The concept is simple, picture a ski resort, remove the snow and replace the pistes with an array of sweeping flowy bike trails meandering to the bottom of the mountain and you are close. Add a bunch of adrenalin and big sprinkle of fun and you are pretty much there. BikePark Wales is an exhilarating way to spend your day in the Welsh mountains.

Superb day out, the trails are fantastic, thrrws absolutely loads of them and the uplift service is excellent.
Everything else on site is top notch other than the burgers. Loads of lumps of gristle. At £15 a pop they could be using much better meat than that.
One of our group needed a bit of first aid after an off and again the staff were fantastic.
Must easily be the biggest trail centre in the UK there's something for absolutely everyone. Just watch the trail gradings because some of the reds are pretty tough compared to reds at other centres - gap jumps etc. Feels.more like how they grade the trails in the Alps so dont get too confident and overcook it.
Amazing facilities, great food in the cafe and best of all a huge range of trails suitable for all skill levels.
Absolutely mint 🤘 both of us smashed 10 runs and weather was perfect. Cues ran very fast and all staff very helpful and kind. Shops, food, rest areas were all 10/10

We arrived at the park just after 9 and signed on to head to the runs. Unfortunately, before we could start, my son’s derailleur broke through the wheel and snapped a spoke.
I took the wheel to the bike shop there just after 10 (which was empty) They offered to replace the spoke, but they didn’t have the derailleur I needed. So I drove into Cardiff and managed to get one.
I managed to find one and get the derailleur fitted. I then returned to the shop to collect the wheel just after 1, but they hadn’t even started working on it. I was told I’d have to wait another 45 minutes as they were busy.
This really poor service meant I wasted £60 on a lift pass.
Unless you’re a regular or have one of there bikes I think the service you get from that shop will be poor.
Thanks very much, Bike Park Wales. It made our 200-mile drive and first visit really worthwhile.
REPLYING to Bike park Wales response from 9/8/27 @ 4pm
What your shop staff have told you is absolute lies. I told them I would go out and get a part while they fitted the spoke, I wouldn’t have done an hour and a half trip to get the parts if I thought they weren’t going to do the job. Plus the bike shop I went to would have done the spoke for a fraction of the price while I waited had I known When came back at gone one o clock and questioned the guy at the counter his response was they hadn’t had a chance as they’d been flat out (not what you’ve said at all), at that point I pointed out the shop was empty when I dropped the wheel in.
Maybe check your records and see when they really did get busy.
Good to know your shop staff lie as well as prioritise regulars and hire bike.
I will now be placing an official complaint based on your service and reply.

An absolute incredible park, every type of trail for all levels of rider, considering the weather and amount of traffic on the trails they are in great shape.
Although a small fortune was spent on food and drink, the food was excellent and I’d say well worth the money, staff were great too.
My only small gripe would be the hydration situation, you can get tiny cans of pops which don’t hydrate, tons of types that gives you wings, again doesn’t hydrate, they do have tiny cans of spring and sparkling water, on a 25-27 degree day I’d liked to have been able to buy litres of water to hydrate, not a small fortune for a tiny can, seems like lost revenue to.

Rode both on a Monday and Thursday this visit (school holidays) and was disappointed that we had to keep waiting for an uplift bus to arrive. Not previously experienced this, always been buses available. Clearly weren’t enough being used and meant only able to get about 6 runs in compared to usual 10.
Need to build bigger berms on the trails, especially the blue trails.
The staff are great, friendly, helpful. Food is good. My son was chuffed to be able to complete and tick off Vanta.

Not our first visit, certainly not our last. Had a brilliant couple of days at BPW cant really fault any of it.

Great bike park. Been many times but still really enjoy it. Uplift staff are super helpful in getting the bikes onto the uplift. One of our party had an off and needed medical treatment and the medic there was fantastic. Highly recommend it. Trails are great and so are the staff.

First visit here with my son and what an amazing place this is. Check in was quick and easy and also hired full face helmets and body armour for me (as I'm 56 and nowhere near as competent as my son), this was all good quality fox gear. Food was good, all staff very friendly and helpful. As it was our first time, and my bike confidence wasn't great, we did kermit first, as recommended, before progressing to do most of the blues. Uplift was very efficient. All the runs are amazing and my confidence increased as the day went on. We were both knackered by the end of the day but have already booked to return next week to finish the blues and maybe have a go at some reds. Great day 👍

We hired bikes from BPW, the guys who set us up & we dropped back to was great, the E-bike I was given was also easy to ride & boost worked well!
We rode up to the top the first time, there were a few challenging parts for a not so confident rider, so we got the shuttle the next time which made all the difference! I only stuck to the Kermit trail as a beginner & it was wonderful, there were freshly graded tracks part way through which were bliss to ride & the scenery riding through the trees was spectacular, definitely worth it & made a great day for some Aussie visitors!

Attended with 2 children aged 10 and 11. The process was very easy and the organisation is excellent. Last time I visited was over 10 years ago and it is much better now.
Excellent maps, signage, transport (hardly any waiting), staff were very friendly.
One of the children had a little crash and has to use first aid, they were excellent as well and very reassuring for the child. Who did in fact get back on his bike and rode a few more runs (for his ability).
Cafe was reasonably prices, great they had a kiosk outside as well for drinks (less queuing).
Quite an expensive day out, but definitely worth it (travelled about an hour).

Ticket to Ride experience is the perfect option for anyone wanting to get the most out of their beginner down hill riding experience. Colin,
Our instructor went over and above to make us feel safe and confident.
Don’t take a cheaper option thinking you’ll do your own thing, even if you’re a regular cyclist and don't under estimate the skills needed to keep safe and have fun.
I would really like to try the Ladies day at some point.
Food was great too, I had a salad
Bowl.
All in all an amazing day was had by all 5 of us.

Fabulous venue. Some challenges and exciting trails, suitable for all abilities. The uplift teams are all fantastic, they all thoroughly enjoy their roles and show that BPW are an excellent company to work for. A thoroughly enjoyable few days. To quote that Austrian lad - I'll be back!

excellent experience, I was extremely nervous going into this, in my 40s with zero prior experience, but Colin did a great job at making sure everyone in the group, including our family (mixed ability and varying confidence) had a fantastic time. I highly recommend this.

It a great day out but I did have a axe to grind on my last visit. I get gifted a voucher each year at Xmas and spend it on uplift. Last year I broke my arm so had to cancel my booking.
Firstly BPW take a hefty percentage of a cancellation as a refund fee.
Secondly, the refunded amount expires after 12 months from the original purchase date. So I ended up losing the £60 worth of voucher.
I think this is pretty unfair. They shouldn't treat their customers like this when this sort of thing happens.
Will I stop going? No. As I said it's a great day out I do each year with my mates. But I'll be telling the in-laws not to buy a voucher and after being treated in this way I won't spend in their cafe or get lunch as I usually do.
Look after your loyal customer bpw!

Been to BPW many times before and decided to hire Trek Sessions for both myself and son as we had other bikes in the car. Reception and booking in process was smooth, friendly and efficient. Moved onto the hire bike area and were sorted out with the two Trek Session bikes. Both bikes looked extremely well used, dirty nothing like the hire pictures on the website but wasn’t expecting them to be perfect. My son’s bike handle bar grips had parts missing and credit to the guy organising the hire he had them changed for new ones. The guy set up the suspension air volume in both and off we went to the uplift. The uplift was efficient and staff friendly as always. To warm up and test the bikes both of us went down a blue run. My son mentioned the gears on his bike were snatching and hard to get into gear. I noticed on my bike that the right side brake lever was loose and the bolt not tighten up and the left lever was a totally different angle and seat was sticking out to the right. . As we had tools in my car I tightened up the loose bolt adjusted the other lever and put the seat back to straight. Second uplift and red run noticed my rear suspension was close to bottoming out and Boxer forks were awful at low and high speed hits. Adjusted the air pressure sag with a pump and went back up for another run. After 30 plus years mountain biking my conclusion is the forks needed a full service or scrapped. Towards end of the day we swapped bikes and I was amazed at the difference in fork performance on his and enjoyed a good run down even if the gears were out and hard to select. My sons on my bike crashed on his run down and had cuts and bruises. He exact words when he got back down was the forks are shit and shot on this bike. We returned the bikes back the guy who hired them out to us and mentioned my bikes issues and to seemed totally non interested and took the bike back and walked off. I mentioned my experience of the guy and bike to someone in reception and left. To give BPW credit a hire manager tracked us down and asked for feedback. Explained everything we had experienced. He was friendly and explained they had few Trek Session bikes for hire and it was difficult to maintain them during peak and apologised. He said if I had taken my bike back he would have swapped the fork for a different one in fifteen minutes. After a further discussion he did refund half the price of the bike hire and we left. My question to him was were the bikes even checked and even test run to see if they were performing to manufacturers standards. He again said it was hard with the few bikes they had to keep up with things. He even advised us to hire a different bike next time. We have owned and ridden Demos, Furys and other bikes so wanted a downhill bike.
So to sum up our experience…superb uplift, trails as always. But when you hire a bike don’t expect anything remotely like the advertised website hire pictures or descriptions. Yes it won’t be a new bike but a tired, extremely well used faulty bike. Check the bike for faults before going out on a run and don’t assume they have been checked by the hire guys. If you have a problem send it back. Expect an extremely well used, tired with mechanic issue bikes and maintenance not up to date. Was it worth £99 to hire the bike, I would say if they were in reasonable shape yes but in their current condition no. As BPW is sponsored by Trek and Rockshox it’s not a great advert for them and would put me off buying! Guess next time will just bring our own bikes…
