Our recent trip to Northern Madagascar was fantastic as a result of the imaginative and varied itinerary The Earth Trip put together for us, working in conjunction with a small local travel agency based in Madagascar.
We saw some amazing sights including seeing an Indri lemur with her young baby at very close quarters; experiencing the sights and sounds of the rain forests; sharing our picnic with some common brown lemurs; meeting the delightful Malagasy people and experiencing a local village market; seeing the incredible Red Tsingy and visiting a bat cave. In addition, the beaches are stunning, the snorkelling amazing and the sea was wonderfully warm!
The selection of places to stay was great, with a very high standard of accommodation and service throughout. It was good to see that wherever we stayed, local people were employed.
We were provided with excellent guides (Noah and Virginia) who were friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about the wildlife, culture and history of their respective areas.
Overall, the organisation of our trip was excellent. In the pre-planning stage, Aleem took into account our ages (70 and 76) and fitness levels when preparing the itinerary giving us some rest time in between our adventures. During the trip, we were met at every stage by a member of the travel company or their associates, whether it was off a plane, a boat or collecting us from our accommodation at the start of each day. This ensured that we could be completely relaxed in the knowledge that we were being so well looked after. All in all, a very memorable experience.

Quite the most wonderful holiday we have had. Four of us including 2 teenage boys experienced safari, beach, climbing adventures, deep sea fishing, and the Sri Lanka Culture (which is awesome) Never touched a large chain hotel but we also didn’t miss out of Luxury either with some awesome boutique locations. This agent is close to the community and nailed it. Response to the few challenges we had were impeccably managed and our guide Sampath is a rock star

My friend and I are from the US. We wanted to go to Sri Lanka and decided to go through a reputable UK travel company so we could spend a couple of days in London to lessen the long flight. Sri Lanka is a direct 10 hour flight from London. We decided to go with The Earth Trip, owned by Aleem who is from Sri Lanka. We were not disappointed and went on a trip of a lifetime. What made the trip exceptional?
We met via Zoom with Aleem to discuss our desires for our trip. Aleem was flexible and insightful.
The cost for 18 days in Sri Lanka was affordable.
Each lodging was unique and beautiful to the geography: mountains, plains, jungle, seaside.
Our guide and driver Ushanka was warm, knowledgeable, and always our advocate going above and beyond to meet our needs. He gave us the opportunity to experience Sri Lanka in a very personal way.
The country is gorgeous. We saw a hundred elephants, birds of all kinds, and a leopard casually strolling. Waterfalls, temples, tea plantations, mountains, and small villages were a part of our everyday life.
The food was incredibly fresh and delicious. Ushanka would break up our drive with stops for fresh samosas or buffalo curd with treacle.
But the most incredible experience in Sri Lanka was the people. I have traveled worldwide and have never experienced the kindness and care of the Sri Lankans. They are a joyful people.

I know The Earth Trip provides travel to many destinations around the world but I think their trip to Sri Lanka is something very special.

We travelled to Mexico for a magical trip, thanks largely to Earth Trip’s excellent support throughout. Great places and any small issues were dealt with immediately by Jeremy or Aleem.

We’ll book with them again, for sure!

I booked a 2 week trip to Sri Lanka with Earth Trip. Family, with 2 children (12+10). I wanted for the kids to see some nature and experience a different country/culture. Earth Trip set-up the schedule/hotels for us and everything else, I gave little input ahead. Everything worked perfectly. We got picked up at the airport by very nice guides who drove us around the whole time and showed us everything. All the hotels (5 for the trip) were great, exciting and each different.The schedule gave us the chance to see a lot, while not too exhausting for the children. Looking to book more trips with Earth Trip, can fully recommend them.

We booked a family trip to Sri Lanka, our children range from 2 years old to 18 years old. We discussed options with Aleem and he put a package together to suit all our needs. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with our personal driver, Ushanka, for the trip and a representative from the agency-Resferber holidays.
We experienced so many things, temple visits, safari's, ancient forts, tea plantations, the list goes on.
Our accommodation was superb at every stop, beautiful boutique hotels, glamping, beech resorts, mountain stays and all 4 star rated.
Ushanka was extremely knowledegable, friendly, and considerate. Nothing was too much trouble, he would help with money exchange, a trip to the pharmacy and even took us to some additional vists-for instance-the elephant sanctury to see the orphans coming in to feed. He was prompt and clearly knew the area very well, we arrived at each destination without any delay, he was patient if we were running late with our toddler-who he really gelled with over our time together. We were extremely well supported during our stay, the people were so attentive, the places were breathtaking and the food was exquisite. Our experience in Sri Lanka was full of memories that will stay with us for a very long time, I can write so much more about our trip but my advice woud be to come and see for yourselves. I would recommend Earth Trip to anyone considering ethical and responsible travel. A huge thank you to Aleem, Ushanka and the wider team for looking after us, we couldn't have asked for more!

A wonderful, brilliantly organised trip to Sri Lanka. Aleem spent a lot of time early on getting to know what things we were interested in to ensure that we had an amazing trip which was perfectly tailored to our interests and needs. As a result we had a great balance of sightseeing and relaxation and a large focus on wildlife with a number of excellent safaris. We saw a huge amount of the island without too much driving.

Our driver Ushanka was excellent - always punctual in an immaculately clean car. He always went the extra mile to make sure we had the best time and even arranged a surprise birthday cake for Paul’s birthday and came to play cricket with our son on the beach.

The hotels were all of very high standard. They were all small and initimite and gave a true flavour of Sri Lanka.

A real highlight for us was the stay in the beautiful tea plantation at Ella where the scenery was stunning as well as the train ride from Haputale to Dambulla. We also saw so much wildlife and birdlife with a number of very knowledgable naturalists in Gal Oya and the cultural triangle.

We have so many amazing memories from this trip - a holiday of a lifetime.

We met Aleem at the Manchester Destinations Show in January and were immediately impressed with his knowledge of and insight into trips to Sri Lanka. We wanted more than the Cultural Triangle and beach experience that so many tour operators seem to offer. He came up with a trip that was 22 days door to door and after some tweaking of his suggested itinerary, we went ahead and had one of our best trips ever. We travelled in mid March and arrived home on April 8th. As he knows Sri Lanka so well, we were able to follow his recommendations for our private tour and experienced Wilpattu National Park, where we saw two leopards close-up. We moved on to Jaffna in the far north, an area laid waste by the Civil War but which is now very safe and very welcoming. We experienced the Cultural Triangle and then moved to the east coast for a couple of days. Kandy was very impressive, as was Ella. We spent two nights at Galle and had three nights on the south coast before a final night in Colombo.
Throughout our trip, we were very fortunate to have Danesh as our driver / guide. He was extremely helpful and looked out for us at all times. He was a careful driver and went out of his way to suggest additional places that we could look at on our journeys between hotels. We felt that we had made a good friend by the end of the trip.
The accommodation chosen by Aleem was superb. He went for boutique style places which were invariably extremely comfortable and welcoming. Our last night at the Galle Face Hotel in Colombo was the only large hotel that we stayed in and it was quite an experience to end our holiday there.
The trip was obviously not cheap but it was remarkable value when compared to other similar itininaries from other, larger companies.
We would have no hesitation in using Earth Trip in the future. The whole experience was second to none.

What a fabulous trip to Sri Lanka. We discussed our ideas with three companies before choosing Earth Trip after talking to Aleem. So glad we did. Aleem's recommendations for visits, places and hotels were so knowledgeable and thoughtful - we really felt he listened to us and what we hoped to experience. Particularly loved his suggestion of our beach break which was fabulous! Sampath was an excellent driver guide - friendly, considerate and keen to please. He certainly knew his birds! Sil from Resfeber who greeted us at the airport really made us feel welcome and that feeling continued everywhere we went. The specialist guides were really interesting and so passionate about their country. We adored Sri Lanka - the places and particularly the people. Just come back from a fantastic 2 week trip to Sri Lanka. We booked through Aleem, following visiting his stand at the London destinations show. Aleem prepared an itinerary based on our specific interests and booking was simple and well organised. We were kept up to date and informed all the way through. Our driver in Sri lanka, Ushanka, was the most helpful and friendly guy you could want to be travelling with. We experienced 3 safaris, hikes, beach, heritage, train ride and local culture and culinary delights. Nothing was too much trouble and we would most definitely recommend this company, and be happy to use them again in the future. Ushanka had a passion and great knowledge for the wildlife (of which we saw loads - including the illusive leopards!). An abundance of colourful birds were constantly being pointed out to us along the route. We travelled extensively within our 2 weeks staying in 8 different hotels. All were very different and very good. The Sri Lankan hospitality and food were amazing. The weather was also in our favour being hot/warm throughout. Our holiday in Chile through The Earth Trip was a great success. Nothing went wrong and the guides’ knowledge and style was excellent in all cases. We were always picked up on time and this made for a relaxed and enjoyable time. We liked the hotels selected and the decision to go Patagonia rather than the Lake District, as a result of your advice, was the right one. Amazing Experience - Exceptional Professionalism and Attention

We found Earth Trip via Responsible Travel, a superb company serving many regions. Aleem was extremely attentive to our requirements and created a tour that was varied, focused on our dream itinerary and within our budget. Our Sri Lanka hosts, Resfeber were with us for our entire 14 day tour with an exceptional tour guide in Ushanka who revealed the many sides of Sri Lanka to us. The food and hotels (with one exception, Gorton's Cape - avoid) were exceptional and it was lovely to experience the warmth of Sri Lankan hospitality. Highly Recommend.

Sri Lanka is a beautiful country to visit with teens. Every day was an adventure, with so many different animals to see on safari. All the people were so friendly, open and warm, and so happy to see tourists back in their country.
I'd highly recommend a trip to Sri Lanka and also the earth trip to organise it. We stayed in beautiful hotels and eco lodges and managed to see everything we wanted to in a jam-packed two weeks. If you can stay even longer, you won't regret it

We finally made it to Costa Rica in August 2022, our earlier planned trip having been cancelled due to Covid. Jeremy from The Earth Trip (previously Revealed Travel) had been so professional in 2020, refunding all our deposit with no quibbles, that we decided to use his company again.
Jeremy took note of our budget and our wishes and together with some recommendations of his own, put together a fantastic itinerary ensuring we packed as much in as possible but still having a few days to relax at the end. The trip was planned to perfection, from the initial airport transfer to the journey home, which was ideal when travelling with children. The Earth Trip team suggest smaller less known hotels so you get much more for your money and avoid the package holiday vibe. On our arrival we were provided with an exact list of timings and what to expect. We covered a good part of the country and visited chocolate and coffee plantations, waterfalls, nature reserves and also did activities such as zip lining, white water rafting and hot springs. We had private transfers throughout and the guides took each journey at our pace, pointing out wildlife and points of interest along the way.
It really was a trip of a lifetime and the overall cost much less than we had expected or if we had booked with a generic travel agent.
I have already recommended The Earth Trip to a friend who has a liaised with Aleem and has a bespoke trip to Sri Lanka this Christmas.
I would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants that personal touch and we will definitely be using The Earth Trip in the future.

We planned this Sri Lanka trip over 2 years ago but due to Covid etc we had to reschedule a number of times, Aleem was great and no issues with the constant changes.
We almost rescheduled again after hearing the negative press on shortages etc, Aleem persuaded us it was fine and were we glad we took his advise.

We've done a lot of exploring and safari's around the world and trust, me this was amongst the top of our list - the variety and numbers of wildlife, birds etc was amazing, scenery absolutely beautiful, add in the food, culture and people and it was a most memorable trip.
Take a decent zoom camera if your going as a phone camera won't capture the elusive leopards (I used a 3000mm Nikon bridge most of the time).
Now to plan our next trip with Aleem's help to Mexico for next year

Aleem did a phenomenal job in perfectly crafting a Honeymoon itinerary for my wife and I to Madagascar, Mauritius, and Seychelles! I provided him a list of sites to see and things to do, and he came back to us with an awesome itinerary!

Aleem arranged a holiday of a lifetime for us and 3 children aged 9,6 and 4. The itinerary was perfect with something for everyone… wildlife, elephants, beaches, history etc. hotels were out of this world and the Sri Lankan staff and people could not do enough to help us. Ushanka the driver and guide was amazing. Even when we wanted to make last minute changes Aleem and Ushanka made it happen. Beautiful country, wonderful food and amazing people. I cannot recommend Sri Lanka and earth trip enough. Go for it- you will not regret it!

We used Earth Trip to arrange a trip to the Seychelles. Aleem listened to our requests for the type of trip we wanted and arranged an amazing itinerary. We visited 4 islands throughout our stay and every transfer and activity was perfectly organised.All of the guides were professional and friendly. The hotels we stayed in were all different and all fantastic. Rooms, food, facilities and Customer Service all outstanding.
We have already recommended The Earth Trip to others and would not hesitate to use their services again.
