Hate the overpriced toothbrush replacements £29.00 for three and make sure you dont order an incorrect replacement head as their toothbruses have different sizes ie the pro v non pro!!! Which dont fit

I’ve been trying to reach customer service since January by phone, email, and through the website, but haven’t been able to get through to anyone. Very frustrating.

Just looking at reviews below I have had a similar issue- buying the wrong replacement brushes on the website (because it’s not entirely clear which brushes are the correct ones- and it’s not just me that’s made that mistake clearly) which are really expensive and the company refusing to accept a return because I’d opened the plastic pouch one of them came in. Talk about lack of goodwill, leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Whilst working it was fine! I’ve had it just over a 1 year! I’m not sure how long they are supposed to last but mines stopped working!

What’s annoying is I just ordered a pack of new toothbrush heads and took them with me whilst I travel. I now have no use for them!

Waste of money!

I have had the spotlight oral care sonic toothrbush for four years now and it has been fantastic. Prior to this I had several other electric toothbrushes, all of which stopped working after 18mth -2yr forcing me to buy a new one.

My first contact with spotlight customer service was 2yr ago when i lost my charger - they promptly sent me one free of charge (just paying for postage). My sonic toothbrush then stopped working 5days ago. It would switch on but the power wasnt being trasmitted to the toothbrush head. I contacted customer service where I received speedy and helpful emails from suzanne who sent me tips on how to try and fix the issue and as a result the issue was rectified.

My only constructive feedback would be that it would be great if they had different toothrbush heads from soft, medium to firm as at present only one is avaiable, and i sometimes find this a little too soft.

I have recommended this toothbrush to friends and family and will continue to do so.

I have used many of the Spotlight products for years now and I find that they work brilliantly. Love the toothbrush in particular.

I have been using the sonic toothbrush for two years. Better than any other brush I have used. Recently bought two kids brushes/ toothpaste and the kids love them too!

My Spotlight toothpaste and Sonic toothbrush leave my teeth feeling cleaner and whiter.i have been using them for the last couple of months and find them much better then my previous brand.

Very impressed with product have been using for couple of years and have no issues.

Have been ordering from Spotlight for a number of years now. Fantastic products. Couldn’t recommend them enough. You won’t be disappointed

I can't say enough positive things about this company. I've had one of their sonic toothbrushes for over 4 years and honestly the quality is incredible. Much better than any Oral B. Love that it's founded by two female dentists.

I bought replacement heads for my rose gold sonic pro. They do not fit it and I am not able to return them and exchange as I had to open them to find out they didn't fit. The company offered a partial refund but they are so expensive that if I bought even a slightly reduced second set it would be around £40 wasted with a partial refund just on toothbrush heads. I can't afford this. Its not clear to see the difference in the brush body mine looks just like the one on the advert but is I guess the older version even though I got it last year. The rose gold body of the brush is too similar to know this and now I have wasted £26 on heads that I can't use or return. Really disappointing. I want to warn others about this as they refused a return or refund and I feel like the advertising is misleading and unclear to consumers which is really unfair.

On 02 February 2026 I submitted a negative review as my toothbrush stopped working after 20 months of use. Spotlight Oral Care reached out to me immediately and have provided a no quibbles replacement toothbrush. I can only speak as I find, and have to say the speed and efficiency with which they sorted out my issue was very good.

My wife and I both had Sonic Pro’s, I initially had an issues with mine charging after a couple of weeks, so it went back and they sent a new one out, which seemed great. Then my wife’s died about 3 months later and now I’m charging my replacement for about 10hrs, for one use. Had them barely a year!

Honestly, I think the marketing needs to take a back seat and the manufacturing needs to be the focus!

Reading through the other reviews, there seems to be a common theme with their brushes!

I purchased this brush around a year ago and have changed the head numerous times and always been okay.

Now for whatever reason the brush does not come on and does not charge.

Anyone else had this issue?

Just like the majority of reviews this company responded well before Christmas but now completely ignore all contact attempts. Expensive toothbrush that failed within 12 months and they completely refuse to do anything.
Avoid like the plague and go with a reliable, support brand like oral b - and save a ton of money too.

Section 75 claim to be raised.

I expect this company to disappear as their website is not working currently.

Update 1:
Got a reply telling me they are still trading and responding to queries within 24hrs. This has been going on since 12th November with a promise to replace the faulty unit made 8th Dec then completely ignoring every email since then. So, no I do not accept that the company is looking at emails within 24hrs (or they are and just ignoring them).

Update 2:
You just can’t make this up. After responding to my review again, they now ask me to send my details to yet another email address. I’ve already sent this to customerservice@spot****.com and
info@spotli******.com
as advised by the various people who claimed to be looking into this to sort out a replacement (yes - Orla, Danielle, Augustine I am talking about you).
To top it all off, I actually got, brace yourselves, not a response to my last emails but a ‘tell us about your experience’ survey!!

I’d suggest you look on your system for unresolved complaints (though looking at trustpilot I can imagine you have a huge backlog of those). Then ask those three people why on earth they have still not sorted it out.

Don’t order! Wish I’d listened to my friend’s OralBIos recommendation. Foolishly, I checked online recommendations and forgot to look at Trustpilit. I ordered online and used for one day. I couldn’t cope with the feeling on my upper gums and lip and had to give up, despite trying all settings. I wrote today, 2 days after it arrived, and received a polite reply saying it could not be exchanged once opened, unless it’s faulty, and should keep trying. I’ve tried all settings so it is not fit for purpose as far as I’m concerned - I’ve had an electric toothbrush for 15+ yrs so didn’t anticipate this. I’ll take legal advice - wish I’d gone to Boots and bought an OralB!

I have had 2 sonic pro toothbrushes. The first one, the brush heads never fully locked in place and the harder you push them, the more they are impossible to get off! This toothbrush lasted 6 months before the battery died - Would not charge at all. Spotlight replaced it. The one they sent would not fully charge from the box, and leaving on charge for 48hrs would do about 6 brushes before running out. A replacement was promised but not delivered, now they are not answering emails, phone calls or whatsapp messages.

I placed an order for the whole family based on a telegraph article and Spotlight UK website reviews but ended up returning for a refund once I read customers' experience on trustpilot and I am pleased that I did. The customer care handled the returns well but I had to pay the postage. The marketing team also endlessly bombard you with daily offers and the prices change more frequently than the NY stock exchange!

Completely given up with this company now.

As a family we have three of the Spotlight Oral sonic tooth brushes and use the tooth paste, whitening powder and gel ; and have done for a number of years. I have been a very loyal customer.

The minute you sent me a fake email today ‘meant’ to be an internal email then sent an oops email minutes later apologising and offering a special offer as a gesture of goodwill you lost me.

Don’t insult your customers … without your customers you have no business. If you start treating people like they are stupid, they’ll show you how clever they are and take their business elsewhere! Judging by some of the previous reviews on Trust Pilot, I’m not the only one who’s off to shop elsewhere!
