Im delighted with the grass mixture i received. I have damage to my lawn because of pets. My grass was patchy with no proper growth. Not any more! The best product out there - i should know i bought them all. Delivery was excellent came next day as expected.

"Next Day Delivery" apparently... However, having placed an order and receiving a tracking number, it would appear that the order has not been handed over to the courier - 'Delayed' reason being given in the app. I thought the website looked pretty trustworthy, and the products sounded good... but my experience so far is not great. This delay has set me back on the project I'm working on now. Moreover, reading the many other recent reviews here... even if the order arrives, I have little confidence in the quality of the product based on what I'm reading.
There's no phone number to call this company despite being a small business - which makes no sense at all. If my experience changes, I'll update the review, but for now - I wish I'd done further investigation before placing my order with The Grass People. Not a happy customer.
** UPDATE 10th May - Still no movement on my order - The Grass People sent an email telling me the order has shipped and provided a tracking reference. My order was placed on the 7th at 12:45pm - they claim orders are shipped on the same day when they are placed before 2pm. Clearly not the case and I'm now hugely inconvenienced by this failure.
The courier tells me they have not collected the item from the supplier.... it's not been shipped at all. I've sent a message requesting a full refund and for the order to be cancelled. **

Still waiting for the grass seed. There is no phone number on their website, no web chat facility, and I've sent several emails asking for some kind of proof of postage so I know it's on its way.

You can see from other reviews I would much rather leave something positive and celebrate good customer service. Would I buy from the grass people again. Yes I would but and it's an important but, I will always film me opening the product. There is nothing wrong with the product itself the bags of seeds I have ordered in the past have worked well since sowing last summer. But I think the customer service response should be more respectful of the customer and more considered in what should be a resolution.
That said the emails were replied to within a couple of days and that's a good thing.
Since the first response from them, I sent 3 emails over the course of the day as I remembered points to make, also made a video and posted the link showing the bag of dirt, and had a satisfactory reply this morning. (The main point is that while an apology is welcome, a 'goodwill gesture might have been a refund AND a bag of seed. After all, I have paid £24 for the 'goodwill bag' not too mention being unable to use it when I want to. That will be a full two week delay)
Response from today;
I can appreciate your disappointment and this is not something that we have experienced before, nor is it something that we would ever do intentionally. I would also like to apologise if you thought my initial response was in any way accusatory, this was never my intention. We value all our customers and welcome feedback and we are sorry that we did not meet the standard you expected. We always try our best are willing to learn. We do have verified review platform, and please feel free to visit our page.
Obviously we want you to have the perfect lawn and as a gesture of goodwill we will arrange to have a fresh bag of seed dispatched this afternoon and this will be with you at the beginning of next week. We do hope that you are now satisfied with this outcome, and if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

The moral of the story is I'll ALWAYS film myself opening a package now. That might have prevented the first insulting reply.
I'll await the arrival of the seeds and update and close this review.

I ordered pets and kids grass seed, July 2023 ( #TGP-1000089418). The winter came and the bag sat unopened along with another bag half full of grass seed. With the recent return of good weather I opened the new bag to find fine dirt interspersed with occasional grass seeds (photos were provided) I immediately thought they've wrongly sent some patching formula.
I thought this company, with it's modern branding would respond politely and fix the error quickly. The reply was
"Thank you for the photos.
I can see from the contents of one of the bag that isn't just seeds, and may have been mixed something, I'm not exactly sure.
All of our seed mixes are mixed in batches, and then separated into different bags. Had there been an issue with a particular batch, this would have affected thousands of orders, and thankfully this hasn't been the case.

The clear implication here is that I mixed it myself to fraudulently obtain further grass seed. This is outrageous communication from a company I really thought better of and had ordered from before.
I have written further to say this is unsatisfactory. They should be having the bag delivered back to do some testing.
I will update when I have a satisfactory resolution, either seed or full refund.

Highly recommend - Not only are the products of high quality, they do exactly what they say they will do. The website is easy to navigate, ordering is easy and delivery time is excellent. As if that’s not enough, I have sought advice by e-mail on more than one occasion and been treated to a service above and beyond my expectations.

Great customer service. All of my delivery didn’t come at the same time but Roisin was very helpful, friendly and quick with trying to resolve my issue.

Tried to register a gift card but couldn’t. Can’t ring customer services . Tried to sort it by email and they’ve gone home for the weekend before it was sorted.

didn't grow, spent around £50 , looked really reputable and after wasting money on cheap seed from B&M etc thought I'd give them a go . 3 weeks later not a blade of grass has grown, I've sown the seed, covered with a light topsoil, watered and waited. Absolutely nothing. I emailed the company but not heard anything back . Don't bother

Awful experience with this company, I would not recommend them at all. Completely disinterested, arrogant, rubbish customer service, the next day delivery by 2pm promised and plastered all over the banners on their website is false (even if you pay £8 for the express delivery service), no telephone number to call, just an email address and hope someone replies to you at some point, next day at best, and even after I had been severely inconvenienced by their incompetence they want me to pay for return costs for a delivery that was delivered late so I could not use it. I placed an order on Sunday for some fertiliser to be certain of Tuesday 'promised next working day if you order before 2pm' delivery and waited in. It did not arrive. I got no notification of dispatch either. Due to weather conditions and a planned trip we needed to spread fertiliser before we went away to take advantage of rain for it to dissolve as we have to seed next week when we return before weeds start to grow on our newly topsoiled lawn. Due to their delayed delivery - with no courtesy email to tell me it would be delayed - we were not able to fertilise in time and now have no need to use the fertiliser. When I said we need to return the order due to their failure to deliver next day as promise, and consequently we had no need for the product any more, they could not have cared less, with long delays between email responses and ultimately I was told I had to pay full costs for collection and return - despite the whole thing being as a result of their fault. After I went bonkers at their terrible service, their 'good will' gesture was to refund my £8 express postage costs once I had paid for the full return. The bags weigh an absolute ton so the costs of return will be heinous I am sure plus goodness knows how one goes about returning three huge boxes as joe blogs with no contracts with a courier, and so £8 is a pathetic gesture. They should as I asked arranged to collect the items for return as they did not deliver as advertised. Of course they point to their small print website T&Cs stating that they can't guarantee next day delivery - so why have it in headlines all over the top of your website advertising that is exactly what you do and induce customers into making a purchase on that basis? So I would not recommend this company and beware the false advertising on their website and the most appalling customer service offering I have come across on any online shop. Who refuses to provide any phone number whatsoever to contact the company you are buying off with any issues? Red flag. Avoid.

Spent around £50 for what was described as specialist seeds for shady areas.
Germinated and grew but did not last more than a short while and could not see any improvement on stand grass that is far cheaper.
Don't recall getting a feefo review request and they did not reply to my emails stating it did not work.

My year or two purchasing and asking them for professional help has been one of respect for them.
I’m not in anyway shape or form a gardener. I’m just an old individual who tried the lay a level, safe lawn for my grandchildren. With the help of this company and its staff has been able to do this. It grew so lovely my neighbour purchased the same seed from them. How did the staff help? Well, I contacted them by both phone and email and within days they contacted me back with professional help. That help has proven to be valuable as my lawn looks beautiful. I wish I could show people. Now I have to look after that lawn, so I will be in contact thegrasspeople again if I need them because I know they will be there for me. I can’t ask for more than that. Thank you to the company and it’s professional staff👏

Easy to order with speedy delivery.
Seed germinated after a week and is now, 6 weeks on, looking amazing. Very thick and green and so long I had to use the strimmer today.
I've seen other reviews where customers report poor or no germination but I have to think it's down to soil quality and weather conditions rather than the seeds.

2nd order from the grass people. We order the clay master soil grass seed. It works well for us and grows quickly. Fast delivery and good communications.

I can only give one star given that’s around the same percentage of grass that has grown since seeding.. Twice.
Underwhelmed. Given previous reviews I had high hopes - disappointed to say the least. I now have a bumpy patchy lawn that looks worse than when I first started.
I do not recommend.

ordered grass seed at 7.15 am 27/04/23, and paid extra for faster delivery (NEXT DAY). DHL sent notification that item would be delivered 28th....still waiting 02/05/23. Had people onsite to complete the job ( large area). What a waste of everyone's time and my money.
DHL are useless, and this company needs to sort out its courier service ASAP. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Great customer service, (special mention to Roisin) I have used this company before and always found them excellent. Their product and advice are second to none. The information on their website is very informative and helpful.
I have no hesitation in recommending them, I have already done so to family and friends who have also had great service and praised their products.
Grass simply didn't grow.
The customer service was great, but unfortunately despite various tries barely any seed actually grew. This meant that my newly topsoiled lawn became very bumpy as the grass grew in chunks that never knitted together. Heartbreaking after all the money spent.
