Tried for 30 mins to pay for pickup on…
Tried for 30 mins to pay for pickup on line terminal 2. Robot asks for registration no. After giving first three digits robot recognises it as "Y O U" tried 7 times before giving up. Can't speak to a human. So give up for tonight, no doubt system hopes I will forget and then give me a fine. Aargh
Next morning after trying again with no success, phoned customer care, who told me the camera hadn't picked my car reg. up, so no charge, hope I don't get a fine next week. Have logged everything.
I have been sent a penalty for barrierless drop off
I have been sent a penalty for barrierless drop off which is not advertised anywhere at the barriers. How am I supposed to know that it is barrierless drop off? mind read? I think this is a big con to make the airport money. How many people have been charged I wonder. Interesting subject for watchdog
The whole new system at Manchester…
The whole new system at Manchester Airport for barrier less parking is c**p. Tiny signs that you can barely read, time pressure to get in and out as quickly as possible- all designed to get you stressed that you then forget. But there’s no sliding charge, it’s an immediate £60 or £100. This definitely discriminates against older drivers and those with memory issues . They could have had an old fashioned approach with people handing out slips of paper to drivers who want it with new parking details on- eg phone number and website
Manchester airport no barriers
Manchester airport have removed barriers
Form car parks. Bring a person that only goes to the airport once every couple of years it’s confusing enough just getting to the correct area (parking, drop off, pickup) then with there being lots of traffic and work being carried out and having limited time to sit and read the signs that the system has changed if you see them.
The perverse time I went you paid at the barrier this time no barriers you start to think they have done away with the extortionate charges for dropping and picking up. I have always paid at the airport for parking but this time there was no way you could pay only to find out you’re getting a £60 fine for not paying within that day absolutely ridiculous which has to be paid within 14days or it will rise further more I think it’s orchestrated to cause people more pain and anguish.
Unsafe Car Park – No CCTV & My Car Was Broken Into!
I parked my car at the Manchester Airport Terminal 1 Multi-Storey Car Park (Level 10/Blue), expecting a secure facility since it is the official airport car park. However, when I returned, I was horrified to find my car had been broken into. Every compartment had been emptied, and personal belongings were stolen.
When I reported this to a car park officer, I was shocked to be told that there is no working CCTV in the car park because it’s “old”! This is completely unacceptable, especially considering I paid £55 for just 48 hours, expecting at least basic security measures.
If you’re considering parking here, be warned – your vehicle is not safe, and there’s no security footage to help if something happens. I have reported this to the police and strongly urge Manchester Airport to take immediate action to install working CCTV and improve security. Until then, I would avoid this car park at all costs!
The airport is run by muppets
The airport is run by muppets, who on earth thinks up these stupid tarrifs, like having to pre book and pay to collect, i think they all need to go back to managment school....
How can an airport increase charges…
How can an airport increase charges every 15 mins when you’re waiting for them to arrive and have no control over passport control or baggage handling? My wife paid over 20 quid recently because her sister’s bags were delayed. When waiting for arrivals you’re basically held captive and charges increase
On the whole Drop and Go have provided…
On the whole Drop and Go have provided a good system with helpers available to check your car in. I have had experiences where the Drop and Go bus takes longer to pick up than necessary. Last night was the worst. Waiting in 2oC for 40 minutes with numerous other pickups taking place. The Jetparks took pity on us and phone Drop and Go but still no one arrived. Again a driver from Jetparks phoned and eventually a bus arrived. Since the prices have increased it makes it less competitive. Not sure if I’ll use them again. We were frozen🥶
Awful experience with Manchester…
Awful experience with Manchester airport parking at Terminal 3. My car was damaged while I was on holiday by an airport car park employee. On my return I was told they had accepted liability and would contact me to resolve/ pay for the damage. This was in October. I have tried to contact them on numerous occasions with no response. I am now planning to start a small claims court claim against them. Disgraceful Manchester airport, I will never use their car parks again.
DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES - DAMAGE TO VEHICLE
I cannot stress enough that if you do not want your car damaged do not use manchester airport parking
I booked via their website the Drop&Go service, the claim was it was safe and secure, the drivers are insured and it's convenient.
When I returned from my holiday, I picked up my key, and it was late at night so the car park was very dim so i looked over my car and couldnt see any obvious signs of damage so I left the car park. I did notice when I got in the car that the driving setting had been changed into sports mode which i did think was odd but I left it because there was nobody around, nobody in the lobby and I was tired as everyone is after a day of travelling and I wanted to go home. I'd just like to add that I do not drive my car in sports mode.
The following day when I checked my car properly in day light, I noticed a number of bumps, and scratches on my car. Upon reviewing further, they have completely scratched up the underside of the front - seems they've curbed it. It appears that they have taken my car out, have put it in sports mode and damaged it.
I contacted the customer service line, the number on the website, after 7 times calling and being disconnected, I was connected to someone who said they were manchester airport parking. Once I explained the issue, they advised that they were not in fact manchester airport parkig and I had called the incorrect number. I asked for the correct number and they were unable to provide this. I asked for an email and the claimed that the whole of manchester airport parking do not have an email address. I was then transfered randomly without being told.
I spoke to a man that proceeded to advise me that I need to pay £60 on the phone now and he will fill out a claim form and I will be bank transfered £2000 - this was as ridiculous as it sounds and I clarified what he was saying 3 times and he confirmed this was correct. I, for obvious reasons, did not pay this and was then transfered to a superviser.
I was left on hold for a very long time and during this time I received an incoming call from the same number so I picked up and again they told me I called the wrong number and they were also unable to provide the correct number or email address - I had to go back to work at this point so I gave up.
I've since had an email from 'manchester airport parking' who have told me that the parking service is SUBCONTRACTED and because I left the car park without reporting the damage, they are not liable - they have stuck by this.
They have refused to provide the images of my vehicle that they took on entry of the car park
I'm so angry and frustrated and I hope they get found out as the scammers they are, please do not use this service, it is not worth the hassle. I now have to pay for the damage to be repaired but at this point it's the principle that someone has fully taken advantage out of my trust that they would respect my belongings.
Absolutely disgusting
Terrible airport and experience at…
Terrible airport and experience at Manchester Terminal 1
Beware lack of signs at drop off area at T1 my wife collected me at the drop off area and was issued a £100 fine which we managed to reduce to £60. For a 30 second collection in an area with no other cars - first sign sited at drop off point stating no pickup but by that stage you can’t turn around
I travel extensively and have never come across anything as bad as this money making scheme. Out of touch with the needs of the traveling population let’s hope the modernisation of the hopeless terminal 1 will help but the attitude of staff there needs to change very poor customer service rated 0 on a scale to 10
M+G operators maliciously change car settings in a 1.4 star service
I have used the Meet and Greet (M+G) service at Manchester airport several times over the year. Most of my experiences have been OK, but on several occasions, I have collected my car and found that all sorts of setting shave been changed, without due justification and, in fact, in what I believe is a small-minded and malicious manner.
when I left my car with them, there was 57.5 miles on the trip meter. When I collected it, there was about 59.5, so it had been driven to a car park for not more than a mile each way. During that time, whoever drove my car had changed nearly all of the radio station presents, duplicating several and randomly populating MY CAR's settings with a variety of junk. they had also adjusted all of the seat position settings, turned the temperature settings up to maximum, and according to the onboard trip computer, used an unexplainable amount of fuel during that short 1-mile-each-way drive.
On previous visits to the M+G, I have found that the steering column position had been changed and the air conditioning set to maximum blow at minimum temperature.
I accept that it is necessary for a driver to adjust the mirrors to safely move a car, but given the distance they are moving these cars, I question whether there is any justification to change more than this. There is absolutely NO JUSTIFICATION to change the radio station presents, or even the climate settings in the vehicle - This is simply malicious and a very poor reflection on the calibre of people employed by MAG to operate this service. Looking at other reviews on Trustpilot, this seems to be a fairly common experience.
I've had enough. This is MY car. I will not be using the M+G service again.
1.4 stars says it all .....
I booked car parking via airport…
I booked car parking via airport website and then realised i had booked wrong terminal, rang customer services straight away who basically said it was my mistake and tough.... They would not transfer my parking to the right terminal so okay i had to walk from T2 to T3 it wasn't the end of the world but what a way for a multi million pound operation to treat its customers. !
CRIMINALS
The access gate doesn't move in a straight line and damaged my car.
Owner has attempted to extort me.
Owner stole my front registration plate and tried to prevent egress.
Matter referred to police but DO NOT USE this company.
The cost to pick us up was £6.20
The cost to pick us up was £6.20. It took minutes. We were picked up from t3 pickup. This is exploiting a monopoly, and undermines the improvements that are being done to the terminals.
On return to pick my car up from T2…
On return to pick my car up from T2 meet & greet my car was damaged to the back hatch, nasty dent and long scratch to paint work, made a compliant and was told there not excepting lability because it could of been done by a 3rd party walking through the car park with there suitcase that done it, how bizarre is that. they have cameras all around that airport aswell. I want be using this meet&greet ever again
Always expensive
Always expensive
don't know who dose the pricing but always high for one week over 100£ drop off two sec 5£ and pic up 5 min 6.20£ rip off drop off and pick up should be 10 min free and weekly charge should be less as other company with better service charge well less!
Drop and Go - awful service and experience - AVOID
Used DROP AND GO service which keeps the car at the airport throughout - which I confirmed via my app. Sales spin is that the bus from drop and go and back is a 20 minute route and therefore the most you would wait on your return for the bus is 20 minutes max .
After waiting 40 minutes with plenty of Jet 2 Park buses coming and going and staff buses - no sign of the drop and go. So we then decided to get a taxi as there are also no indications of when next bus is due - and being told by a pilot sometimes the drivers can’t be bothered coming to T2 and just go back from T1!
Will definitely not be using this service again - would rather pay the extra £20 and use M&G going forward.
AWFUL SERVICE
Crap service
10/10/24 God awful service. Parked in short stay T3 while I went to Spain for 6 days (paid £69.98) flight home was delayed so went over my agreed time by 2 hrs. Refused to let me leave unless I paid £358. £358 for 2 hrs parking. Don’t know how they sleep at night
Car seat pulled off runner and all controls moved?
Collected my car 3/10/24 from Drop and Go to find a BMW had been parked so close that it was difficult to get into the drivers door, Then to find drivers seat moved so far back that it had been pulled off it's runners. (I am 6'2" and don't need to move the seat back HOW TALL IS THERE DRIVER.
All other controls played with like seat height and staring wheel settings, so had to stop at local serveries and repair seat and reset all other settings.
It is advertised that your car will not leave the site so why would anybody need to re-program the sat-nav, lights, aircon and radio?.
It is a shame that these thing happen as otherwise it is a good service and convenient.
