What are Treasure Trails?
Follow a self-guided Treasure Trail through the winding backstreets and hidden corners of villages, towns and cities around the UK.
Crack the clues along the route to unlock incredible stories from the past and solve the mystery at the end.
Before you know it, you've walked a couple of miles, taken in the highlights, put your heads together as a family and returned home with a massive smile on your face!
Where do the Trails explore?
We have over 1,200 Trails across villages, cities and towns in the UK. Visit our website and enter the location you wish you explore, and you'll see all the nearby Trail adventures.
Who are the Trails for?
Literally everyone! Our Trails are particularly great for families with kids aged 4 - 11, and adults who love acting like big kids! Thousands of adults have completed a Trail without a child in sight.
How to get a Trail
You can get a Trail from treasuretrails.co.uk. Trails can be instantly downloaded to print at home or use on the Treasure Trails app, for same-day Trailing fun! Or, if you fancy a digital detox, we can print and pop one in the post for you.

Brilliant trail thank you
Brilliant trail thank you. Took friends who were visiting from Birmingham. What I love is it’s fun to do and you see parts of the city/town you wouldn’t normally see when visiting. We did solve the mystery yay. Our friends are now going to look for the trails in their area. 😁

A great team experience
A very enjoyable wander around the centre of Aberdeen which the team thoroughly enjoyed - the route was great, interesting facts and pointed out things that even those that had lived in Aberdeen for many years didn't know or hadn't seen before!

The walk began well but then we gave up due to clues not making sense or things missing
The walk began well but then we gave up as it became impossible to solve the clues. The gates no longer exist for clue 7. Clue 9 did not make any sense and didn't appear to work with the sign. We couldn't fathom out clue 13 at all. We could find nothing related to trees for clue 15 and we couldn't find any ten letter words for the Jacob Epstein statue in clue 19. This is the second time things have been impossible to solve or missing. These are no good if no one keeps them up to date.

Fantastic, Fun, Informative
Me and my partner did our hometown of Malton North Yorkshire Treasure Trail and we loved it and thoroughly enjoyed it. We found out facts and information we never knew about the town plus some hidden nooks we’ve never been up. Fantastic fun, great value for money and have already downloaded several for York and Whitby for the summer ❤️

Amazing idea and day out
Great routes, we got to see things we never knew were there.
Quality time spent with my mum working as a team to work out clues.
We also went past plenty of refreshments stops

A wonderful family afternoon out.

Led by my son in law a maths graduate and cryptic clue enthusiast he enjoyed it enormously, happily contagious for rest of us. Impossible to solve without following clues to the letter or number. But very clever and ingenious. Congratulations on a well put together, accurate and well researched product. We shall all be buying from you again.

Scarborough fun challenge
Did the Scarborough trail with grandchildren, 7 & 9. We loved it, leaned a lot about the town and enjoyed the midway break on the beach! Great fun

Skegness Gardens and Promenade
We have just completed this trail.2 Adults and a young Teen. We have done many of these and found them great fun. Some harder than others, but still completed. A great day out, even engaged with some of the locals (who got very interested). Well done Treasure Trails keep it up. Doing Pendle Witches one next wish us luck:)

We really enjoyed the treasure trail for Scunthorpe Steel town. It was a fun adventure for an afternoon and we found out some interesting facts about the town we live in

The Chester Trail.
We enjoy looking around new places, but don't always know an area well enough to know the best way to walk around to see everything. A Treasure Trail gives you clues to look for along a route that includes the highlights of the area. We went to Chester and had a wonderful day solving clues that took us on a very interesting route.
