Utter robbers praying on the elderly
Day light robbery & attack on the disabled
I purchased something from easy life 6 months ago and since then they have been taking £18.50 every month. I don't use my card very much, they have taken £166 before I realised its the most expensive disabled shower seat ever. How do I get my money back

I write on behalf of my cousin who received unsolicited mail through the postal service. A day later an attempt at taking £81.99 (a years subs) had been made on her account. This was done even though she had had nothing to do with this company and was made aware of the attempt to gain funds fraudulently by her bank. This attempt was clearly linked to the catalogue that had been delivered to her home. So this company would also seem to have enough stolen info to attempt to take money from an account without the account holder agreeing. Avoid like the plague.

i endorse all previous complaNINTS DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY PERX EASYLIFE AND ALL ASSOCIATED THEY FRAUDULENTLY TOOK MONEY FROM MY bANK ACCOUNT 9THEY ONLY HAD THE DETAILS FROM eASYLIFE OR ASSOCIATED COS.
THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT HAVE ANYHING TO DO WITH THEM
They called my 89 year old mother after she ordered something from Easy Life to see if she would like to receive some leaflets. Nothing was mentioned about payment for said leaflets. This is a scam and if I could give zero stars if I would. Do not order anything from Easy Life and do not accept any leaflets from the rewards company. They are preying on the elderly.
Theft
Theft ! Just found out theyve taken £42 out of my bank account this month. How theyve done this i dont know, think it might be linked to Easy Life passing on bank details and address. I certainly woukd not sign up to a gardening club as i dont even have a garden . Why arent these people put in prison ? Theyve just mugged me. Im contacting the fraud department if my bank
Awful company
I got sent some information from them and phoned and emailed to cancel. They keep sending letters so I keep emailing. In the end I asked them to delete my information under the Data Protection Act. I emailed again today as I hadn't received a response to discover they have blocked me! Avoid at all costs. Laughable company.
Constantly taking money on Direct Debt…
Constantly taking money on Direct Debt despite cancelling many times. Customer service dreadful, with no one taking responsibility and passing the buck around their teams. Everything is a standard reply.
DO NOT USE THEM.
Avoid like the plague
I wish I could give them no stars. This company Is a scam. They got in touch with my sister through Easylife and although she said she was not interested they still charged £89.99. Nothing was sent through the post only a letter to cancel which she did. This month she noticed that they were taking £29.99 out of her account EACH WEEK. The bank have now put a block on the payments. The company should be closed down. I wish I knew how to do it.
Should be ZERO STARS
Should be ZERO STARS! Just had to call them as £29.99 had been taken from our account for their 'REWARDS CLUB', something we have NEVER joined.
We did, unfortunately, purchase an item from them ages ago, an item that we had to return due to unsuitability for its purpose, had arguments on the phone to them (EASYLIFE) regarding any more contact or orders, seems they do as they please, need shutting down...........
This company is an absolute disgrace…
This company is an absolute disgrace and virtually impossible to make contact with them. Please avoid at all costs. They should be closed down.
This company tried to take £18.50 from…
This company tried to take £18.50 from my 89 year old mother, fortunately Barclays realised this was a scam and blocked the payment. Mum remembers a phone call from them asking her to subscribe to a trial period for a magazine, she declined this offer three times and then put the phone down, they still tried to take her money. Shocking and I,m sure illegal.
Major Scam Artists
As per many of the reviews below, I too was caught out by The Rewards Club after I had, some time ago, made a purchase from EasyLife. Clearly, they did not delete my information after the initial purchase, and despite me telling an agent 'cold calling' telling me I'd won a subscription and could have all these great things, that I was not interested and to delete all my details, she still signed me up for membership unknown to me. Luckily, the cash transfer for £69.99 was rejected by my Bank and the Fraud team alerted me. My card was cancelled forthwith. A few days later I received a letter from the Motor Club on 30th May informing me of my free trial and all the benefits I was entitled to, with the right to cancel by 24 May 2024! It also contained their Data Protection Policy - which they were in breach of, as they had failed to delete my details after the initial transaction and it is against the Data Protection Act to hold such data thereafter. So; the warning is - if you do purchase anything from EasyLife you need to also cancel your credit card straight after!
Scam…
I have been scammed by this company £18.50 last month and £18.50 pending this month which will be stopped when the banks open tomorrow. Easylife and the rewards club are registered at the same address and have the same conman director. I am wondering if anyone has contacted the police or the action fraud team about these companies? I know i will be doing. They signed me up to a subscription without my permission. I have received phone calls from them before and always instructed not to subscribe me but obviously they have. Back in 2021 I hesitantly bought some slippers from easylife for my mum from there magazine all along thinking that this magazine could be a scam, should have gone with my better judgment. This means easylife have illegally kept hold of my card details and past them on to there partner company the rewards club along with my name and address. Do not buy anything from easylife
Update… after contacting the bank to stop any further payments to the rewards club and then contacting action fraud team (police) only yesterday, i have today received 2 sets of refunds which I believe one is from the rewards club as the refund has been credited from the rewards club and the other from the bank which has been informed of the double refund. The action fraud team have said they will investigate this company and easylife and i have been given a crime reference number. I would urge anyone who has been scammed by easylife and the rewards club to contact action fraud team and get as many investigations open against these companies as possible and hopefully bring Greg CAPLAN the director of these companies to answer for his scamming ways and shut him down and with any look have criminal charges brought against him. The more investigations open in regards to easylife and the rewards club the better chance of shutting the companies down and Greg CAPLAN facing charges. Also i would recommend people who leave a review on here to make sure that the rewards club can see your review and are notified
Easy life/linked Rewards Club
I bought from Easy Life magazine about a year and half ago. I also bought from their little inserted magazines, promoting other people's products. I am a pensioner and I liked their products and the prices were good. However, I engaged with the Rewards Club, to my financial detriment. Money was taken from my account, unnoticed at first. I managed to get a refund. Since then, no new purchase. I even changed my debit card to avoid further issues. Again, I got phone call and engaged with the rewards club. Seeing I had changed my card, what can go wrong. Everything. £81 plus was taken out of my account. I called the bank. They said because I had originally given my first card details, they can get the new card?? How can this be? I contacted the Rewards club. They say it is not them even though the reference on my bank statement links them. Fraud is being committed, and it's ongoing. They must be stopped. How can I ever trust to buy from Easy Life again? My fight for a refund is ongoing.
This is a very dangerous loophole in…
This is a very dangerous loophole in order to rip you off indefinitely! Beware! It is linked to easylife! They call you, already have your full name, address and postcode and can get your bank account details somehow LEGALLY from your card company. If you engage in a telephone conversation with them, they will set up a membership (rewardsclub, gardening club etc) for you and take money from your bank account directly! It is beyond belief and extremely worrying that such a thing is at all possible and that it is LEGAL ! None of us, old or young, are safe from these dodgy, amoral but legal schemes! Be aware!
Scammers
My mother had £39 taken out of her account by Rewards Club and she received a letter from Premier Travel Club stating she had "decided to try out" their Club. I contacted them but they wouldn't speak to me because of Data Protection! I then went to her bank to query the withdrawal and it was they who told me the company is linked to Easylife as they had other customers who'd been scammed! When I did get to speak to someone at Premier they stated her 'membership' had been cancelled but they wouldn't send any confirmation!!! I will now have to go through the hassle of trying to recoup the £39 and cancel her bank card.
Unsolicited sales call from The Rewards Club
Received a phone call unsolicited from this company on 30.4.2024 who seems to have got my name from Easylife and then was sent a letter from THE REWARDS CLUB stating I had been set up with a free trial for 28 days.I cancelled by post 15.5.2024 and I have been advised by phone that the cancellation has gone through. It is a shame that EASYLIFE have associated themselves with this company. The phone number I was contacted by is a Cardiff number and revieews of number state it is untrustworthy and likely to be a scam number
Scams the elderly
This company uses information and bank details obtained from another company called Easylife to sign you up to an unwanted magazine subscription. This is aimed at the elderly who wouldn't necessarily notice money leaving their bank account. The first issue is apparently free with a 14 day cooling off period which you can cancel within, but in our case this ran out 2 weeks before we even received it. They are scamming the elderly. I will be contacting both Easylife and Trading Standards about lack of data protection.
Do not deal with this company or EasyLife
Do not deal with this company and don't buy from EasyLife. They don't take no for an answer and then charge your credit card for a subscription you didn't sign up to.
If you find you are somehow on a subscription, like I did, speak to your bank dispute department and phone the EasyLife support line on: 0333 045 9716. Also email them on : promotions'at'cs-support.co.uk so you have proof you asked for a refund and cancellation of your subscription.
