I had bought a fridge I work hard for my money and I wanted to buy what I really wanted so I splurged and I never do. I never buy new either and somehow I understand why. After receiving a call that my delivery was there I said I will be there in less than five and the delivery guys left costing me 50.00 that’s just for staters thanks teppermans !!! After arranging to pickup fridge I get it home and it has to be taken apart to get into my house while doing so I notice there is two totally different colour grey paints down the side of my fridge and it was by far done neatly. I take note and take pics as I’m off to work and I work on an island that allows me no leeway for lateness. My job requires a lot of work and long days weeks away from home. After returning home I contact them to rectify this issue and my decision is I wanted new fridge or ordered new fridge I should get a new fridge. Agent from teppermans calls I’m in the middle of taking care of my home/work life and it’s jack timing on her behalf so I say okay okay to what she was offering. When my day slowed down and I spoke this over with family they reassured me that I wasn’t in the wrong for wanting more than $200 dollars returned I wanted the new fridge I ordered so I contacted teppermans. They were rude telling me no I accepted the $200 no I didn’t of I had accepted the $200 than I would have had it in my hands that didn’t happen. And if I had agreed so what after I thought it threw I no longer did agree at 3500 dollar fridge let’s keep in mind also so 200 off want anything. Bottom lines is I wanted a new fridge I should have got one. Don’t deal with teppermans there customer service is awful and they don’t show any respect to there customers after the conversations I had with them. My time is valuable don’t have it to waste on people that wanna send used items portraying them to be new and than don’t correct the situation. Just an awful experience

After two phone calls from Nick i still don't have my refund as promised in cheque form. Great place to never shop there again

I am a senior citizen who purchased a thru the wall air conditioner and paid extra for installation. I would think that means 1. Take it put of the box 2. Put it into sleeve 3. Fill in gaps with foam provided 4. Put on frame also provided 5. Plug in to make sure it works...reasonable? I thought so. Well here's what happened. #1, #2 done and#3 but didn't see if it worked. Now the two gentlemen were very nice and polite. So then I had to pay yet again to have someone come in and do a proper job. I do believe I should be reimbursed for the delivery and installation charges, don't you?

i paid for delivery i live in apt…

i paid for delivery from windsor store i live in apt building was home alone they dropped my couch off at back door to my building and told me it was threshold delivery (meaning door to building not door to your apt) and would not bring it up to my apt in elevator i will never order from them again ,money grabbing jerks leave a couch for a tiny lady to bring up to her apt

We bought a queen size bed from ancaster branch after a while bugs started coming out of the bed and we called customer service and they ignored my complaint ,they are so rude customer service I have ever seen so stay aware and don’t buy furniture from them so i had to get rid of the bed knowing that i still have 2 years of payment to go and i will lose 1200 dollars and god will never forgive them very bad store this is my last time will deal with them

We went to buy 2 TVs at the Teppermans in Ancaster, ON. The sale guy (Eric) was ok and gave us some of info about TVs. So we bought 2 TVs floor models, next day I go pick them up and take them home. We open our first 75'' TV , turn it on and we see a round black spot on the bottom right corner of the TV. So we call the store back and tell them about it and tell us to call the manufacturer for repair. So really bad service for selling us a broken TV and the whole time he didn't turn it ON so we can see the broken screen . I'm never going there again such bad people there.

Social Media has taken over our work lives too!!

I WISH I had my phone on me to take a picture!
When I went into the store in Windsor, Tuesday June 30 around 12 pm, every single employee (there were 7-8 of them) with the exception of one who was serving a customer were on their phone. One lifted her head up briefly to say hi to us and went right back to her phone-even the greeter at the door! Wow! This is what has become! I am shocked that management would even allow phones on the floor. With that said, I went elsewhere and bought my bedroom set from a store that appreciated our presence and our business.

Still waiting....

Placed an order and I am still waiting.Called several times and left messages with rude customer service representative. Salesperson never called back, I spoke with a pleasant manager today after my fourth call ,so we will see what happens. I will NEVER buy anything from here again.

Is teppermans a morally responsible business?

I notice the store is open for business so when I got home I called in.

The female operator store stated happily yes they are open.
I asked her, why they are open its not morally responsible to be open while the entire world is trying to flatten the spread.
She was defiant she stated no it's not morally wrong to be opened.

I guess she does not know what the word morally is
I guess she thinks it's ok to be defiant
I guess it's ok to show clients no concern or empathy
I guess she thinks it ok to be offensive with people while working

After that defensive re marks she stated we are closing on Monday I guess they did not wait to take the moral road they waited for the city to shut them down

Thanks teppermans for not being good windso rites and generally good humans and making a personal sacrifice to shut this virus down.
Every one needs to sacrifice to get the world back to the way it was even if it means losing money

First I am normally an extremely calm…

First I am normally an extremely calm person, I have never written a review before, but I feel I have to let other people know, about this customer service.
The customer service I am receiving is a atrocious, I worked in customer service for years, at 3 different places over my years of working, and we would never have treated people like this.
We bought a power reclining loveseat, paid over 2700.00 for this product, and even bought the extended warranty.
It was delivered on time, the delivery people were great. Delivered at 4:05, being new my husband of course wanted to try it right away, sat down for 20 minutes, then tried to unrecline chair. It would not work.
Immediately called the number on the sheet they left us. My husband explained exactly what was happening. The person on the phone said, she would call the delivery guys and see if they were still in area, and they would come back. She said she would call back and let us know. 3 and half hours later we again called. This time girl told us they would transfer us to a manager. Transferred and got an answering machine.
Called back again this time girl told us how sorry they were but they were so busy. She must have told us that 10 times. She tried to be helpful, but in the end said because they were so busy no one could possibly get here for four days. So the chair sits for four days extended out, having to walk around this stupid chair constantly.

Four days later guys came out to look at chair, they say we can’t fix it. They call customer service to tell them. She then calls me to tell me oh we must need to send a technician to fix chair. What are you kidding me, you didn’t already figure that out when we called and told you what was wrong. Then she says she will send a technician, I told her hang on we had this chair for a total of 20 minutes, I want a new one, this one is faulty. She said okay we will do that, but they can’t have it here for another week.
Still I am okay with that, but the guys that are here in my house right now, can not take this chair away. What I have to walk around this stupid broken chair for another week, because you can’t approve these two delivery guys to take away the faulty loveseat.
I then told her just come get it and give me a refund. Because the website says satisfaction guaranteed. False, they only guarantee what they want to guarantee. Do not I repeat do not ever buy anything from teppermans.

On August 13

On August 13, 2019, I purchased 2 accents chairs from Tepperman's in Ancaster. When I received the 2 accents chairs, you can tell that 2 different people made the chairs, one looked fine but the other chair, the arms were twisted inward. Also, one of the accent pillows was not sown on the corner, I was told that the person that would come and look at the chairs will also sow the pillow on site. I thought wow! But in fact, he did not and stated that he would replace the pillow instead. I don't know how to sow, or else I would have done it it wasn't much. That's another story, the replacement pillow was the same material but not the same pillow. lol

I made a complaint to customer service, they had one of their service guys come to look at the chairs and he said it was fine, nothing is identical and it meets their criteria!!! What? so if it's not okay but meets "their" criteria, they will do nothing about it and you are stuck with the product that you are not happy with. I was so thrown off by that comment. I took pictures of the 2 chairs and I went back to the store. The sales person stated you can see that one has something wrong with it with the arm coming in, they are not even made the same. So, I went to the store manager and he stated that he would replace the chair but it will take awhile since Christmas is approaching.

Today, 3 months later, the delivery guys came at 5:00 pm and they had 2 chairs for me. (I was only replacing one) I thought great at least one of them would be fine. NOPE! On one chair, the arm was sticking outwards and the other chair, there was a pull on the side because it was sown incorrectly. (are they getting people that have only basic sowing to do this?)

I left a message with the manager at the store but he wasn't in and then they transfered me to customer service. I had to deal with their customer Twice since I have had these problems, Tepperman's customer service is not for the customer...they will give you a hard time. The young girl that answered stated that the photos that the delivery guys were not clear and require more photos. I advised her that the chairs were sent back and even the delivery guys stated the same, her response to me was, "they are only the delivery guys!!! OMG! So, I guess they have no value!!! Clearly I'm upset and when customer service told me not to yell at her which I wasn't, I didn't even continue, I asked to speak with someone else. I knew how that conversation was going. She stated that she will have someone return my call. I have not had a return call yet.

I will not pay for the 2nd chair until I get a chair that is made properly or get compensated for the chair with the twisted arm.

I would never recommend Tepperman's to anyone, I bought the chairs at a discount of $700.00 each before tax, so $1,485.00 These are not a cheap little chair, they are not the most expensive but the workmanship of "Decor Design" in Vaughn is really bad...might as well say, "Made in China". haha I probably would have had better product if it was made in China.

Dissatisfied Customer!!!!!!!

frustrating

Honestly they were great in the beginning until we wanted to finance. Because we had already paid for a few pieces of furniture they had to create another account and switch the rest of our furniture over to that account to be financed. But that never happened. We had to call them countless times just to make sure our order was correct. And after they gave us a scheduled date they said it wouldn’t be coming because of the switch over so we now have to wait longer. Then we got a call saying we had a balance owing from the stuff that was delivered. But they had told us that they don’t deliver unless the stuff is paid for! They have been such a headache to deal with. And you get the run around because no one answers the phones. Now we received the invoice for both accounts and have no furniture on the new account that we had financed and went to sign and got a delivery time so we may end up with no furniture delivered Jan 25. I called again and this time someone answered but our sales rep was not in. And the CS rep gave me a little attitude on the phone when I repeated the rep I wanted to speak with because she didn’t respond. So I thought she didn’t hear me. I just want to cancel my order but some pieces are actually nice and match the decor in our house. And we have looked at many other places too. Also customer service info was different than what our sales rep said to us. So everything has been a hassle with teppermans compared the another store we have dealt with and had no issues. And everyone was on the same page.

If my credit was stellar I certainly…

If my credit was stellar I certainly wouldn`t be buying the lousy quality furniture you sell. Just out of curiosity why is there a credit builder program if you have to have perfect credit to be approved in the first place??? Buy elsewhere and at least get quality for the money you spend.

Bad customer service

Bad customer service. If you need warranty they book an appointment for a "day" but cannot give you any estimated time until the day before. If you "reschedule" two times they close the case and will not address your problem. My problems started with my new chair within 3 months of purchase, after they order the wrong part twice and of course waisted two days of my time, it was 7 months later before the repair was completed. It was then fixed 2 more times (same problem) when I called the 3rd time they stated my warranty was over....after stating the obvious they wanted to repair again and I stated t the repair person stated it cannot be fixed it's the design. I initiated them to contact the co. and I could then exchange it for a new chair but at the purchase price...I went in and was not willing to pay more again for another chair so I kept the one I have. They will never get another penny from me. They gave me $100 refund, very sad since the co. would reimburse them in full. I asked that a service manager call me and my email received no reply and I received no call. They were good years ago but must have grown too much to know who made them who they are!

We bought a very expensive fridge top of the line LG when they delivered the people who unloaded the truck had trouble taking the doors off so they couldn't get the fridge in the house so it sat in the garage my wife was very upset called teppermans and even went there to resolve this issue I've got to say on Monday shelley went obove and beyond to make sure this was fixed Mike the warehouse manager came by and took the doors off and brought the fridge in like a pro that he is thanx to mike ,shelley and management at teppermans you came through thanx again....mike and karen. Kitchener location....

Horrible Customer Care Service - No Resolution!

We took delivery of a sofa August 9, 2019. There was a quality problem with 3 of the matching pillows so I contacted customer care who confirmed the claim and indicated a 6-8 week waiting period for delivery of replacement pillows. Delivery would be right to my house.

Between August 9 and October 24 I followed up many times with Customer care representatives MacKenzie 4-5 times and Jennifer 2 times to inquire as to when pillows would arrive. Nobody seemed to be able to tell me.

October 24 called customer care again and spoke to Proveen,
CCare Manager. Proveen indicated pillows Shipped 15 August from overseas. Proveen said to be patient and said to wait 2 more weeks and they would be delivered for sure.

November 8 - It’s now 13 weeks since we reported the pillow claim and still no pillows. Called Proveen again. Proveen says they have an ETA of November 16 with delivery to me.

November 19 - now 14 weeks and no pillows. Called Proveen again. Was told he was In a meeting and would call me back when he’s out of his mtg. Never called me back.

November 22 - called at 10 am again to speak with Proveen and was told Proveen not in yet but should be in around noon. Left voice message on his machine indicating still no pillows and asked that he return my call. As of the writing of this review I have still not heard back from him.

This is totally unacceptable customer service. They don’t follow up on customer claims. They don’t return calls when they say they will and appear not to know how to deal with customers in a professional way. Bottom line is we still have no pillows and no idea if we ever will. Will likely never buy from Teppermans again as a result of this experience.

Excellent customer service

We dealt with Alberto M. in the appliance division at the Kitchener store. He was excellent in terms of product knowledge, helping us take best advantage of current offers and customer service as questions and a few complications (at our end) arose pre-delivery. Delivery people were very obliging also.
First class experience all around.

The delivery guys knocked two hooks off of my front chandelier as they were bringing the sofa in I called three weeks later I still haven't heard back from anybody really really bad customer service I would never shop there again

Never buy the floor model

Purchased a bed frame, looked great on display. However, it was the floor model and perhaps receiving a modest discount made me excited about it. This was short lived once it was delivered. Taken apart, most likely by someone who’s blind. Thus trying to assemble it made it virtually impossible. No hardware, broken pieces, no instructions. I put it together with some help from the internet. But finding after a month that this was a lemon for a bed frame. Perhaps brand new it would be good. I will definitely hard look at the items I am purchasing from here in the future. Plus they forgot my pillows for my couch and then called me to pick them up.
