Next level customer service
I do not often write reviews but feel compelled to on this occasion. I have had a new kitchen fitted and part of this was electric underfloor heating. I had the ThermoSphere controllers fitted in July and yesterday I tried to get them up and running. Unfortunately I had problems (probably user error). I called the company up and spoke to Alaska. She was really helpful from the outset and we quickly established that my installer had inadvertently bought the now retired model of thermostats. Without asking Alaska immediately offered two of the latest models free of charge on next day delivery...she also offered to have them remotely set up for me. Honestly I cannot recall a better and more professional level of service from any company in the UK. My sincere thanks to the ThermoSphere team for dealing with this in literally minutes and for your kind help...if you are thinking of controllers for heating etc, I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Make sure you know what you're getting…
Make sure you know what you're getting in terms of the floor heating interface. If you're happy to hand over your home's internet router details AND password with all the security issues that has....then fine. Also if you're happy that the interface never goes into standby mode so that you have a constant annoying 'blue' light in your bedroom then fine...... I certainly regrets my decision. And yes I have spoken to their support team and no there isn't a solution to the constant light.

Hi Sav, thank you for taking the time to share this feedback, and I'm sorry to hear the experience hasn't matched what you expected.
On the wifi point, that's a completely fair thing to want reassurance on. To connect any smart thermostat to an app so you can control it remotely, the device does need your wifi credentials, in the same way any smart bulb, plug, doorbell or even laptop would. Your password is used only to join your local network and isn't visible to us or stored insecurely, but we know it's natural to feel uneasy handing that over, and we'd rather you feel informed than just take our word for it. If you'd like, we're happy to point you to more detail on exactly how the connection and data handling works.
On the display staying lit, I'm sorry the light is disrupting your bedroom. Depending on the model, there is a way to dim the backlight so it goes dark in standby, unless it is one of our legacy models. It sounds like this wasn't resolved when you spoke with our team, which isn't the outcome we want. Could you pop us a message with your thermostat model? I'd like to personally make sure this gets sorted, or at least confirmed properly, rather than leaving you with a fix that didn't work.

Good communications and a successful outcome.
The thermostats were fitted, new, by our electrician and all seemed fine. However, shortly after all three failed. I got in touch with Thermosphere and they were very helpful, suggesting ways to sort them out. Sadly, none of their ideas (or mine) worked, so, without fuss or delay, they replaced them. The new ones are working perfectly. Very good communications, pleasant staff, and a successful resolution. All very good.
