Unacceptable Extension FEE

I've been gifted a £100 voucher. It only lasts 10 months and I need to extend the expiring date.
They do apply a £35 fee, which is 1/3 of the tot value.
This is just unbelievable. Don't buy voucher from this website, the person you will give this to will have to deal with all their crazy T&C.
Overall, Useless gift

Thank you for leaving us your review of your booking you made with TrackDays. We welcome all reviews from our customers, whether positive or not, as these help to improve our products and services.

Thank you as well for your swift response to our Information Request email we sent you, it is much appreciated. Having investigated your booking further, we can see that the voucher you purchased was bought on 26th February 2024.

The standard period to redeem and use a voucher for a driving experience purchased on our website is typically 10 months, or 14 months for an additional fee when the voucher is purchased at checkout, which in this instance was bought and gifted to you by another person.

Unfortunately, we do not hold customer information on the voucher until it is redeemed and used towards an experience, so we are unable to make contact to notify of when a voucher is close to its expiration date. Indeed, we do state in the Terms and Conditions on our website that you are advised to redeem the voucher as soon as they receive this, as once a voucher has expired, it is unable to be redeemed, transferred or used.

As regards to the extension fee, unless in exceptional circumstances, this will apply to all requests made for an extension of a voucher's validity period.

False advertising

The company doesn't provide clear direction around their gift cards and will not help out even at Christmas. Very very poor. I ordered a gift card as a present from Spadays.co.uk, what arrived was a trackdays.co.uk card. Sure, they're interoperable, but there's no clarity around what you're ordering and a racing car card is definitely NOT the same thing as a spa break card. Their customer service was combative and ultimately unable to provide any support, despite not having sent the product I'd expected. So an unclear website means I wasted my money and an unhelpful customer service team meant there was no recourse.

Useless, I would never recommend them. Who would have thought in the modern era that companies would resort to deceptive advertising and NOT own up to their failings?

I have looked in to this for you, and cannot agree that there was any false advertising. The postal pack that you received, is clearly displayed on the website, prior to opting to have postal delivery, the picture shows exactly what will be in the pack, as acknowledged by you in our conversation with you today. It is extremely clear that the pack is branded as trackdays.

As a gesture of goodwill, we will refund the postage, on this occasion. However I must firmly dispute that any of the advertising around the postal package was deceptive, it is quite clear from the photo, in the postage section, what will be dispatched.

I got through straight away to Becky who handled my enquiry with ease, there was a slight hiccup with my bank when it came to making payment but Becky sorted that out immediately for me by sending a link to enable the payment to be accepted. All in all it was a perfect experience for me.

Excellent customer service

I had a bit of difficulty purchasing a gift card online but I think that was down to an error on my part. Before trying to buy another one online I called customer service to check. Beccy was very helpful, confirmed it hadn’t gone through and happily took payment over the phone. She was very helpful and I would recommend this site.

Good old fashion customer service

I’d been looking at one of the helicopter rides for a few months on another site which was cheaper but they didn’t not have customer facing customer service or even a contact number. I felt safer speaking to a person rather than buy online from a little known company, hence my contact with Trackdays. From the moment my call was answered by Alison I was put at ease. Alison was happy explained the process and answered all of my questions/queries. As this was a Xmas present I explained there may be some further queries from the recipient of the present. Alison was kind enough to offer to be the point of contact for him once he’d received the present. The service received today reminds me of the good old days of decent customer service and agents taking ownership within their jobs. Thank you Alison and well done.

ADDITION TO MY PREVIOUS REVIEW: Although Alison had advised me the item would be posted by first class I was totally shocked when the item landed on my mat before 11am. For ordering to receipt was less than 24 hours!! Excellent service. Thank you Trackdays.
