMETHING ELSE BECAUSE I WAS TOLD THE CHAISE WOULD FIT IN THE ROOM YOU THINK THEY WOULD COVER THE $75.00 BECAUSE IT'S THEIR FAULT FOR SAYING IT WOULD FIT HELLO BRICK ACROSS THE STREET GOODBYE TEPPERMANS YOU CLEARLY DON'T WANT OR NEED NEW BUSINESS

WHAT A JOKE

TERRIBLE SERVICE, NEVER SHOPPING AT THIS OUTFIT AGAIN. TEPPERMANS USES A THIRD PARTY WARRANTY / SERVICE GROUP TO FIX THEIR PRODUCT ISSUES...TOO BAD THIS WAS AN AWFUL DECISION, MUST BE COSTING THEM MAJOR $$$ IN CLAIM ISSUES YEAR AFTER YEAR. LOL...THIS WEBSITE IS FULL OF PISSED OFF CUSTOMERS JUST LIKE ME. WHAT A JOKE.

Left customer with damaged home

Had a new washer and dryer set delivered by Tepperman's June 2019. During the delivery Tepperman's spilt water all over my floor and didn't tell me, the dryer they delivered was non functional and I had to bring it back to the store myself in exchange for another unit. The washing machine was dented which they did give me a small credit for. When the Teppermans employee was doing the delivery they gouged my flooring. Teppermans sent an employee out a few days after the deliver who put some liquid on my floor to hide the damage, this failed. I was told they would look into what they can do. Since then Tepperman's has done nothing with respect to the damage to my flooring. I had to get my own contractor out give a quote on the damage this was provided to Teppermans almost a year ago and they have yet to do anything. I have been forced to start a small claims action against Teppermans for the damage they did to my home. I have dealt with Tepperman's for years, including buying nearly all the furniture in my house 4 years ago. After how they have treated a loyal customer when they caused and admitted to causing the damage to my home I would never let them near my home again.

Very bad customer service

Very bad customer service. We supposed to have delivery around 12 pm and no one showed up till end of the day. I called the delivery department and agent was so rude.

Rude and Aggresive, Result Called Police

Purchased a GE range from Tepperman’s on Thursday September 10, 2020.

Delivery was arranged for Saturday, September 12. To be delivered from 12:30 to 2:30 PM.

On Saturday the stove had not arrived by 3:15 PM and my wife, called Tepperman’s. They said delivery would be that day.

By 5:45 there was no delivery and my wife called Tepperman’s a second time to inquire if the stove would come that day. The Tepperman’s representative said that it was coming from London and would be at the house by 6:20 PM.

At 6:20 a large truck stopped in front of the house with Carr Delivery Service painted on the side. Two men got out. One man came to the door and I said, “You’re here. Bring it in”. He was immediately confrontational replying, “What does that mean!”. I explained that I was ready to receive the new stove but he continued with an aggressive attitude and questioning every word that I spoke. His obnoxious demeanor grew quite threatening. I tried calming him but he rejected it. Finally, being quite uncomfortable, I stated that I did not want him on my property. He did not leave. I said that I would call the police if he continued on my property. He said, “Go ahead!”. I called LaSalle Police for assistance. Then he did go to the road. I was concerned about this man and unsure what he might do. On the road he cursed me out a number of times.

I saw another deliveryman on the back of the truck and called him to the porch. His name is Exxxx. I asked him the other man’s name, Sxxxx, he responded. I inquired if Sxxxx was having a bad day? Exxxx was evasive so I inquired further. Did Sxxxx get in an argument at the last delivery? Is Sxxxx excessively tired? I was searching for a reason for Sxxxx’s quarrelsome demeanor. Exxxx could supply no reasoning for this partners aggression.

I asked if Exxxx could make the delivery himself and he said he would do it. He then proceeded to unload and bring the new stove to the porch. He went to the kitchen and removed the old unit to the driveway. Exxxx then picked up the new stove on his cart and brought it into the foyer. As the kitchen is on the second floor there are a number of stairs. Exxxx went up the stairs first and pulled the cart. I took the rear position and assisted with lifted the stove up each step. Delivery completed, Exxxx picked up the packing materials and loaded the old unit. Both my wife and myself thanked Exxxx and complimented him for a job well done under difficult circumstances. He did the job but also served to moderate a bad situation. When Sxxxx was cursing me from the road Exxxx asked him to go and sit in the truck.

Just as the LaSalle Police arrived the delivery truck pulled away. The Police Constable, Wxxxx, asked me what was happening. I explained the entire situation. The Constable advised me to report the incident to Tepperman’s. I request that Tepperman’s take appropriate action to ensure that Sxxxx’s duties exclude him from interacting with the public in future.

September 14, 2020 I called Tepperman’s Customer Care (should be named Tepperman’s Don’t Care) and asked to set up a meeting with the supervisor. The lady replied that she had to supply notes on the complaint and the supervisor would call me back. It is now September 21, late afternoon but I have no response. Bottom line, Don’t buy anything from Tepperman’s that you can’t pick up yourself!

Good product bad service

Placed an order 4 months ago. They said will take a month to delivery my sofa. After almost a month they call and said sorry we need 2 months more final September we deliver your order. Today they call sorry but we delivery your order MAYBE half of october! What the hell is this! I paid with my credit card, basically in cash full payment and I am waiting 3 months now 4 months for a sofa. They are working with my money until I am paying interest in my credith card and the only answer is sorry? i dont want a refund, I will loss money , all the interest payment in my credit card plus my time waiting. Then I have to accept delivery for next month. This is totally absurd!. The product is good but the customer service is a shame. They should offer some restitution maybe a discount or something for all my time waiting. I am paying interest and they are working with my money.

Tepperman's Home furnishings show room is exquisite. I enjoy the large quantity of high quality furnishings. I have purchased many of my furniture piece's, and appliance's from Tepperman's and have always been extremely pleased with the quality of every product. The staff are always ready to help, and are very pleasant. I highly recommend Tepperman's.
