Aleem organised the trip of a lifetime for us and our three young kids (10, 7 and 4). Aside from adding a couple of extra days at the beach, we left Aleem’s itinerary untouched and he certainly got it spot on. Each place was unique, from the lodge near Wilpattu to a tree house in Habarana to glamping on the beach and the tea plantations, and catered brilliantly to us and the kids, feeling like we all had the perfect holiday. Our guide Chanaka added in some wonderful extras and it felt like we had a third parent with us which was a true treat! We’ve already reached out to Aleem for a future holiday so we certainly recommend Earth Trip!

We were originally supposed to go on our honeymoon in Easter 2020 to Sri Lanka and the Maldives but this got postponed twice but we finally made it this year! The earth trip were very good at organising a trip which suited what we wanted. They made some changes when requested to go on more safari trips and the final trip was definitely worth the wait. Aleem was very good at keeping us up to date with everything after changes had to be made with new flights etc but the trip was amazing and everything we hoped for. Our tour guide Sampath was very knowledgeable on all the wildlife that we saw and we really enjoyed the whale watching trip to see them in their natural environment. The hotel's were all really well chosen and unique which made it special. The Maldives were a perfect few days to end the most amazing of holidays and it was very clear throughout the knowledge Aleem had of Sri Lanka and the Maldives when organising the trip. Would definitely use the company again! Thanks

We wanted to spend a very active month travelling round Sri Lanka, watching wildlife (particularly birds), finding out about the history and experiencing the culture. Aleem and team put together a fantastic itinerary with special focus on birdwatching. We needed a load of changes due to various family events, and Aleem handled them all efficiently and cheerfully.

Our entire trip was a completely fantastic experience. From the moment our driver Sampath picked us up at the airport to when he dropped us off a month later, every day was filled with adventures. The hotels were delightful, usually small and family-run, and we had lots of chances to try Sri Lankan food (including a cookery lesson) - it was delicious. We visited some really interesting temples, shrines and archaeological sites, many of which were off the typical tourist track. We toured the birding hotspots, including Mannar Island, Wilpattu and Sinharaja, with personal tours by expert guides. We saw forts, lighthouses, whales, leopards, elephants, rare birds and stunning scenery. At the time we were there, petrol and diesel was in short supply, but Sampath kept us rolling, making sure we were always safe and aware of everything that was happening, changing arrangements where necessary to reflect the conditions, and sorting out numerous one-off experiences as opportunities presented themselves. Aleem from Earth Trip was in regular contact as well.

By the end of the trip, we felt more like a team of three friends exploring Sri Lanka than a pair of tourists and a guide. We had the best time, and Sampath was the best partner on the adventure we could possibly have hoped for!

We had a simply fantastic trip to sri lanka in February. It was arranged very quickly and literally every request from birdwatching, quiet elephant trip , hiking, camping, cooking , with the emphasise on being away from the crowds was fulfilled. Interspersed with utter luxury in small hotels in the tea plantations and on glorious sandy beaches . Guided by our driver Sampath who was amazing . Nothing was too much trouble and he just seemed to know what we wanted .

We wanted the holiday of a lifetime for us and our teenage children, and that is exactly what Aleem and his team delivered. Pre covid we requested itineraries from 3 companies, and The Earth Trips came out on top, we then contacted them and requested lots of small changes and on every occasion Aleem wrote back within a day or 2 with the new plan and suggestions on how it could be improved. Our holiday was moved several times due to covid and then finally in the weeks leading up to it Sri Lanka was moved to the orange list as the country was gripped by economic crisis, and widespread fuel shortages - which obviously worried us. We had almost daily emails from Aleem with updates and assurances that there was enough fuel for our trip and that our trip would not be impacted - the personal touch - which I have never had before with any other company.
We were met at the airport by the in-country team and our driver Ushanka. From that moment on Ushanka was with us for the trip. He personally knew staff at almost all of the places we stayed and the guides and safari drivers the company used. We felt like we were being shown around by a close family friend - which in fact is what Ushanka has become to us.
There were a couple of very small changes due to strikes in the country and these were all absorbed by the team who adapted our plan so seamlessly that we didn't notice them.

Madagasca is a truly amazing destination. The people are really friendly and I felt safe at all times

I was worried about the flight and Aleem suggested business class. As a youngster I would never have considered it but I thought first time for everything
How glad I did the holiday started at the airport just like the old days!
I was met promptly by my guides in Madagasca for whom nothing was too much trouble . Everything was carefully explained and I was reassured by their attention to detail and their determination to ensure I had the best time possible
And I did on the whole have a brilliant time and saw lemurs chameleons grand canyons hump back whales the list is endless The diversity of the holiday meant I was at one time walking round a photographic museum which was a really good day out as it showed Madagasca in the 20s and 30s when the early aviators arrived and the hunt for gold began in earnest it was really fascinating
So my plans had to change as I became a bit poorly and wanted a rest from the travelling. The team looking after me were able to change the itinerary and came up with a really good plan which enabled me to continue to enjoy my short time left in the country
A trip like this is no small feat of planning and for everything to go so well is really a testament to the professionalism, attention to detail and a desire by the company that you receive the best trip possible
I would definitely travel with Earth trip again and I’m hoping they can put a plan together for me in Bali next year

We used Earth Trip for our honeymoon around Sri Lanka, both my husband and I couldn’t recommend it more! It was during the economic crisis, we were nervous given the advice against travel there at the time, that we wouldn’t be able to travel around the country. Our guide Sampath was extremely helpful and very friendly, he quickly reassured us that the trip could go ahead without any issues. We were able to visit the most amazing locations and had the most wonderful time!

Aleem was amazing! During our research of our honeymoon, Aleem was very efficient and informative with his emails. We were able to adjust the itinerary according to our needs. The whole trip - both Sri Lanka and Maldives was amazing. We had a fantastic driver (Rangana) who really made our holiday that extra special. Our resort in the Maldives (Dhigali) was incredible - the best holiday we have ever had! The food, accommodation and the resort were all incredible. Thank you to the EarthTrip.

We had a great holiday in Sri Lanka organised by Earth Trip. Our guide in Sri Lanka was Danesh, who was very knowledgeable and made our trip a great experience. Nothing was too much trouble for Danesh and he went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and had a good time whilst we were in Sri Lanka. I would definitely recommend using Earth Trip and Danesh for anyone looking to have a relaxing and pleasurable holiday in Sri Lanka.

Aleem at Earth Trip is all about quality and the hotels, trips and safaris he suggested were excellent. Our driver Ushanka was also brilliant, kind and knowledgable. Sri Lanka is so beautiful as are the people. They really need the tourists back and a holiday with Earth Trip makes it so easy to travel, as your driver takes you from place to place. We’ll definitely be booking with this excellent company again.

What can we say. There’s many words that describe The Earth Trip. Exceptional is just one of them. They tailored our trip to our needs whilst recognising exactly what we were looking for. Aleem hand picked the locations and hotels. Each one superb. From the moment our Guide Danesh picked us up at the airport and gave us a great insight to Sri Lanka as well as faultless timekeeping, great driving and brilliant sense of humour, also recognising what we were looking for on a trip. Honesty we can’t speak highly enough about The Earth Trip and team. I would just like to say a big thank you to Aleem for putting together a superb itinerary for our recent trip to Sri Lanka.
We have been before and previously saw all the cultural sights on offer so this time we wanted to experience the diverse wildlife in Sri Lanka..
We had a fabulous time visiting the Bundala National Park for bird watching, Yala for the leopards and Ahangama for whale watching,
Our guide for the trip was Danesh who did an amazing job of looking after us for the whole trip. Not only was he very clued up about all aspects of the places we visited but he proved to be fun and entertaining at the same time.
I would definitely recommend The Earth Trip if you are thinking of visiting this fabulous island and we will use them again when we return next time.

I honestly can’t recommend this company enough. Aleem is so knowledgeable about his destinations and goes above and beyond to understand what you want from your holiday and make it as best an experience as he can. He had to change our plans three times because of COVID and did so without any questions. Our holiday was to Madagascar which opened up at the last minute after two years of waiting. Aleem managed to change our alternative holiday to Mauritius back to Madagascar within two weeks and we went in November 2021. We had an amazing holiday as we were the first tourists for two years and with Aleem’s help everything went smoothly. He was on WhatsApp all of the way so if we needed to contact him he was there and very responsive especially with the changing COVID rules as Omicron came out. As I said I can’t recommend the company enough and I have travelled extensively. I will definitely travel with them again and would happily recommend them to my friends and family.

Wow! What an incredible trip. Aleem helped me to put together a memorable trip in celebration of my wife's 60th birthday. This incorporated 11 days in Sri Lanka and 3 days in The Maldives. Aleem kindly processed our visas and booked the flights arranging special seating requirements as well. We were met at the airport in Colombo by 2 local representatives of the Earth Trip (Resveber Travel) and our driver/guide Chanaka then took over for the remainder of the trip. Chanaka was exceptionally helpful and nothing was too much for him. He was particularly well connected and able to make slight changes to the itinerary as required. We felt well taken care of throughout and safe in the back of his comfortable car. Aleem excelled in finding stunning hotels for us (and arranged an upgrade or two where possible). 98 Acres resorts in Ella was a highlight as was Madulkelle Lodge with its safari-style canvas lodges and mountain views. Chanaka was in constant touch with HQ and the team expertly and expeditiously arranged small tweaks as required to ensure the smooth running of our trip. Once our 11 days in Sri Lanka sadly came to an end Aleem arranged a seaplane transfer from Male to our island resort Cinnamon Velifushi which was nothing short of incredible! The aquamarine views from our Sea Villa Suite were just awesome and unforgettable.
I have nothing but praise for Responsible Travel, The Earth Trip and Resveber Travel and wish them every continued success. We would not hesitate to use them again and have highly recommended them to all of our friends.

My husband and I used Earth Trip for our trip to Sri Lanka and we are so glad that we did. We booked it last minute and Aleem was really helpful and quick to help us with our itinerary. They worked with us to tailor our itinerary to what we wanted to experience but it also helps that they know the country very well and can recommend experiences that you may not necessary know about. And their team there, including Sewwandi, were helpful and responsive. Our guide Ushanka also made our trip to Sri Lanka extra special. We adore Ushanka and have found a great friend in him. He looked after us well and was flexible yet kept us on track of our itinerary. We had such a great time with him!

My husband and I travel a lot and absolutely loved Sri Lanka. It is a special country–the history, culture, food, people, landscape, wildlife, beaches, and more. It was truly one of our most memorable trips. I highly recommend a visit to this wonderful country if you haven't been and to use Earth Trip as your guide.

We have just returned from our 2 week tour of Sri Lanka organised by The Earth Trip. We were happy with everything from start to finish. We contacted Aleem at the Earth Trip less than a week before our planned departure date yet he managed to put together an itinerary to suit our preferences, amend it when we asked him to and get everything booked in such a short space of time. Both before and during the trip he was fast and helpful in responding to emails and he also helped us to arrange official paperwork for the drone we wanted to bring, which we really appreciated.
We visited Sigiriya, Kandy, Lipton Tea plantation, Ella and rode on the train, Yala, Galle, a cooking experience and 2 days of beach relaxation at the end. The tour was a perfect combination of culture, wildlife, food and scenery - just what we wanted, we liked all the hotels he chose for us and some of them were really stunning, and the company even got us upgraded to a gorgeous suite room for the last 2 nights.
Our guide and driver Ushanka was the best we could have ever hoped for, he looked after us really well, made sure everything went smoothly and to plan, was flexible to our needs where necessary. He is kind, very knowledgeable- answering all our questions about the country, history and culture, he is professional, trustworthy and always enthusiastic and happy - it was a real pleasure to spend 2 weeks with him.
We are extremely happy with all aspects of this company and highly recommend them to anyone considering a trip to Sri Lanka.

We have just returned from nearly three weeks in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, the trip being organised by Earth Trip. Their service was exceptional, indeed faultless. They helped us to get out of difficulty caused by Turkish Airlines (we will never fly Turkish again) when we had made that booking, not Earth Trip. They advised us when the UK Covid rules changed and set up the necessary PCR tests for us in both countries. Their choice of route and hotels was excellent. However the biggest two benefits to us were the ongoing care that Aleem gave us while we were away, and the fantastic support we received from Danesh in Sri Lanka. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He was knowledgeable, had good ideas on where to go and what to see, his English was great and, perhaps most important, his driving was safe but not excessively conservative. We were both sorry to part company with him at the airport.
We have many such holidays such as this but have never received help and attention as good as that provided by Danesh and Earth Trip.

After careful research and feedback from past customers, we booked our trip to Madagascar, through Aleem & Earth Trip, in December 2019 for the following September.
All travel has of course been disrupted, but over the last 18 months, Aleem has always been responsive to our queries on the situation.
We have now decided that we had to cancel our booking and Aleem has been very understanding in returning our deposit even though a considerable amount of time and effort had been spent.
Even though Earth Trip is a small company in a very difficult situation, Aleem has been contactable and honourable throughout.

Like other customers we unfortunately had no choice but to cancel our planned trip to Madagascar due to Covid. We communicated with Aleem via email with him providing speedy answers and helping us, where he could. We had to make the decision to request the return of the sizeable deposit. This was processed and deposited in our account. When we are in a position to be able to travel again, I won't hesitate to use Aleem and Earth Trip. I would highly recommend them.
