I have just purchased my first proper road bike and I could not be happier. The professional advice and assistance given by Mathew was absolutely first class and made the entire experience a real pleasure.

The bike was set up exactly to fit me using their laser measuring technology. This along with Mathews many years of experience makes such an incredible difference to so many aspects of the ride and ownership .

This type of service is difficult to find these days and is certainly not found on the internet.

After seeking guidance on some new handle bars for my bike was advised they would take a few weeks to arrive. After waiting a short time was advised by Rod (I think) they had arrived and duely booked my bike into the worksop for exchange. Faultless service by both Rod and the skilled mechanic and would highly recommend.

I was considering a road bike upgrade for maybe 2024 but after seeing the fantastic sale offers at The Bicycle Lounge I visited the store to check them out. Matt was so helpful from the first introduction and happy to start a fit process without any obligation to purchase. Reviewing other brands at my budget it was clear the Pinarello Prince was the one for me. Matt then spent nearly two hours completing the fit on collection. Could not fault TBL service from start to finish and would highly recommend them if you are seeking a bike upgrade.

Over the years I have bought four bikes from Matt and his team, plus lots of bits and bobs. I cannot speak highly enough of the advice and service they consistently provide, and the responsible way they guide you to a conclusion that actually saves you money. Five Star Service is rare these days in my opinion.

I purchased a new bike from The Bicycle Lounge and every part of the communications and service were first class. From the inital email contact to check if the bike I wanted was in stock, arrangement to reserve it whilst I sorted out cycle2work, making some changes to the specification, then when I went to collect, Matt came in on his day off to do a bike fit for me and set up the bike as needed. For me how effectively a company puts things right is a key indicator of how good they are. I ordered a couple of items - one of which wasn’t quite as I had ordered it. (A genuine mistake) I sent an email when I got home from work and they responded instantly - putting it right. Really great customer service. Would definitely recommend.

Bought two Pinarellos after riding two Orbeas for 15 years. Service from Matt and his team was great including complementary bike fit which was invaluable . Managed to do 75 mile Bakewell sportive without any joint problems so well worth the investment.

Bought an Orro Terra C 105 Di2 from Matt at the beginning of August through the company’s Cycle 2 Work scheme after being referred by a friend. From the first comms by email, Matt could not have been anymore helpful. When I collected the bike Matt couldn’t do the fitting but organised a later date for me to come back. Having ridden the bike a few times, Matt listened to my feedback, did the fitting and adjusted the bike in line with the assessment and my comments. What a difference those few small adjustments have made.
Matt’s professional & friendly approach and the way his team welcome you into a pristine well appointed shop is nothing short of brilliant! I’ve already passed on the recommendation my friend made to me to others who enjoy bikes & cycling as it’s obvious that that’s what Matt & the Bicycle Lounge love to!
