Had a pair of boots bought as a gift

Had a pair of boots bought as a gift. Within 6 months they had split in the same place on a seam. Because I had no order number Tretorn would not replace them but offered me 15% of buying a new pair. No thanks I will never buy from this company and do not recommend them.

Tretorn Garpa

I had an issue with Tretorn Garpa. After 2 months and 10 uses, their glue started to fail and are leaking. For such an expensive boots this is unacceptable. I reached Tretorn with picture of a leak place, because the seller does not have replacement. But the answer from Tretorn customer service was, that I have to solve the issue with the seller. Cold corporate behaviour. I just want to have my Garpa which wear great, not my money back after endless hackling with the seller.

According to the Swedish Consumer Sales Act (Konsumentköplagen), warranty claims must be handled by the retailer where the product was purchased. Since you bought the boots from a third-party retailer, they are responsible for assisting with any replacement or repair under the law.

We know it can be frustrating to have to go through the retailer for a resolution, but we truly hope you’re able to get the issue sorted quickly. We want nothing more than for you to enjoy your Garpa boots to the fullest!

Richtig schlechter Kundenservice

Richtig schlechter Kundenservice. Sie geben einem ein Rücksendeetikett mit, dass keine Expresslieferung enthält und dann braucht das Paket eben ewig nach Schweden. Die Zahlungsfrist ist aber abgelaufen und nachdem sich keiner meldet vom Kundenservice und es auch keine Hotline gibt, musste ich den Betrag bezahlen, obwohl ich alles vorschriftsmäßig gemacht habe.

Watch out for shockingly bad customer service

Beware: shockingly bad customer service.

I've been a loyal customer of Tretorn and have owned several of their shoes and boots throughout my adult life.

Recently purchased a pair of rubber boots the same size as my older ones and disappointed when they fit larger. This was not mentioned on the website.

Got in touch with customer service and someone by the name Jesper replied asking for my order number and that he'd 'cancel all shipping cost'.

After I sent my order number, I didn't hear back from him and received no other actionable email. When I followed up, I received a one-sentence email with no-context whatsoever.

This hipster-way of communicating infuriates me, as I had to keep chasing with another email to clarify what exactly is the solution offered to me, only to receive more one-sentence reply with nothing to action.

Here we are, close to two months later, and they seem to have ghosted me.

It's truly a shame as they have good quality products, however their horrendous customer service prevents me from purchasing online. Be mindful, especially if you are purchasing from the UK.

I have had two pairs of Tretorn boots…

I have had two pairs of Tretorn boots and they're amazing. I eventually wore through the soles of my first pair, I used them so much. They're well-made so that took a while.

I had a production issue with my second pair and the customer service from Tretorn was exceptionally good. They could not have helped more. It was the best customer service I have had in years. Thank you, Tretorn.

I'll looking at my third pair right away.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE IF IN UK. We have been charged £18 in total for delivery and return. No fault of our just that boots were too small. Absolute waste of money.

Nice product, but be careful of returns

Be careful using this company. They don’t have product stocked in the UK, so everything is shipped from Sweden. This wasn’t a problem for delivery, but when I needed to return the boots (too small) you are charged £18 (which includes a £9 ‘return fee’).

Not worth the money or hassle

Not worth the money or hassle.
Ordered some lined winter rubber boots. The tread on them was so flat I would have slipped straight over on any ice or mud. I don't understand what kind of situation these boots are useful for, but useless for actual winter outdoor use. The 6 was also far too tight and I am always a size 6 or 5.5. The returns procedure is complicated, takes a lot of time and expensive. You have to complete a confusing UPS customs note, weigh the parcel, print several sheets of invoices and customs notes. Then take the parcel to UPS point. You also have to pay £9 for the return, so in total waste £18 on p&p for shoes that were no good.

Schweißnähte Schwachstelle

Ich habe mir die Halbstiefel im Schwedenurlaub gekauft und bin (immernoch) vom Tragekomfort begeistert, was allerdings nicht viel bringt, wenn sie nach einem halben Jahr kaputt sind und das, bei normalem Gebrauch. Dafür waren sie zu teuer! Das ist sehr schade, zumal ich aufgrund der Entfernung keine Möglichkeit habe sie irgendwie zu reklamieren.
