We looked around several stores around Surrey and different types of mattresses however we particularly impressed by ASTB Guildford, with the knowledge and expertise of the weekend manager, that we bought two ViSpring Baronet via their on line site -had delivery within a week and have had superb sleep ever since. Thank you ASTB Guildford, highly recommended.

Fantastic company who sell the most beautiful and comfortable beds. As well as this, I recently phoned them to ask for assembly instructions when I moved house, long after I bought the bed, and the friendly assistant (in Manchester I think) sent me a PDF of the instructions and told me some helpful tips over the phone. He was patient and efficient... thank you!

Please note that you may make a purchase from a local store but your future dealings will likely be with the centralised customer services. At the time of posting 45% of the Trustpilot reviews are one star. Just think about that for a moment!

I wish I had, but unfortunately I didn’t check it before I made a purchase from ASTB in Bury St Edmunds. The mattress started to sag almost immediately after delivery and has just got worse and worse. I contacted customer services, they have arranged two inspections several months apart - the second inspection at my further request.

There has been a disconnect between customer services and the inspector - the inspector didn’t know what the sagging tolerances were for the mattress in question (an Aireloom Laguna) and advised me that ASTB would know. ASTB have told me that there are no official measures for tolerances and so how they are making a decision on whether my sagging bed is in or out of tolerance, I don’t know!

Further, the tone of their customer service over email is at best curt, it is certainly not a good example of how to treat customers that have parted with hard earned money to make a significant long term investment. They appear to have no interest in working to resolve an issue and have emailed me today to advise that my case is closed, despite having not answered outstanding points.

On the mattress I bought, there was no trial and so once you have purchased you have no right of return unless the mattress is faulty. Whether a sagging mattress is faulty will be determined by reference to “tolerances” but ASTB doesn’t know or won’t tell you what those tolerances are.

It’s a risky place to make a purchase from, especially when there are many retailers that give you up to a year to trial the mattress.

In summary: this is a brand that has consistently bad reviews on Trustpilot, when things go wrong you will have to deal with a centralised customer services team that may not reflect the company you bought from in the showroom, and you could be left with an expensive mattress that is unusable.

I bought a bed from the Nottingham store, Daniel was amazingly helpful from my first question, to arranging delivery to an overseas address. The bed is fantastic, lovely design, the service over and above and answers to my many questions were super quick and helpful... 5 stars

We purchased a Vispring bed from And So To Bed in Kings Road served by the manager there Jeff Cohen. The service he gave us was excellent and we are now enjoying perfect nights sleeps on our Vispring Kingsbridge bed.

It was on my wish list to buy a bed from 'And So To Bed' for my new home for a long time as the designs are lovely. I visited the Hartley Wintney branch to come in to buy a bed. But after experiencing the most unhelpful salesperson, he left me wanting to leave and never to return. I have now purchased a luxury bed elsewhere.

I have bought a double bed from And So To Bed and cannot praise them enough. From the beginning they were helpful with swatches. Sending other suggestions of fabrics along the lines of what I had been requesting. Always quick to reply to any of my queries. Bed arrived earlier than expected - always pleasant- and arrived on the date settled on for delivery. Nicest delivery men who fitted the bed together and were thoughtful of my property. This is a premium company that I recommend.

Great customer service trying to find out why my metal bed and bed base made a noise when you sat on the bed. Turns out it was my carpet being too slippery and smooth causing the problem and castor cups duly dispatched to solve the issue. Thankyou Violetta and the 10 different men that puzzled over it and changed bolts and even tried a new frame. Thankyou for not giving up!

Truly awful customer service!
No communication about delivery’s or updates unless you chase them yourself, when I spoke to the manager he was so offhand and basically said ‘so you want to cancel’ rather than trying to resolve the fact they I had been waiting 2 months longer than agreed for my product.
Avoid and spend you money elsewhere.

We've had an awful experience with And So To Bed. They never return phone calls. They promise delivery and then cancel last minute. We haven't even received our mattress yet so I can't comment on the actual product but their customer service is so terrible I could never recommend them. You could blame it on the pandemic but we ordered our divan base from Button and Sprung and they were amazing - great communication and prompt delivery. So apparently good customer service is still possible in a pandemic.

I bought a Juniper bed from the company AND SO TO BED. The bed base is bending and this is not a cheap bed. I bought the metal base instead of the wood one as I wanted my mattress to be on top of the base and not inserted within the bed frame. They don’t any other options for bed bases. I’m really disappointed. I though they were quality. I supposed they spent a great amount of money on marketing rather than investing in quality bed bases. Wrong! We have to sleep on this beds! They are not just a decorative object.

As a company your staff are your advert. If they dont take covid safety seriously then one questions your company policy.

Bought a Pimlico Bed around three years ago (they don't make them anymore due to so many faults). Bearing in mind this particular bed cost £3500 odd before I start the story. Had them called back a few times as floating cross section underneath would keep giving way, also the divans were not big enough for the bed I later found out from another repair company. In the end had to have feet made for the cross sections by another firm (Furni-Tech)- who I can highly recommend.

The rigmarole I have had in trying to get ASTB out the few times it broke over the last couple of years was painful to say the least. Warehouse never picking up or calling back etc.

Overall for the price, the service is shocking all round. Also bought two bedside drawers which were really expensive, they have both chipped and already look tatty.

The call outs for repair were free but think some sort of recompense should have been in order, seeing as I eventually gave up with them and called another private repair company.

Something to be said of the Kings Road bespoke pricing system, as I bought a sofa from a nearby shop that's now faulty too- all within three years. I won't be fooled again thinking dearer means better!

Go to John Lewis, never any issues and if there are ever any, it's resolved so smoothly.

Ordered a tempur mattress from and so to bed. Excellent communication and customer service from them throughout. Joe & John delivered and were professional and very helpful - they even helped to put together our flat pack bed which furniture village had messed up and didn’t have all the parts. Thank you again for all your help - 100% would recommend.

Quality and comfort . I love my bed and so does my children and guests who is lucky enough to sleep in one.

I got the Tempur Ardennes headboard and double bed and it’s honest amazing. I had ordered them separately because at first I only wanted a headboard in grey. A week later I decided to get the bed too but wanted to change the colour option of the headboard so that it matched the base. ASTB sorted it for me asap. I believe it was Adam. So helpful. Very happy. AND.. it arrived earlier than anticipated

Courteous and efficient delivery especially during these times of uncertainty. I couldn’t fault the delivery team when they installed our new bed.
