AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! Do not buy products from breville. 2 failed coffee machines in 3 years. No warranty and they won’t repair. I’ve been left with a £450 broken machine which I can’t do anything with. Breville said I could buy a new one through them… helpful.

Hotcup Tastes terrible! this is our 3rd hot cup machine and we have been using them for over 10 years, BUT.. our new one is terrible and has a strong metallic/plastic taste to the water which is undrinkable. After 4 months of boiling water and throwing it out to try and condition it, its still so bad. I contacted customer services 10 days ago and have heard nothing at all. Avoid!
Bought a Breville one cup from Asda
Bought a Breville one cup from Asda. Nice price. I have had this for around 6 months. Works great for one cup at a time. A narrow aperture to fill with water into, which is a disappointment, it could be wider. The big disappointment is that it has started to leak at the very bottom where the handle is, and directly above the power cord inlet on the base. A major safety issue waiting to happen. It now goes in the bin. I won't be buying another. Beware if you consider the Breville one Cup.
I thought I was purchasing a reliable product.
Purchased this toaster Breville Bold on 10/7/2025. Recently, would not latch down.Still under the 1 year warranty. Filled in the warranty claim form as per instructions and pressed submit. Resonded with "error, please try again' or words similar. No reason given for the error. filled in the claim form again, carefully checking the answers. Same result. Again no explanation. Decided eventually to opt for a reliable brand. Would not recommend this company or its back up procedures.
Fabulous smoothie maker
Fabulous smoothie maker. Read up on loads but didn’t want to spend loads of money. Bought the Breville Blend Active - which is simple, just the right size for a single drink, very easy to rinse out under the tap and I am delighted with it.
Breville Hot Water Dispensers - Poor Quality and Customer Service
In recent years I have purchased 2 Breville Hot Cup Hot Water Dispensers and both have failed because of a spring on the lid and my latest one has also developed a problem where it boils twice.
Obviously, this problem can be dangerous as if you are not there to switch it off - it can cause the contents to spill over.
I did report it to Breville UK and they responded saying that the springs cannot be purchased and that they could offer me a 20% discount on the full manufacturers price for a new appliance.
Clearly, Breville are not interested in product quality or customer service and if you read other reviews you can see how many have failed due to the spring on the lid.
If you are considering purchasing a Breville product - just read the reviews before you do and don't be surprised if it fails and that there is very little customer service when it does.
Poor quality
Within a week of buying the Breville Smoothie two of the bottle lids broke. They happily accepted the code on the machine as proof the machine was under guarantee. They even sent further replacement bottles. However, the machine did not last much longer than the bottle lids and they now refuse to replace as they say it is not under guarantee. In total we owned the machine 8 months. Unfortunately I did not keep the Sainsbury’s receipt.
Breville grey Zen 4 slice…
Bought a Breville grey zen 4 slice toaster from Amazon in January 2025. It has only lasted 9 months as the right hand section is not working at all.
Our purchase from Amazon was to actually replace the same model toaster that I had bought from Lidl - with a matching kettle. The Lidl's purchase developed the same fault exactly but only after a few months. Lidle gave me a refund immediately without any fuss.
Having had a Breville toaster for many years before the purchase of the two grey modern toasters, we have been so disappointed to have had the same fault exactly in both of them.
I am now going to have to speak to Amazon to see if I can get a refund or a replacement as there is obviously an inherent fault with this model of toaster.
Very poor customer support – disappointing experience with Breville
I deeply regret purchasing a Breville coffee machine. When a minor issue occurred, I tried to obtain a replacement part, but was told that spare parts were not provided. Instead, I was forced into accepting a limited-time 40% discount on a new unit — without being given any flexibility on how or where to purchase it.
Jakub from customer service was extremely unhelpful and showed no willingness to find a fair solution. I explained that I initially bought the machine from Currys due to flexible installment options, and that paying £300 upfront directly to Breville was not possible for me. But this was completely ignored.
Even worse, the 40% discount was not accompanied by a coupon or reference number — and suddenly I was told the offer expired. No notice. No warning. Just a cold “it’s too late” message. The whole interaction felt like Breville wanted to shift the problem rather than solve it.
Breville does not stand behind its products, nor does it respect its customers. I expected better from a well-known brand. Sadly, I will not be purchasing anything from them again and I urge others to consider their lack of after-sales support before buying.

I tried to leave a very review of the new Breville Sandwich Toaster that I bought, both of my reviews were rejected by the company. Now I wonder why they wouldn’t allow a completely honest review of my experience, I’ve listed the review
Important Please Read
In the market for a Toasted Sandwich maker, like a deep filling, you would be attracted to this machine, after all Breville have been making these for quite some time so it should be a safe bet. Well it's not, it has a massive design flaw. You can remove the hot plates for ease of cleaning but that's when you find out the fundamental flaw. As it doesn't seal very well when the filling gets hot it leaks, the removable hot plates are not sealed so all the liquid/cheese/filling seeps under the lower plate and onto the heating element, it burns, it gets stuck, it's a nightmare to clean. You will spend far longer cleaning this device than any fixed hot plate toaster. It's too late for me, l've bought the stupidly thought out toaster. I do find it amazing that such a design flaw ever got into production.
Zero stars if I could
Zero stars if I could. I was given a brand-new water boiler and after a few uses I accidentally switched it on without water in it. It did not cut out as I might have expected, but evidently heated to the extent that it fused internally instead making it unusable. On contacting Breville, they told me that it was made five years ago so they wash their hands of it - zero customer service for this appliance, but I was offered 10% reduction on a new one (which they can shove - as if I would spend money with such a company!). Absolutely disgusted with this 'throw-away' attitude and I recommend avoiding this company in future if you appreciate proper old-fashioned service. You won't get it from Breville.
Really leaky iron
I bought a Breville iron in June and if you select the steam setting it just soaks your clothes with water which leaks out of the sole plate & the reservoir.

It is the worst iron I have ever bought !

Breville awful company and worse customer service
DO NOT BUY from this company! I have a £400 breville barista max machine, that the 50p silicone gasket that seals the water tank to the machine has split making water run straight out of the tank. In the instructions it says call customer service to order replacement parts. I had the unpleasant experience of talking to Jacob who was bordering on rude and his only statement was that breville do not sell spare gaskets for their machines. That in itself is ridiculous to throw away a £400 machine for a 50p gasket which must be one of the common issues as it is stretched every time the machine is filled with water is quite frankly the sign of a company that does not care about its customers.

Bought Barista max pro from currys,I voiced my concerns abut this product with no solution from the shop and then again with breville,the Machine worked sufficiently for about 6 months and again i reached out to both breville and currys about the machine not being fit for purpose the burrs were now not working and machine was 2months out of warranty .Now i have a machine that cost 550 euro and broken grinder
Bought a Breville halo flexi air fryer…
Bought a Breville halo flexi air fryer 28th July, unpacked and found a perfect location followed all instructions to the letter, looking forward to some airfried food, unfortunately it would not start, tried everything, my wife and daughter tried to make it start.... no joy.
Always believed Breville to be a good value quality product.... not anymore

The breville one cup has given me an ELECTRIC SHOCK!!!
I previously phoned breville to complain that after 10 months use this machine occasionally has an electrical buzzing noise. The man I spoke to told me to video it happening!
Ludicrous I thought. Used it twice more and when I pressed the button to heat the water I received a hek of an ELECTRIC SHOCK!
