My new Brennan B3+ gets a definite 5 from me but I do have a caveat to this that I shall mention later. I love the product itself and once I got into the mechanics of how it works it has been real fun ripping my CDs'. So far I have done about 200 CDs' in less than a week and if I could describe the exact machine onto which I wanted to get all of my CD collection in one place, easily accessible and with the ability to create my own playlists the Brennan B3+ would be as close as possible to my ideal. I had seen other reviews about lack of documentation and general support for the product but they turned out not to be a problem. Firstly I would recommend the Ray Dion Youtube videos on the product (the "Brennan B3 WebUI Description" video is marvellous for a beginner like me) and, having looked at the Brennan User Forum there appears to be tremendous help there. I have come across a few minor niggles with the software (e.g. certain characters are not accepted when editing track and CD names and the scroll bars can be a little temperamental) but I really like the product. As for the caveat that I mentioned; as time goes by how long will the CD remain mainstream and so can I trust that there will be real support for this type of product for many years to come. (My grandson laughs at me for using CDs' to listen to music!) So, if things go wrong in the future, will my large Brennan CD database and music files survive or will I end up with a stack of standalone CDs' once again?

Well, my B3+ is an outstanding piece of kit.
But....
I needed a fair amount of support to overcome issues.....
All issues were solved by stabilising Internet access.
Poor WiFi signal was the route of everything that went wrong.
Once solved by going the Ethernet way, everything was fine.
The B3 itself is fantastic, and the sound is very very good.

But a little more precise information from Brennan on the importance of Internet stability would be recommended. Without the support forum made up of Brennan owners mostly, I'd be struggling thinking the unit was faulty.

The first day I received the Unit there was a sound problem, I contacted Brennan and the issue was sorted very fast. I love the unit now. Highly recommend it

Overall the service from Brennan has been good ( I did approach them prior to my purchase to clarify some issues on speakers etc). Im somewhat of non techno so If I have some points to raise I would say that the 'instructions" are somewhat sparse - good old internet helped me through. Still finding my way but so far so good. The Sonos speakers I have paired provide a good sound - Era 100 , loud enough for me but some others may prefer something more dominant.

Loving it, do convenient and I’m discovering music I forgot I even owned; all at the touch of a button.

Can’t praise my B3 highly enough.

After a few weeks trying to set up and play cd’s not working properly. I do not seem to have the level of computers/audio knowledge to get it to work. Initial instructions seemed to be easy but did not get the screens as suggested. Looking at help groups has not helped. Tried resetting still same problems of stoppin before track completed. Only playing one track when album requested . Will keep trying.

A good upgrade from the Brennan B2. A dedicated line out would have been useful rather than the headphone/ line out which acts as a variable output. A remote as supplied with the B2 would be useful as a backup. The whistling/ winening noise eventually sorted out by turning off the power amps.Finally why a delivery charge when most others offer free next day delivery over £50.

Difficult to set up B3 but it turned out to be a faulty machine that had to be returned. This was an easy process and the replacement was back with me within the week. The new machine once I'd set it up is a fantastic addition to my sound world. It works very well from the App on my Mac and uploading 2000 CDs from a USB didn't take very long. Tip - format the USB using the Brennan facility. I also found that using AI to guide me through the setup was invaluable (Perplexity)

I just spent nearly £800 on a Brennan B3+ and I have to say that I am extremely disappointed with it. The controls for the unit are (of course) via an app, which is worse than useless. The only way to adjust basic functions like the Base & Treble output is by using a laptop and logging into the units IP address, also every time the unit is switched off you have to manually reconnect the bluetooth, absolutely ridiculous. There is no telephone contact for customer service and the online customer forum is full of patronising smart ar$e IT nerds. I would not recommend this company or the product, it is ridiculously non user friendly and the company have no interest in resolving issues or any sort of customer service function

Brilliant piece of kit, all tracks and artists found instantly, got empty cd shelves now.

This is clearly the worst piece of hardware I have ever purchased. After ripping 8 CDs the system can no longer find titles for any further brand new discs I submit and furthermore there is a very high pitched sound coming from the unit which I absolutely cannot stand, therefore I have had to unplug it. The website has no link to contact the company directly, just go rounds for the knowledge base and self help. Why oh why did I wadte my money.

Excellent product. Delighted that I purchased it.
The Brennan an B3+ is just what I had been looking for. Ripping CDs and cataloguing them is so simple. The album art and track listing is effective, 120 CDs ripped so far and only 4 needed adjustment. This was easy with the Web UI tool.
The Brennan works well and I found it easy to set up and use. The startup guide is good to get you going. After that articles on the users forum are very useful. There seems to be a lot of help available there and is a good place to look for solutions if you need them.
The quality of the software and engineering that had gone into the B3+ is pleasing. My only wish would be that the rotary encoder was higher quality, however, it is satisfactory. The buttons have a nice tactile feel. The colour screen is lovely and very pleasing. CD drive is fast. The menu structures of the operating software are quite intuitive when you have studied them. And as previously mentioned the user forum I feel sure would swiftly help if any issues arise.
The additional outputs on the B3+ are useful to me as I use the Toslink optical output to connect to my TAGA hifi kit. This setup gives me pleasing audio output.

A well thought out product with great backup.

Well pleased with the Brennan I bought plus some good music still on it, bonus,
I will upgrade later.

Amanda and Paul bent over backwards to be helpful
and accommodating during the whole process.

Not only do Brennan supply spares for their products, they are very fairly priced.
What other company has this level of service?!
