Can’t fault them at all - ordered a helmet on Thursday and let them know I was desperate for it (needed for the weekend)…it was dispatched after a few hours and arrived the next day. Good price and free delivery

Very disappointing, before ordering I asked for confirmation that a component would fit, was advised it would, when part arrived I dropped bike off with mechanic, didn’t fit correctly so contacted Westbrook told them the problem, was told I needed to return the incorrect part, so now need to take bike back to mechanic to have part removed, pack up and take component to the post office and then return part and wait for correct part to be delivered to then take part and bike back to mechanic to have part fitted! It’s £30ish including postage surely customer service would be ‘ok we messed up we will send you the correct part for fitting and include a return envelope to return the wrong part’. Whilst I appreciate an honest mistake, I have been considerably inconvenienced and will have to pay the mechanic 3 times for the work. Have said I will post an honest review and order from a professional outlet who have a better customer service.

On the 1st day of a biking holiday my rear hub have up completely, the service guys were very helpful, stripped it and even though didn't have the part in stock managed to rebuild a rear hub and got me back to what would have been a ruined holiday, went beyond what they needed to do and what other shops wouldn't. Well done and thank you.

I will start with the positives- easy to use website, hassle free ordering and to their credit, Westbrook Cycles were largely very responsive to my emails. I also appreciate the quick refund, although any explanation/apology or attempt to get me what I actually ordered and paid for might have been nice.
Unfortunately, I've had a poor experience with Westbrook and feel I was deceived by their website and then sent the wrong bike, which they tried to pass off as the same.
Firstly, the delivery time is misleading (3-5 days as in stock in warehouse according to the website). I realise I ordered before a bank holiday, but I placed my order 2nd June. Westbrook did not even receive the bike until 14th June and took until 15th June to check it over. I actually had to contact them to delay delivery even more, as I was going away for a few days and obviously had expected to receive the bike well before this!

Westbrook sold me a 2021 model of the Giant Roam 2 disc and tried to pass it off as the 2022 they had advertised. When I realised the mistake and contacted Westbrook, they told me there should be no difference between the bikes. I knew there was, as I had done some reading before purchase. After further probing, I was advised that due to lack of supply, Giant were just selling 2021 bikes as 2022 with no changes made and would often ship the old model as that's what they have available.

I felt that this explanation was unsatisfactory and that I was being fooled. So, I called Giant direct and they confirmed that the 2022 model has different brakes. More concerning, they advised they would never ship a 2021 model unless that was exactly what was ordered. They advised me that they had the 2022 model in stock and would not ship out an older bike in its place.

Upon confronting Westbrook via email to explain the above, absolutely zero explanation was given about this dishonesty, nor any apology made or attempt to get me the correct bike, which I had repeatedly pointed out is all I was after. I was asked to package the bike up and they would arrange pick up and refund. I confirmed the address and then did not hear anything back.
On Monday, collection day I still had not heard anything so I emailed Westbrook and then telephoned when I didn't receive an email reply. I was advised that a dpd van was on the way and I was sent an text to advise of the pick up window. The bike was then picked up promptly. However, I was irritated that I had to chase this up and no information was given until an hour before the collection.

To this day, I have received no apology or explanation for what happened. All this hassle and back and forth and not even a sorry. I was not offered the bike I actually paid for at any stage, which leads me to think that Westbrook simply don't have it or have advertised the price for the 2021 model hoping to fool consumers and been caught out. Beware their too good to be true pricing and check your packaging on receipt of your order to make sure you have received what you actually paid for. Sadly, would not recommend Westbrook Cycles, nor would I buy from them again.

These guys are the best, consistently so.
Range, prices, availability, and service --- all impeccable.

I ordered a helmet in July last year and the padding started to wear and break up over winter. I contacted Westbrook Cycles by email on Sunday and brand new replacement padding came on Tuesday. You can't do much better than that.

I ordered a new mountain bike from here, and through no fault of Westbrook (packaging was good) the front hydraulic brake lever was ripped out from its socket when the bike arrived. The guys at Westbrook got back to me straight away and shipped out a full replacement front brake assembly. Couldn’t have asked for more, great customer service!

I ordered a pair of TLD Sprint trousers yesterday, at 11am, I received a despatched email within 30mins! They've just arrived, this morning in less than 24hrs (on a 48hr, free DPD shipping service). Time slot communication today was accurate and the price cheaper than anywhere else UK based that I could find. I didn't need to contact Westbrook Cycles but my experience has been excellent, hence a 5 star rating and their site seems to have plenty of choice available for all categories. I'd use the company again and from my experience can definitely recommend them.

I ordered a new derailleur at 2.30 on a Friday afternoon, and it was delivered by 11.30 on a Saturday morning. this was after being let down by Tweeks cycles giving me a delivery date of next year. Great service from Westbrook cycles.

I ordered a bike part, It didn't fit my bike, I could return it and get a refund. Based on my bike manufacturer, I ordered an alternative part, which was supposed to fit my bike, but again it didn't fit! I sent it back and got a second refund promptly.

I hope that most are UK based customers are happy with this site, but my very strong recommendation to everyone outside UK is to stay clear of this site. Reasons being:
-Very expensive shipping compared to every store I have bought online items from (40 punds?!).
-Shipping both expensive and slower than regular mail even (more than 9 days).
-Pricing is close to being a scam since EU citizens must pay additional tax + handling fees and,
-The clear information about non-UK pricing and rules is virtually non-existent on site and is very very poorly handled with actual prices not noted correctly

If this store wishes to sell to "the world" they need to step up their game dramatically. Being pointed to read the fine print from a store boasting to ship to the "world" is a joke. Like I said, I do not recommend anyone outside UK to shop here. There are MANY much better alternatives. Even some less good ones in NL, FR, DE are a better choice.

I do not give the store the worst rating because they have replied to mails and tried to explain things, and they have a good amount of parts listed. That does not help the fact that my shipping and extra customs charge and especially the handling fee amounted to far above the actual purchase cost

Fantastic company, fantastic people. Had a slight issue with part of my order being out of stock and they went above and beyond to help me out. This is my go to cycle shop from now on, can’t recommend highly enough!

Absolutely sublime experience and customer service from Westbrook Cycles! Ordered a new bike on the Tuesday night, dispatched the next morning and arrived on the Thursday evening! Lightning quick delivery and great deals, even during this time of bike shortages worldwide! Would highly recommend buying from this company and this will be the first place I look from now on for new cycling gear, upgrades and equipment!

I needed a replacement screw for my TLD helmet. Found a number of places that did a 3 pack for £10. Ordered from Westbrook and only 1 screw arrived. Now fair enough when I checked the website it only said 1 screw but was the same price as 3 elsewhere. I sent them an email asking about their price promise. No reply after a week so I called. They said they couldn't match the price, so what is the point of a price promise?! 2 stars cos the order was delivered ok; but overpriced, no response to email and a price promise that is worth nothing.

Reserved new bike over the phone and collected so they could set up correctly. Great service and they threw in pedals etc in the price. Very knowledgeable. Would recommend.

Seemingly fantastic service ! After being messed about with a different supplier, I've placed the same order with Westbrook Cycles for £10 less and its going to be with me in less than 24 hours ! Happy days ! *update*
Trousers turned up as expected and are mega !

Its taken me sometime to get round to this review, I ordered 3 new bikes with Westbrook cycles so quite a lot of money spent with them, we were planning a family touring trip in Scotland with these new BERGAMONT VITESS N8 Belt-Driven Hybrid Bikes. When the first 2 bikes arrived one of them was clearly faulty, it wouldn't select gears properly and the wheel was buckled, so we contacted Westbrook cycles to resolve this issue and it was clear to me from the very start they had no interest in resolving this problem. All they wanted me to do was to take it to another bike shop and pay for it myself and then try and claim the money from them later which I refused to do, I lost count of how many phones calls and Emails I made to them to get this issue resolved, I even compromised telling them if this bike is returned I would order a more expensive one to replace it, but it still has taken weeks to sort out, luckily this one bike we ordered was on finance so the finance company finally stepped in and refunded me my 50% deposit and my first monthly payment.

Fantastic buying experience. Couldn’t be happier with the customer service and bike delivery. Middlesbrough is a long way from home, but can’t see my family buying from anywhere else. Just goes to show some of the stories us southerners hear aren’t true!!😊Merry Christmas all, safe 2021.
