The concept is simple, picture a ski resort, remove the snow and replace the pistes with an array of sweeping flowy bike trails meandering to the bottom of the mountain and you are close. Down hill heaven
I've been riding mtb for decades, however I live in the Chilterns so most of my riding has been all mountain/ cross country our local bike park closed 6 years ago and I've been to others within a 40 mile radius, that said I had the best day on a bike at bpw the trails are superb and all of the team were so friendly and helpful i will definitely be a returning rider and would highly recommend it to others.

Great place, fully recommended
Went on a Thursday. The place is awesome. A private Welsh mountain full of well maintained and technically challenging courses for all abilities, a riders dream! Facilities on site were first class, perhaps not particularly cheap in the cafe but you’re not going there for the food. Great picnic/rest area for a packed lunch and resting. Free CamelBak water station for refills all day. One rider in the party had an off, injured a hand and the on site medical were a great help.
Uplifts were always coming and going, the drivers professional and obviously care for the human and 2 wheeled cargo. Definitely worth it.
I can imagine it getting very busy on weekends; parking might be a struggle on peak days but after the initial morning rush it all calms down.
Don’t hesitate to go, just be aware of your limits, the red and blacks are serious trials!

Very efficiently ran. With somewhat near 50 trails you barely see a sole on the track in front of you. Food, shop, staff all 10/10, trails 11/10.

We had a great day at BikePark Wales
We had a great day at BikePark Wales. I think the new trail grading of the blue and red tech trails works well for people like me who are progressing to riding more difficult technical features. Staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly on the uplifts.
In the cafe, the current menu doesn't suit me well. I'd like to see more choice of food that can be turned around quickly - like normal sandwiches (instead of or as well as wraps) and jacket potatoes with fillings.

This was our first trip
This was our first trip. Absolutely fantastic. Loved the mix of trails, and the grading is amazing. When they say it's a red trail they really mean it.
Even though we were there on a busy weekend the uplift ran really smoothly, we either didn't wait, or waited a maximum of a few minutes. No traffic on the trails at all as there are so many of them, and people spread out accordingly.

Great time on a heatwave weekender…
Booked uplift for the weekend sat and Sunday. It was really busy but you could see it was organised, plenty of uplifts and not much waiting.
Staff we're really friendly despite being busy and in a heatwave.
Excellent park, trails and staff. Can't ask for more.

We love it!
We’ve been coming here every year for our annual team mountain bike break since the park opened in 2013…and we love it, we’ve sometimes visited more than once in a year. The network of trails has continued to grow offering something for all skill levels, as have the facilities on site. Great friendly crew working there and the food is on point. Always look forward to our next visit! Keep up the fantastic work!

As a novice I was very impressed with the whole set up from the hiring of the equipment to the runs. You are looked after through the whole experience.
I recommend the uplift by van to the top.
The instructor Colin was very good at putting us all at ease and his instruction and expertise was very good. I had a great day, highly recommended

Bike park wales first timer experience
The park whilst is well run some of the runs need to be better sign posted as you can very easily end up on a wrong trail especially if your a beginner.. the yellow run to ride up is not easy to follow..
I would say the park is more designed for endurance rather than down hill as many of the trails also include uphill peddling sections

We're glad to hear you found the park well run overall.
As a first-time visitor, we completely understand that navigating a large trail network can take a little getting used to. We do our best to provide clear signage throughout the park, alongside trail maps, information boards and live trail information online, but we'll take your comments on board regarding the climb route and trail junctions 👍
On the pedalling sections, that's very much part of the BPW experience. While many of our trails are gravity-focused, our mountain terrain means some trails naturally include flatter or uphill linking sections. This allows us to create longer, more varied descents and make the most of the available landscape 👊
We appreciate the feedback and hope that, with a bit more familiarity, your next visit will be even smoother.

Not sure why I waited 3 years to come…
Not sure why I waited 3 years to come back, had an awesome day! We had hired bikes and each time we.came back with a minor niggle the staff went above and beyond to male sure we were back up sharpish! Great food, great drinks, excellent atmosphere and best of all fantastic and well maintained trails!! We will be back very soon, thank you BPW!
