Avoid like the plague
I engaged in an email conversation with this company in advance of hiring a device for home during a gap between broadband providers. Their website makes it clear that the service they provide will be sufficient for streaming. I was surprised that they would be confident enough to say this as these are 4G mobile routers and in some areas the service would not be sufficient. I was concerned that we would be provided with a network which did not offer good service in our slightly patchy area and so I suggested they provide something on the O2 network which I know works inside our house. They suggested I put the information in the box at the point of order which I did. When I received the router it did not have an O2 network connection but a different network which did not work well in our house. It was providing speeds on average of about 2-3 mbps which is below that required for basic streaming. It was barely allowing a web page to open. I wrote to them to inform them of this fact. They asked to provide screenshots of the speed which I did and then said that they had not managed to check my post code against the available network providers. This was because it was a seven character (London) post code and the website they were using couldn’t cope with it. They had therefore taken a punt on the network which would work at my location and ignored the extra information I gave them both in email correspondence and at the point of order. They accepted that there was an issue by offering to send out a replacement router with an appropriate connection on the next working day. That would result in me acquiring a “working” router four days into my seven day hire period. I told them that was unnecessary because my gap in broadband coverage would have most likely been fixed by then and so I would just return for a full refund. They wrote back and said they were only prepared to refund days 4-7 and they would expect me to still pay for days 1-3 for a router which they had themselves accepted was not fit for purpose. In response I told them I was not prepared to argue over 30 pounds - even though they are clearly in the wrong - but that I would take the opportunity of leaving a review where I could so that people are not led to wasting money in the same way I have been. In short, the router was basic, the network provider was not appropriate for the area, they ignored the information I gave them twice and they failed to make the appropriate checks on my post code and guessed instead. After that, they declined to give me a full refund for a service which they have never provided. Avoid like the plague.

Great service
Great service, unit arrived next day which was a Sunday, plugged in and worked without issues. Very useful as some contractors had messed up my fibre connection.
AVOID
AVOID. The WiFi arrived late despite paying special delivery for postage. I contacted them about this and they just ignored me. The WiFi could barely sustain two smart phones. TWO smart phones, that’s it. It was barely functional. Waste of £50

Robbed of £30
Hired a wifi box due to already frustrating internet issues I was having, so was hoping this would be a temporary solution.
Instead the box provided no signal due to working off mobile sim signal even after following the guidance. I didn't want to incur any further fees so I returned it, after asking for a refund the stated because I returned the box they could be of no further assistance. Paid £30 for nothing and wasted my time. Would not recommend if you need in an emergency.

Great WiFi for when you’re on the go
The process from start to finish was seamless and quite easy. The hotspot worked great throughout our entire trip and the return postage made it easy to ship it back. I would definitely use this service again.
Excellent Customer Service
I ordered this WiFi for 3-6 October. I specifically requested it arrive the day before, as I require it for the morning of the 3rd of October. Living in the Highlands, the Tracking information said it would arrive a day late, even though it was sent 48 hour delivery. I contacted customer service, with little hope (as it was only an email). They responded immediately and sent another by 24-hour delivery. I've just received it and am so relieved... they emailed, as soon as it was delivered to check that I had received it.

Perfect if you need a short term, reliable connection
I rented a device for a week and the whole experience was seamless from start to finish. The ordering process was simple, delivery was in 24 hours and I was set up in 5 minutes. The internet was fast and reliable. When I was done it was super easy to return.
Can't fault anything
Can't fault anything, good communication before ordering, arrived a day early. Was using for a week on a caravan holiday in wales, they checked the signal before ordering to make sure it was suitable. Just plugged it into the caravan, perfect internet for a week on all devices including Apple TV . Took it to the post office the day we got home (Saturday) , deposit was refunded by Monday. Will be using again next year.
Wouldn't hire another one
Wouldn't hire another one. This portable WiFi box was just to enable us to use our firestick as we stayed at a holiday park which had no WiFi. I contacted the company before hand and I couldn't fault the customer service they were very prompt with responses. However I was advised with the postcode I gave I would have Internet connection which I did but it was very hit & miss. We had to reset this many times which was very frustrating as had to reconnect with password etc. I personally wouldn't recommend this as we didnt have a great experience.

Very disappointing service
I would give it zero stars.
I hired a wifi device as I don't have Internet connection at the moment and have very poor phone signal.
I did tell them that.
The device costed £60 for 10 days and was absolutely useless.
I received no help and was told no refund could be issued.

I didn't know a service like this…
I didn't know a service like this existed before I needed it and my experience with WifiHire was great and I would use them again. They did what they said they would and although hiring wifi is not cheap, it was worth it.
Surprisingly beneficial!
I didn’t know what to expect as I hadn’t heard of even hiring WiFi before. Seeing mixed reviews online made me cautious, but it actually worked out great. We hired one for an event so that Stallholders could connect and make payments for customers. Testing the signal by placing it in different areas of the venue beforehand worked great - allowed us to find the best spot to place it. Would use again.
Did not work for me
Did not work for me, returned for a refund but still got charged over £10 for admin and postage charges. Thought that was very unprofessional given that their service did not work for me at all.
*Update 11.09 - Refund received. Many Thanks. Suggestion to others, make sure there is adequate coverage where you intend to use the device.

⚠️ Not Worth the Money – Unreliable Service!!!!!!!
I rented this portable Wi-Fi while working remotely in the UK, and it was a very poor experience. The connection was extremely unreliable—every single Teams call I had dropped, even though I was the only person using the device. For a service that costs over £50, this is unacceptable.
The device also arrived with a broken charger, meaning it wouldn’t power on. When I contacted customer service, they refused to provide a replacement charger and told me to buy one myself.
Overall, the service was unreliable, product was expensive, customer support was unhelpful, and the equipment provided DID not even work for one device connected. No idea how they have positive reviews!!!!I would not recommend this company to anyone who needs a stable internet connection.

Excellent Company & Service
I could not recommend Wifi Hire more! What a great service they provide. My contract with Virgin ended but I needed one more month of WiFi before moving to Australia. Virgin offered me a great deal - an 18 month contract with a penalty payment of almost GBP 600.00 if I cancelled early !! Looking around, it is almost impossible to find a company who does anything less than a 12 month contract with huge penalties if you cancel early. Then I stumbled across WiFi Hire. Such a great company to work with. I made a mistake and ordered the wrong device and they immediately reached out to check what I wanted and rectify my error. The device was delivered on the exact date I chose and I simply had to plug it in and turn it on. I had the device in my living room and I was happily streaming videos in my bedroom upstairs with no buffering or lag issues at all. I returned the device to my local Post Office with the prepaid label and my deposit was returned to me as soon as they received the device back. I am very impressed and happy that there is a company that helps with situations such as mine. I would recommend them to anyone looking for this kind of service. Thank you WiFi Hire!
VERY INCOMPETENT
VERY INCOMPETENT! Don’t use this company services.
The delivery was late, it was delivered the day we wanted to travel with it . I thought, the Gadget would be delivered at least 1-3 days before the day we wanted to start using it considering that I had ordered the device a week ahead of our travel date.
It was for the kids to access wifi services while mobile and the holiday places we were travelling to didn’t have WiFi services .
The gadget was dispatched to arrive on Wednesday the day we were leaving , which didn’t make sense, as our service start date was that Wednesday and the day of our departure.We left without the WIFI gadget , which was a huge inconvenience to my family, affected our plans .
The company has no contact numbers or functional support services , so there seems to be no way to contact them directly other than via emails which they won’t respond back to on time. I am not sure if they do respond.

I have been in contact with one of your Assistant probably an AI assistant , asking me to ask my landlord or friend to send the gadget back to them, which didn’t make any sense. Worse, trying to justify the late delivery and laying blame on me for not letting them know that they were supposed to deliver a day before for me to get the service on the day it should start. Which was weird because when I order a service it is not my duty to remind the service provider to deliver the service right on time.
The response to my review is trying to play clever, yet this reply comes after we had so much back and forth emails before.

Speedy delivery and easy setup…
Speedy delivery and easy setup. Worked okay as a temporary WiFi solution while we waited for our broadband installation. Setup was simple and straightforward.
Allowed several devices to connect even Netflix on the TV.
However, the speed wasn’t great, and it turned out to be very expensive for just eight days of use.

DO NOT use this company. FRAUDULENT.
The device didn't work at all. Useless for work, Google meets, Zoom, any app for making calls just not load at all. Download and upload velocity < 1 Mbps. Tried everything. I asked for a refund and was refused. Paid more than 50 pounds for 7 days, and still waiting for the deposit back. Lack of empathy and support has ignored my requests for a refund since. Appalling service!

Quick and easy and did the job when moving house
A week without wi-fi. No thank you!
This was the second time I have used this company, we holiday at a fishing complex in South Wales which doesn’t have wi-fi, both times the router has been waiting for us when we got there and we returned it the day we left, our deposit was back into my bank within a week. If I asked any questions or queries by e mail, they were answered within a short space of time. We are going back on holiday next year and will be using this company again. Staff are always happy to help.
