AVOID THIS COMPANY
I had invested years ago with vent axia extractor fan thinking I was paying for quality. To be honest thought the extractor fan to be excellent but the customer service since, has left a very bad taste in the mouth.!!
I unfortunately had a fire nextdoor which affected the fan so I ordered another 12inch extractor only to find that it should have been a 9inch...so on returning the 12inch and ordering a 9" vent axia I have been presented with a "restocking charge" of over £350 for them to take the 12inch back.!!!
NEVER GOING TO BUY FROM THAT COMPANY AGAIN........

Unable to supply replacement parts
Avoid Vent-Axia MHVR units as in my experience fans require regular replacment and take months to arrive (I'm still waiting).
Customer service after sales was…
Customer service after sales was amazing.. i had to find replacement for the faulty sensors in my unit and Rizzy the customer service advisor went many miles extra to make sure my issue was taken care of. Her quick response to emails, immediate clarity of the issue at hand really was excellent. All in all it took several weeks to resolve my problems, but she stayed in regular contact. I really would like to thank her for all the effort!
Excellent Customer Service
Vent Axia Svara fan had a faulty blade after 18 months. I called Vent Axia on Thursday 29th June, gave details to Rizzy on their customer service team. She arranged a warranty claim. I received a new fan this morning, Saturday 1st July. Impressive service from Vent Axia & Rizzy, thanks.

I'd purchased and installed a Svara extract fan 2.5 years ago from an ebay seller. It had been working great but recently failed. ( Circuit board fault. ) The ebay seller was long gone but I checked directly with Vent Axia, and they confirmed the 5 year warranty was valid. A few emails back and forth and they sent a replacement. Superb customer service, big shout out to Rizzy in their sales department.
Poor customer service
I purchased a fan and paid for it to be installed by an electrician on a house with a full re-wire. The electrician found when the switch live was connected, it would short the circuit. He left it installed but explained that it's faulty. I contacted the seller, who said I'd need to have it un-installed, sent back to them, refunded and a new one sent out and re-installed. The cost of the two electrician's visits would be more than the cost of the fan.
So I contacted Vent-Axia who said go back to the supplier.
Both the supplier and manufacturer were really unhelpful.

Lead times a joke...take your monies 5months ago and still waiting on second fan unit!

I was daft, but when I explained they sent me a new fan.

Installed their unit less than a year…
Installed their unit less than a year ago. At first, it's fine but it started to have loud noise several months after installation. We asked them for support as it is still under warranty but they need to charge £120 for a visit.
Bad product and service. Avoid this company at all cost!
Excellent customer service
I've installed a number of vent axia mhvr's, all without issue. When the one in my property developed a fault, I emailed technical help, and to my surprise despite being a Sunday evening I got a response from Anthony, he suggested a few things to try. These didn't rectify the issue so he arranged a site visit. He turned up at the arranged appointment and promptly fixed the issue, all under warranty. Very impressive customer service, gives me confidence in recommending and installing these products in the future.
No customer service whatsoever
No customer service whatsoever. My heat recovery ventilation system needed a service which V-A claim to offer, but no response to repeated calls & emails.
Their single room heat recovery fan is too noisy to leave running in an en suite which makes it pointless.
useless customer service
ordered some standard filters 20/6 and expected them to be delivered with2-3 days. A month later still not arrived and when I contacted the company I was told we dont put on the website when things are not in stock!!! Apparently they dont advise or inform clients either , have now been told they are not coming before 5th August. I bought directly from the company although they are more expensive than everywhere else, will never do that again and recommend that you dont either
Useless
I purchased a newly-built apartment with Vent-Axia Kinetic installed a few months ago. Unfortunately, the ventilation system is completely useless. It does not circulate the air. Even at the 100% purge mode, you cannot feel much air coming from the vents. The apartment gets very hot even when the temperature is not that warm outside. The only way to get the air moving is to open all windows and put some fans by the windows, but why did I pay a lot for this fancy ventilation system then?
Note that this is not just my apartment. Everyone in our building complains about the same problem. I also tried to see if somebody could come to check whether this could be due to faulty installation or calibration (which I doubt), but there does not seem to be a way to get anyone to do it within a reasonable timeframe.
NEVER AGAIN.. cheap and nasty and EXPENSIVE!
NEVER AGAIN... A cheap and nasty EXPENSIVE extractor fan (VASF100T). I fell for the positive Screwfix reviews which are totally WRONG; clearly no one writing them actually fitted the unit themselves ! Even a close up look and feel shows this is not worth a whopping £70 !
The backdraught shutter is a flimsy polythene joke that just loudly clatters back and forth against the fan case in the slightest wind let along a gale ! I had to go back and remove it (OK tare it off!) from the en-suite installation as it was keeping everyone awake at night. The outside diameter of the output vent/spigot had a cable shoulder running down the length that made it impossible to fit into any common 4" waste pipe pre-installation. Customer Service was useless advising me to buy their connection kit which has a larger diameter... which would be a MASSIVE job.. it's only a wall fan swap..!!! Against CS advice I filed the shoulder down a tad (as I had no choice) and with lots of lube squeezed it into place. Only to find the 4 fixing screw slots were not slots at all... they were so narrow they may as well have been fixed holes ! There was no rotational adjustment space at all so were USELESS... therefore drilled holes and plugs needed to be bang on..! It looked nice when up though, but it's so flimsy it won't last long...! Oh and the box says in red that this timed version won't fit a 2 wire system (i.e. with switched live only with no permanent live) it WILL... just like all other fans I've seen, a link between positive and switched live terminals will safely work - but with no timer function available, obvs! Verified by Vent Axia CS... yet another call...!!! NEVER AGAIN...
Bought 2 extraction fans for my house…
Bought 2 extraction fans for my house 26 months ago, one is now gone and the other is only there to look like a vent because it doesn’t do anything. Unless you are using them on an outside wall, they are completely useless. Being more silent than useful in my opinion. Complete waste of money.
disappointing experience
Our unit broke three years from new. We tried booking an engineer from Vent Axia, and all I got was unanswered calls and emails. I researched and found out that the main power board was broken - quite common in these kinds of units.
I reached the technical advisors for advice, and I was getting mixed messages... we don't do these parts anymore.... you need a board from a different unit... call an engineer (already tried many times).
I called a third-party engineer, and he managed to get some clarity after spending two hours on the phone - at £120 per hour.
Finally, we know the part that we need, and it's out of stock!
We were told that the part will arrive in two weeks, then another two weeks, then after Christmas and I'm still waiting here while the mould is climbing through the walls.
A very disappointing experience that is far from getting fixed.
Not built to last.
Same house, same bathroom, same Vent Axia fan type (Centrif Duo, £168 last time) for 27 years. First fan (metal impeller) lasted 14 years. Second fan 10 years. Third fan 2 days (impeller fractured). Fourth fan 2 years 9 months until it was making a horrendous noise - notably had only been used half as much as previous fans as Son in third year at Uni so just me here pretty much since it was installed. Clearly not built to last anymore so am switching brands.
