The website is rubbish
The website is rubbish. It’s impossible to log in as you have to say you’ve read Ts and Cs that go on for pages. It won’t scroll to the bottom of those pages, and it won’t let you say yes until you’ve scrolled to the bottom of the page. So you have to click on anonymous. And even then the website frequently doesn’t work. Makes charging your car at one of their chargers almost impossible. Bizarre

It seems the ability to ignore both the truth and hard facts are qualities that Total Energies and the US president have in common. This company is quite simply disgraceful and dishonest. When changing our Electricity meter we took readings and also the engineer doing the work recorded them too. Ten days later we received a bill based on readings that were substantially higher than those we had recorded. We flagged this, provided data/time stamped photographic evidence to support it but no, we were wrong. Their "extensive investigation" apparently verified that their reading was right and ours was wrong. No proof provided or explanation given. Unfortunately the meter that had "produced" these inflated readings no longer exists because it was taken away by the engineer.... Also the readings that they claim were correct implied an electricity consumption that was approximately six times higher than our usual readings. Go figure. But will they listen? No. Not interested. Despite the facts are there for all to see.
Terrible company that bills you when you're not their customer and don't even have a meter.
I keep getting invoices for my business from them. I don't even have a gas meter at my property but they keep sending me invoices with fabricated readings. I don't even know how they have an account in my name because i have never been a customer of theirs. they do not listen at all. Ofgem next.

Well done another UK company selling to France. Can’t speak English. Service now terrible. Migration issues all over. No help over the phone and card turned off without telling me. Helpful with a family in the car - utter useless well done London for letting this happen again.
Terrible customer service for EV…
Terrible customer service for EV charging. The Migration from Source London was a disaster. After a long and painful conversation with Total Energies they finally admitted there were issues and payments were impacted. Unsure if the emails and links are genuine or fraudulent and the only reassurance I was given over the phone was - yes I can tell you they are genuine.
Words cannot do justice to how bad this company is!!!!
For 3 months I have been trying to cancel an account with them and it is still on going. I honestly wasn't aware a businesses could be this bad. Please don't use them - its not just the cancelling that has been terrible - the whole service was the worst experience possible. They once sent me an estimated bill for £30k+ for a month of electricity...for a 500 sq ft workshop. Also, the account I have been trying to close for 3 months is in credit for circa £230 so they have held that money without cause for a quarter of a year - which I would assume isn't legal.

SourceLondon EV charging has been moved to Totalenergies.com. ... groan ...
Following an email with a link to update my payment systems, their computer systems were simply incapable of doing the updates to card details etc.
As there was no 'help number' given on the email killing off SourceLondon I used the generic helpline. Completely and utterly useless and I was even told the email from TotalEnergies was a scam and they need to see this evidence.
After 30 minutes of painful interaction I gave up. I decided to see what would happen if I tried to use the old SourceLondon EV app. Amazingly that went straight into 'update' mode and I was able to complete my payment info update.
However there is still 'no news' as to whether the old SourceLondon EV charge card will work and no help line to contact .... groan ....
This has been a truly AWFUL experience. Thankfully my EV has sufficient charge or I would have been stranded.

Was unfortunate enough to inherit this supplier from a previous occupier. Totally incompetent, behave like crooks: accuse you of owing money and -- when you produce evidence to the contrary -- repeatedly ignore it and continue to harass you.
Finally was able to prove in July 2024 that they in fact owed us money. Still awaiting that refund ...
Also, is it not very suspicious that most people are rating them 1 star (because 0 is not available), yet every 5 star review refers to a specific complaint handler by name?

We recently moved into an industrial unit where Total Energies were the previous tenants providers.
When we moved in we inherited them. As we never had a contract with them (we never signed up to them in the first place) they have been charging £2.251891 a day as the standing charge for the meter, this is tantamount to Rachmanism!!!
Thank god we've managed to get away from them and gone to EDF. They strung out the change of supplier for as long as was possible.
My next port of call is Ofgem to discuss this with them.
The moral of the story is to avoid these like the plague, they aren't to be trusted.

My mother recently passed away and I was confronted with an unsympathetic group of people, not one person I spoke to dealt with it in a personal manner, just pure business, didn't care a hoot of the situation and charged 1.99 standing charge per day until we managed to get a different supplier. When I mentioned this I was confronted with well this is just the out of contract rate, again no sympathy to the fact there was no longer a business at the premises and my poor father had to pay the 'going business rate' until supply was swapped. They then rejected the request for supply by British Gas even though they don't supply domestic! Absolute disgrace of a company.
I also worked for a company once where they took 13k from their account on a DD estimated bill. Normal use was around 2.5k per month. It took them 3 months to refund this money and only because they were hounded, they would have kept it if they could! Be warned stay well away from this company

People must steer clear of this company at all costs. I bought a property which had a commercial contract on it. The property is a private residence and not a commercial property. Somehow my name was transferred on to the commercial contract. I was then locked into a Emergency Tarif commercial contract.
In 2022 I was charged just shy of £2k for 6 months limited usage. The invoice amounts had no relation to consumption. I settled all bills with Total Energy. Octopus finally transferred me to their contract and a rate that was normal for a private residence to get me off the nightmare merry-go-round.
Today over 2 years later I have received 3 invoices from Total Energy asking for money. Apparently it is the final bill from 2 years ago. There is no sign of this in their crappy portal.
Not only was my name and my private residence transferred on to someone else's commercial contract. They held me to ransom for me to pay made-up invoices to be able to get off the commercial contract they transferred me to. I had to pay to be released.
2 years later they have started again.
Everything about this company is potentially illegal. Nothing gets resolved and imaginary sums keep coming through the door.
I was locked in to them for 9 months against my will and it cost me thousands of pounds.
Now they want to come back for more
Worst Utility Company
Having dealt with many different utility companies over the years through private and commercial contracts, I believe this company takes first price in being the worst. They have been trying to charge for gas on a property that does not have a gas supply or a meter for nearly 2 years. Having informed of the same several times, they are still sending me letters asking for a meter reading when there is no meter at the property or gas supply. Please do not use this company at all costs. They are incredibly incompetent.

After being with this so called company for many years they decided to not inform us of being on an about of contract tariffs which was absolutely way above anything we were expected to pay, then after no help or any guilt or understanding tell us because we don’t use enough energy that they would screw us over high charges, we finally change our supplier then they just empty your bank account with bills and charges you don’t even have, avoid this crap company like the plague, total rip off of power would be a better name

I agree with Matthew West, Kiffy, all the recent 1 stars. Don't use this Energy supplier.
Having tried to take on the account in May when we moved house, and been asked repeatedly for the same information over, and over again, despite them and the outgoing occupier having provided it repeatedly, we realised best option was to change supplier asap, so asked Octopus to take it on 10th July (who have been incredibly efficient)
However Total have failed to provide a final bill based on the accurate readings for the final day before Octopus took over, and are pursuing us for a fictional estimated bill of £600, which is 1236 units over the accurate final reads.
Despite repeatedly requesting a new, revised, accurate final bill, they keep sending the same request for the £600 estimated bill. Each time I copy my request to 6 different emails (shown here) at Total, in the hope someone competent might actually do something about it, but no.
My advice. Take pictures of your meter readings, same time, a week apart, and then find a new supplier as soon as you can.
What a laugh that Trust Pilot will send this to info*totalenergies.com!
If I get a response to this review from them, I'll add that email to the 6 others I've been copying ....
