Efficient and convenient
Very happy with all aspects of our car hire. Online booking process was clear and worked well. Collecting the keys at the airport was quick and straightforward - from a key box - beats the queues at the car hire desks. The car was as expected and in good condition. The return process was easy (key drop box). The refund of the deposit was quick. All in all, what’s not to like?!

Easy pick-up, easy drop-off.
On arrival in the airport I quickly got the key from a keybox, and on departure I just parked the car and dropped off the keys in a dropbox. Couldn't be any easier. This is the second time I've used Arctic, and I would definitely use them again.

Good overall despite miscommunication.

After posting a poor review, I got the right attention from the company. They apologized and said that the problem was the car agency from the damaged car(not ours), who wasn't responding and providing a valid damage receipt. Fair enough.
Still this issue took way too long to be resolved and in the meantime our full deposit was withheld for 5 months.

Fint med keybox så man kan hente nøgle…
Fint med keybox så man kan hente nøgle uden at noget person er tilstede. Tilsvarende kan man aflevere bilnøglen igen i en keybox.
Arctic Rental Cars har også et kontor bagest i bygningen med Car Rental.
Vi fik en Honda Jazz Hybrid. Den bruger lidt benzin, og oplagrer batteriet på turene nedad bjerge.
Jeg kan absolut anbefale at leje bil hos Arctic Rental Cars.
Fint med depositum, så de tager sig af betaling for brug af undervandstunnellerne på Færøerne.

Smooth as silk!
Everything worked out very good! I filled in all information in advance, and was able to use to "pickup"-box at the airport. The car was easy to find, it was clean and in good condition. Arrival was even more smoother - parked the car outside the car-rentals, dropped the key in the keydrop. Easy and very convenient! I had a nice stay at Faroe Islands, and the rental-car certanly was indeed a good experience! :)

Alt gik smertefrit og alt i alt en god oplevelse
Alt gik smertefrit og alt i alt en god oplevelse.
Lidt rod i beregning af tunnelafgifter men dette blev rettet med det samme.
Jeg kunne godt ønske mig at jeg fik en kvittering på afleveringen af bilen relativt hurtigt efter afleveringen. Jeg måtte kontakte Arctic efter en uge for at høre om de overhoved havde registreret at jeg havde leveret bilen tilbage.
Vi må se hvor lang tid det tager for at depositummet kommer retur til min konto. UPDATE: Depositum minus tunnel afgifter var retur på min konto dagen efter jeg modtog opgørelsen. :)
Det er på tide at GPS er inkluderet i billejen. I disse tider med GPS på mobilen giver det ikke mening at tilbyde dette som en ekstra service.

Manglende depositum retur
En ellers gnidningsfri oplevelse, indtil at jeg skal modtage mit depositum retur.
Det er lidt over en måned siden at bilen blev booket, og tre uger siden vi afleverede den retur, og jeg mangler stadig indbetalte depositum retur. På trods af henvendelser til Arctic, er det ikke lykkedes mig at høre fra dem angående depositum, hvilket er meget foruroligende.
Jeg håber ikke at de falder under den klassiske biludlejnings oplevelse.. Opdateres løbende.
Depositum blev modtaget retur, 4 måneder efter bilen returneret.

Som du nævner i din anmeldelse, gik der 2 måneder og 6 dage fra bilen blev indleveret til du fik tilbagebetalt depositum. Vi er helt enige i, at dette er alt for lang tid. Vores mål er at betale depositum retur inden for 5 dage, og vi vil gerne undskylde, at dette ikke skete i dit tilfælde.
I den periode, hvor du lejede bilen, var vi udfordret af pandemien, og det har desværre haft indflydelse på vores arbejdsprocesser. Dette er dog ikke en undskyldning for ikke at leve op til vores egne procedurer og forventningerne fra vores kunder.

Very quick to respond to email
We had to cancel our trip so I have not experienced getting the car handed over. This review is about communication with the company – which I will give the 4 stars for.
I contacted them by email in start November 2020 to hear if winter tires were include on their rental in late December. Already the next day I received the answer that they are included. Base in this I booked a group B + - Honda Civic or similar for 6 days over the New Year.
Unfortunately the Covid19 situation change dramatic in Copenhagen so very late evening the day before Christmas, I had to write them an e-mail that we had to cancel our reservation. This is 4 days before pickup. To my very positive surprise I received a personal confirmation email within one hour (this is December 23rd around 10pm). Refund was deposited my bank account already 3 days after.
It was a very reassuring experience that I got my money back so quickly when you consider that it is between Christmas and New Year, and that they write that it can take up to 14 days.
Overall a 4 star experience and I will not hesitate to book a car from them again.
The reason why I only give them 3 star review is the cancelation fee of DKK 500. I think it is too high a fee. In my case the cancellation fee was almost 24% of the total rental price. If I have rented a smaller car in a shorter period the cancelation fee could easily end up to mere more the 50% of the total rental.
When that said, it was not a surprised because it is clearly stated in the rental terms.
However, if a cancelation fee is really necessary it would be more fair to say 10% of total rental or the cost of 1 day rental.

God service!
Vi havde lejet bil og blev opgraderet. En god bil - Honda Civic med automatgear - som var fremragende på øernes mange stigninger.
Desværre havde jeg misforstået vedr. betalingen for brug af tunnellerne under havet, så jeg betalte direkte til tunnelselskabet. Da jeg fik regningen fra Arctic Cars var der 2 ture på fakturaen. Jeg gjorde opmærksom på, at jeg kun havde taget en tur og den havde jeg betalt direkte. Næste dag var pengene retur.
Det oplever man ikke altid - faktisk sjældent - med udlejningsselskaber verden over. Godt gået!

We CAN truly recommend...
We hires a car directly from Arctic Car's (Faroe Islands) own web page, and booked a car for 4 days.
All 'paperwork' was done up front, and extra driver was for free. They charge a DEPOSIT of 200 euros, up front.
Tip: Add the sea-sub-tunnel pass, it's good value for money.
Confirmation came instantly, and all worked fine.
On the day of arrival, we got an email with the code for the key-box in the airport's Car Rental Center (out of the airport to the right).
Unfortunately it didn't work, but a press on the help bottom connected us to Arctic Car straight away, and they came down and delivered the car - dripping clean.
The car was just handed over, without any paperwork needed to be done.
There was a small damage on the car, which we took a photo of, and emailed it to Arctic Car (unfortunately they never replayed to this email, but it later turned out, that it was NO PROBLEM).
The car was 'bigger and better' than the car we booked - no complaints about that :-)
We delivered the car back, with full tank and in same condition as we got it, at P4 Parking at the Airport as told, and send an email to Arctic car, that the car was parked, and the key was dropped in the ked-drop-bog, exactly the same place, where key-collect is.
After a few days we got an email return, said that all was fine, and the deposit was returned in full.
SO, we can truly RECOMMEND ARCTIC CAR on the Faroe Islands.
