Customer service response time very good via internet but prefer speaking on the phone.
Insurance policy wording for an older person very confusing and not friendly. I had to take my policy to the Vets who actually hire someone who deals with Insurance so that I could get piece of mind, that I had everything covered.

Amazing customer service
Sadly, we've needed to make 3 separate claims over recent months, for the 1st time ever. Each of these 3 claims has been processed and approved incredibly quickly. The claim for one of our cats was following her having to be put down suddenly and at a young age which was a huge shock for all of us. W&W were really kind and sensitive in how they handled the claim, and the following closure of her policy. Can't fault this company at all!

Short but sweet!
The premium for our aging Boxer hit £200 per month with our previous insurers and despite having the utmost confidence in their service delivery it just became too much.
Whistle and Wag came to our attention through a comparison site. Their quote was reasonable and the cover matched our needs. Signing up took a matter of minutes.
Unfortunately our beloved pet passed away on the 20th December, as a consequence of which we had to cancel the policy. I was initially concerned that it could only be done by emailing the company. However, I needn't have worried, my email was answered within minutes and the policy immediately cancelled.
Whilst I cannot rate their service delivery, based solely on my limited experience I would definitely use them again.

Terrible experience!!!!
Joined this so called high rate insurance company in February,my cat got ill , she was 12 had a chest infection,back wards and forwards for over 6 months to the vets were eventually she had to go to the animal hospital diagnosed with lung disease,had to have her put down in September she was really poorly,broke my heart so much, the total cost of all the vets bills was over 3 thousand pounds,to be told the I wasn't covered because it was pre existing!!! Firstly they were not interested in one bit in paying out, secondly there not interested or sympathetic in the least about my cat bailey! Thirdly you can't speak to anybody it's email portal only! So people beware before signing up to this non sympathetic shambolic company, stay clear and lesson learned!!!

It is common practice across the insurance industry to only offer cover within a policy period and not before that policy started. I have looked at your specific case which was a claim in July for a condition that had been going on for some time before your policy start date. Our assessors assess claims with the information provided by you and your vet. If this information is incorrect, we have an appeal process which allows your vet to provide further information if you feel the condition was not pre-existing to your policy. Great price and great service
We initially chose Whistle and Wag for their great value and options for cover for our dog, Archie. Unfortunately we needed to make a claim for Archie this December for an unexpected lumpectomy. Whistle and Wag was fantastic - they responded to my queries swiftly and the claim was reviewed and paid out in less than two weeks of my dog’s procedure.
Highly recommend!

Your policy excess is is taken once per policy year, per condition, as stated in your certificate of insurance when the policy was purchased. Perfect! I claimed for my cat and within a few days everything was settled with the vet and myself. All done online and when I did have to send an email it was replied to quickly.
