Retail done right!
Went to the design show room in Liverpool this week (which is a must visit), and I got some great Christmas gifts and was helped by a wonderful and knowledgeable staff. It's rare to have a retail experience these days that is so warm and personable. Bravo Team Utility and happy holidays!

A great experience
I ordered a lamp on Friday 12th December, the lamp was delivered by DPD this morning. I cannot fault the customer service experience from the team at utility. As always a pleasure to deal with. 10 out of 10!

This company is an absolute scam.They refuse refunds and exchanges. Although on their website it's clearly marked as hassel free refunds, they send some ridiculous explanations about information hidden in the terms and condition section. If you don't want to spend hours to read their regulations I recommend to stay away from them as far as you can, because they don't care about customers satisfaction, all they care is how to get money from them leaving them with problems on their own. Such waste of money, time and nerves. I've took the case further, because it's a false advertising. Strong warning. P.s The company doesn't send refund forms in any form, even electronical version and it takes ages to get in touch with them. After keep delaying a refund for a long time and finding excuses, they weren't interested in any form of help , even exchange. On the page with the item it was clearly marked that I will be able to return , I've got evidence in the form of printscreens.
If you don't want troubles stay away with them.

Hi Magdalena. We’re sorry to read that you feel unhappy with your experience and obviously we take allegations such as this seriously not to mention personally.
To clarify the situation, the return was declined because the request was made outside of the statutory 14-day cooling-off period, not because returns are “refused”. Under UK consumer regulations, we are not obliged to accept change-of-mind returns once this period has passed. Like may companies we do not include returns forms in packages to mitigate paper resource. These are sent to customers by email when they request them. However, you made no request to return the item within the cooling off period and we have never received anything from you to state otherwise.
Additionally, the products purchased were oil-based consumables. While these items can be returned within the cooling-off period, once that timeframe has elapsed we are unable to accept them back due to product integrity and safety considerations, including the potential for prior use, dilution, or contamination. This is a standard and reasonable precaution taken by many retailers.
Our website does state that we offer hassle-free returns; however, this is clearly subject to the conditions and timeframes outlined in our Returns Policy, which is available prior to checkout and we emailed you regarding on all order confirmations. I appreciate you may not have read them but they are on our website and are standard terms used by online retailers.
We understand that this outcome is disappointing and regret the frustration caused. However, we acted in line with our published policies and UK consumer law, and we strongly disagree with the suggestion that we mislead customers or act unfairly.
We remain committed to transparency and customer service and encourage customers to contact us before ordering if they have any questions about returns or suitability.

De-light-ful Products
We’ve recently relocated and consequently we have been in need of new lights and some furniture - we bought 3 Hay Pendants, a Flos Glo Ball Pendant, a Blomus Fera Side Table & a Ferm Living Plant Box on Stand. These arrived quickly and efficiently and are just what we needed. We’ve used utility for many years and have always been very happy with the service offered and the products delivered!

First rate service.
I placed a web order in September. The online shop made it clear that the item was out of stock. I received confirmation of the order and an apology that the order could not be fulfilled immediately, but I would be kept up to date by email. I received 2 or 3 such emails and the order was actually delivered before schedule and well in time to gift as a birthday present. Throughout the contact Utility Design has been affable, courteous and painstaking in its attention to customer services. I couldn’t rate them more highly. Thank you all. My only complaint is that the objet d’art that arrived was in every regard far superior to the photograph on the web site and they really don’t do themselves justice.

Perfect and easy delivery of a USM…
Perfect and easy delivery of a USM Haller unit. Polite staff who placed the assembled unit exactly where I wanted it and made sure it was level and in perfect condition. They took the packaging away with them. All very quick. The unit looks beautiful.

Super friendly and efficient delivery
I was kept informed on my delivery and the gentleman who delivered it was super friendly and efficient. The whole process of buying from utility from picking fabrics to delivery has been great. Such warm, knowledgeable and honest interactions with all staff. Not just trying to get that sale.
