If you are a current customer please look into joining one of the class action lawsuits against them

Absolutely terrible. Please read reviews before choosing them as partner. They will continue to steal from you (claiming pickups are complete and charging when they actually missed the pickup), terrible service, fake charges you have to catch and call to be removed, crazy fees, price increases, terrible customer service and the list goes on and on. Please use any other service other than WM. If you have problems with them there are several law firms working on class action lawsuits against them. I advise reaching doing a quick google search to find the best fit your situation to join.

Who pick up at a resort between 5am-8am…

Who pick up at a resort between 5am-8am when as a customer ordered after 9am. Called customer service and laylani was not only rude but made excuses that made no sense. Wonder why your losing customer's. Your support needs retraining. Cause I can tell you no paying guest at a resort want to woken up by a rubbish truck so early in the morning. Laylani IQ is absolutely 0. She also mentioned that other businesses has canceled so that why the driver picks up early. Wonder why they canceled!!!! Your service sucks.

They were supposed to pick up an old…

They were supposed to pick up an old couch which I scheduled 3 weeks ago. They told me May 12, 2026 which did not happen, then I was told May 13th for sure, which didn’t happen… Their staff constantly lies and are very rude.. I will notify the town tomorrow because they contract with these clowns… Worst company ever they SUCK.

Horrible service

Horrible service. The drivers continuously dumped my cans or placed them back in the middle of my driveway. I finally canceled my service and they charged me $100 to pick up the cans!
Trying to get a human to talk to, ridiculously hard! Would Never recommend them!

We cleaned out our garage

We cleaned out our garage. There was more trash then the can could hold. So as not to overwhelm the guys I didn't put it all out at the curb. This week I put one extra bag out. I know your rules say they don't have to pick up loose bags. Well I think it is lazy and stupid. I'm 67 years old and carries the bag out myself to make sure it wasn't to heavy for the man. The bag wasn't hazardous for anyone's health. Maybe people should start working instead of just driving a truck and pushing buttons that pick up a can for them. We pay enough taxes to have trash pick up. That means picking up the trash. I put extra out the week before and it was picked up. Maybe that was because it was something the driver wanted for himself because it was still useful. I just didn't want it

Worst company ever

Worst company ever! I think our garbage man might be a princess that doesn’t want to get his hands dirty! Do not go with this company if you want your trash picked up!

Large customer lost by customer support team

I’d leave negative stars if possible. Called in December to cancel service at a few locations since we are contractors and move all over. Was told that my company had a rep assigned and she was the only one who could cancel. Was given her email and sent her a message never got a response, Hacacia Costa Rodriguez was her name. Then I called customer service in Jan and got transferred to her and spent an hour working through the cancellation with her only to receive yet another bill the next month. And here’s where the avoidance comes in. I called her sent emails…no response. Longer story short I called customer service at least 35 times between feb and april and kept getting the run around. Finally got through to a Heather Bouldrey who apologized for the mix up and said she could see in the notes where I spoke with Hacacia back in January and said she was going to get it taken care of. I was hopeful she was going to take care of it but it appears all she did was cancel the service (in may, which should have been done in January) and we keep getting bills for feb-April. Any guesses on Heather returning calls?…she doesn’t, that’s seems to be their MO, just avoid your mistakes and hope they just go away. Called again today 5/11 and sat on the phone for 1 hour and 1 minute. At the 36 minute mark I was put on hold by, I believe Chrystal was her name only to be hung up on 25 minutes later while still on hold. This is absolutely crazy, and as a large customer with a lot buying power for over 10 years with multiple other accounts open with WM you would think they’d try to get this resolved. Well those accounts will now be closing thanks to no one else except your customer support team. Just Terrible! K, bye.

After the service was canceled ghosted

After the service was canceled, The account was charged an additional months service. WM did not respond to requests to help with this matter. Clearly WM will not assist you after a cancelation request.

This so called company has literally 1…

This so called company has literally 1 star for over a thousand reviews! That is what happens when you deal with incompetent ignorant 15 dollar an hour call center reps! And then they tell you to email them like they are really going to do something about their ignorance! I hope this company goes out of business in the State of Colorado! Soco Waste is the best and they are super cheap! They are family owned with no issues, they send a statement out each month and its user friendly. I highly recommend trying out Soco Waste!

Customer support line is a joke

Customer support line is a joke. Don’t answer the phone during business hours on Saturday. The chat is a lengthy waste of time. I have emailed support, called and done the chat. I am just trying to set up my account to pay it after we were forced by the city of portage to switch to this company. And despite 10 or more attempts to get it set up, still don’t have an account.

Could not be worse

Could not be worse. When you call customer service, expect to wait and probably get disconnected. Most of the people I speak with are incredibly rude. They cancelled my service with no explanation even though my payment information was up to date. They are a hot mess. Stay away.

Awful customer experience

Awful customer experience. Online booking counts weekends towards your total count, but there is no pick up or drop off on those days. So you either lose days or pay extra depending on their availability. Only 40 characters for special requests. There is absolutely NO way to contact anyone over the phone. No customer support whatsoever. Last time we used their service they picked up on the wrong day (cutting our time short). Would not recommend to my worst enemy. If I could give zero stars, I would. Actively waiting on a call (again).

I would give it no stars if I could

I would give it no stars if I could. Sorry excuse for a company. I called them on 4/8/26 for service (residential) and here it is 5/7/26 and still have not received a trash can. I even paid up front for the rest of the year (BIG MISTAKE) not to mention I can't even get my money refunded (almost 213 dollars). One month later still not trash can. I have called on a daily basis only to here that we guarantee you will have one tomorrow, and we all know tomorrow never comes. They have the most incompetent associates working for them. Wonder if any of them are required to have an education. I have no recourse because they hold a contract in Shelby County Alabama so I can't use another company. This company has no integrity; their employees have no integrity. This world is going to H___ in a hand basket because of companies like this one. WM does nothing but blow smoke up your butt with lies. nothing but lies. shame on them. They should have a zero rating. BAD SERVICE AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. They should not even be in business.

excessive fees

I had contacted Waste Management to cancel my service due to continued increase in pricing. I was offered some possible reductions if I stayed but I had chosen to use another service. When asked why I was cancelling I was honest and said due to cost which then I was informed it was going to be an additional $75 to cancel the service on top of the normal billing.
In setting up my new service that business informed me I should have told them I was moving then I would not be charged a fee at all for that. It is poor business practice to implement fees based upon a person changing their provider. WM also wanted to charge additionally for recycling pick up. Other providers have and currently do not charge a recycling fee in my area. Ridiculous and I will not utilize service from Waste Management ever again and will not recommend it to anyone to use.

Unreliable Service

You can never get anyone on the phone when there is an issue. You will be in the automated loop. Prices go up every 3 months. I cancelled and then I called 3 times for them to pick up their cans and still waiting. They have to be the most frustrating company I have ever dealt with.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Can't even get anyone on the phone. Have asked for a container replacement twice and BOTH times they gave me the wrong container.

Edit: had to speak to someone through live chat. They said the correct container would be sent within 5 days. A week later, it still hasn't been fixed. So, here we are on trash day and the trash guys didnt pick up my trash bc the wrong container was out. The wrong container that THEY gave me.

Terrible service


Terrible service — avoid at all costs

I used Waste Managed for bin collections at my business premises and the experience was a complete disaster. Collections were missed repeatedly with no warning or explanation. When I tried to contact them, communication was poor — no proper response or resolution.

Despite receiving no service, I was still being charged. To make matters worse, cancelling the contract was unnecessarily difficult. They made the process as hard as possible even after failing to deliver on their basic obligations.

I would not recommend this company to any business. If you are looking for a reliable waste collection service, look elsewhere.

Worst recycle/trash company

Worst recycle/trash company. They have no problems taking your money monthly but they always will forget to grab your stuff even if it’s out on the curb on time and then trying to get ahold of someone is impossible as anything you try to do in life. It’s all AI. Their 1855 number goes to some Medicaid phone number and trying to get ahold of them good luck!!!!!
