I decided to buy a Volt Metro after researching and speaking with them. Really helpful staff and once I got my bike they were really helpful in sorting hub magnets to make a more secure folded bike.

The bike is marvellous and the company were very helpful in arranging a test ride and then delivery. Sadly it arrived with the back light not working and without the complimentary chain I had been promised and one of the cables came undone on my first ride out, so I suspect a tiny bit more time could be spent on the final check before dispatch, but there is a free service after the first 100 miles when I suspect all these snags will be sorted. I am looking forward to riding it more.

Elliot on Tech support and the team at the Milton Keynes factory got my Kensington back moving again very quickly. They even came to house with their mobile repair van and since it wasn’t a simple issue, took bike away for repair and returned it next day.
I couldn’t have asked for a better service.

Fantastic communication and great friendly service when picking it up. The bike gets a free service at 6 weeks to make sure all is well. I really couldn’t recommend Volt enough.

Love my Kensington bike. I love getting out and about cycling but struggled on the hills so this is the perfect answer. When I’m on the flat I can turn the electric off. Easy to charge and spare keys/fobs. This bike is pure quality and looks stylish. I made a few calls to Volt who were extremely helpful and gave good advice. My bike was delivered to 93 Cycles in Ilkley who delivered this to my address with the help of Volt. Purchased on the Cycle to work scheme.

i had an electric bike before but the volt seems to be more powerful. its a pleasure to ride

Volt were tremendous in arranging my test ride at A1 Braintree, who were also very helpful. Ordering from Volt on line was simple and very clear. Delivery to A1 was within 4 days and was checked by them so I was able to collect the bike only 1 week after my test ride.
Very pleased with the quality and look forward to learning to ride it to its full potential.

Bought a Burlington side-step bike! What a well-made piece of kit, such fun and a joy to ride! Definitely going to recommend.

I have owned my volt connect for 17 months and cycled 4000 miles in all weathers commuting every day.
It has proved reliable, it's been serviced regularly to volts schedule.
It's had two sets of brake pads, one chain and the cassette replaced during this time. I usually get between 50 and 70 miles on a charge depending on power assistance used.
The motor bearings have started to develop play in them resulting an annoying clacking noise. They will need changing soon I think, although I'm not sure whether it would a warranty thing or just fair wear and tear.
One not so good point was the manual for the bike, didn't actually include the instructions for the bike.
Overall I'm very pleased with my bike and would recommend volt bikes.
Thanks for all of little Steve's help at portsmouth cycle exchange with my bike over the last year or so.
One thing it could do with is a chain guard.

Elliot could not have been more helpful in arranging a trial ride or the sale. Absolutely delighted with the bike which has made short work of the hills in Hampstead and Finchley.

It’s everything you could possibly want from an electric fold up bike. I like the fact you have the choice to remover the battery if you like to charge it, the saddle is quite comfortable from day one rather than having to wait for it to soften over time, the walk mode is very nice as it gives you a little boost when pushing off from a stand still position eg at lights. The customer service I received when I collected my bike was brilliant they told me everything I needed to know & even showed me how to fold bike up & the added security of the rear Abus wheel lock is brilliant too

Looked at numerous folding bikes , someone reccomended Volt. Arranged a test ride through the website. Bought the bike on the spot. Wife liked it so much bought her one as well.
Communication between myself and Volt has been outstanding not only by email but they have phoned me as well.
Best customer service I have ever experienced. They even sent me a box of goodies they didn't have to do as I was outside the offer.

Have had my Volt Burlington for three and half years having bought this along with a Volt Kensington for my wife. Have always been pleased with the bike and have recommended Volt Bikes to quite a few people.

However I no longer can do this as I have found them to be poor in responding for my request for help after my bike suddenly lost power, with the LCD controller turning off. The user manual is frankly no use and no help available on the Spintech site (they supply the power system to Volt)

Whilst the bike is no longer in warranty I asked for help with a possible diagnosis so that I could, if necessary, have a local bicycle repairer hopefully fix this.

My initial request was almost 2 weeks ago and although given a technical support reference nobody has come back to me, despite two phone calls and several emails.

Really poor customer service which makes you wonder if Volt has the resources or the will to help its
customers. As of now I think both.

Update Friday 15th March: I finally got some movement and battery was returned to volt to assess. However this is still not resolved and I have been unable to contact the tech services team either by email or telephone (left two messages with no reply)

Further Update: Probably because of the above update and a lot of emails and voice messages I finally got to speak to someone in their workshop. I have had to buy a replacement battery which I hope to have by next week. At that time I will update this review.

Fantastic service @ Volt, great customer care after a wee prang, fixed straight away! Thanks guys...I've been peddling my Burlington for 2 months now and absolutely love it.

My wife has the original Volt LS which sits in the shed gathering dust. I was still exhausted from a 56 mile ride the day before so I borrowed it to ride back from the garage after dropping my car off for more repairs.
What a fantastic bike. With the exception of the cable disc brakes being a bit weak, not really got a bad to say about it.
It even fits in the passenger side of a Porsche Cayman with no issues!

Rating dropped from 5 stars due to the cable disc brakes...I see that the latest version has hydraulic which I would expect to be an improvement.
