Great experience
Great experience actually. Was worried at first because it was starting to get to 3 months since its shipped but I did choose the parcel method which does take 2-3 months. Their customer service is good as they respond quite fast to answer my tracking questions. It came home with no damages and in good condition.

I was reading all bad reviews awaiting for my first package to arrive.Got it all worried and here I go amp arrived nicely packaged and no damage.Agree on charges a bit to expensive but if someone knows alternative let me know.
Terrible customer service and price gouging.
Previously we provided a positive review from Buyee (they credited our account 500 yen to do so--paid for reviews are what you are largely seeing on this site). All was good until we encountered some difficulties. The first concern was several overcharges on domestic shipping, sometimes as much as 1100 yen (11.00 usd). this was corrected, however it took several dozen e-mails to show them that they were making mistakes (they initially would not admit to this). Next. We requested consolidate packaging. Rather than remove the domestic shipping materials and place the items (watches) into an appropriate size box, Buyee threw the items in existing excessive packaging into an oversized box that would have been appropriate for a two pairs of Shaquille O'Neal's Basketball shoes. This require us to use a more expensive shipping service (EMS) as a result. We asked them to use a smaller box. They refused saying we don't have small boxes. (what kind of a shipping forwarding service does not have an inventory of different sized boxes). After more e-mailing, they finally said they could provide a small box but that this box would cost 500 yen (5.00 USD). We ship watches internationally in sturdy corrugated e-commerce boxes. These cost 16 cents (USD). The bottom line is that Buyee is unwilling to meet the needs of its customers--users beware.
Scam
Sent package which was apparently returned to Japan and they tried to get me to pay for it again, Australia post tracking has it sitting at the post office. Scam stay away.
They steal your money
They steal your money, take care. I have bought over 100 products with them, and they have never paid me a single insurance when a problem comes. Last time all the products arrived here with packages totally broke and with electronic components that does not work, and with that they said me that they do not cover electronic damages, but they allow you to pay for electronic products insurance when you buy them. A lot of more excuses given to me when products came in worst conditions. Aditionally just release that they just work with EMS, Japan Post and DHL (EMS and Japan Post have delays of over 2 months, and DHL have made me paid an over 80 euros administration fee in order to pay 80 euros taxes, what made me pay 160 euros for a 80 euros order). A lot of orders arrives totally broken, you have two other companies out there at least (Neokyo and Zenmarket) that take care of that, so if you think this is your only option, please, take a look of other companies service, that both also allow you to send with FedEX (18,55 euros administration fee).
Stay away from these cheated site
Stay away from these cheated site. A lot of hidden cost, Unreasonable high charges. Combine shipping is a SCAM! Combine shipping suppose to save money but at buyee consolidation for package is more expensive. Totally unacceptable.
Never again.
Bought a lot of anime goods for $8, and made the mistake of paying Buyee to "consolidate" the package. Later I got charged $20 for shipping, which seemed high but I figured it was related to Covid. So, I bit the bullet and paid roughly $34 total.
This was in July. I waited patiently, expecting a delay due to Covid. Fast forward to October, Buyee contacts me and says the package was sent back to them. They said they'd contact the post office to "determine why the package was returned to us". I emailed them, asking what was going on. No reply. Then I get another email, telling me to pay $20 to ship it again or, if a month passes, I'll be charged a "holding fee"...
Obviously, I don't trust them to ship it again because I don't even know why the package was returned to them in the first place. The package never even reached my state, and the address I provided them was correct (checked it 3x).
I asked if I could please be refunded for the items, as they are now keeping them. They refused. Spoke to a few other Buyee customers on MyFigureCollection (or victims, rather) with stories far worse than mine. I'm talking hundreds, thousands of dollars lost.
Overall, this has been a nightmare and a complete waste of time. I will never use this service again. The lack of communication is ridiculous and their methods are sketchy at best. I'm just grateful I didn't buy something more expensive. Avoid at all costs.
Deceitful and fraudulent
Shopping with Buyee was a nightmare. I had to reach out to customer service upwards of 50-80 times because they ignored requests, neglected to reply, misunderstood, used confusing English, changed customer service rep for every single email sent, misreported package weight and content, and in the end shipped the package with tons of mistakes. This company reeks of a scam. The customer service reps use polite terms, but that doesn't help when they refuse to give out information, or consistently offer misinformation and contradictory statements.
I ended up overpaying for a shipment lacking in contents and after 2 months delay. One parcel never made it. I'm probably looking at a $3000 loss.
There are so many red flags with Buyee that I don't know where to begin. I regret ever taking a chance on them.
Unbelievably expensive shipping charges
Unbelievably expensive charges and shipping. One item weighing 60 grams = 2284 yen. Ha ha.
I love Buyee for getting items from…
I love Buyee for getting items from Japan like others have mentioned the fees can add up fast. My only complaint would be the fees / unable to combine items from the same seller in auctions meaning more fees and more shipping costs.
However thy provide fantastic customer service and are great about replying in a timely manner. I have bought a few hindered items through them and the one time they had a mistake they emailed me to admit it and refunded my money. They are the best middle man service for Japan and the higher fees are almost worth it for the customer service alone. other middlemans have poor communication and if something goes wrong your stuck. I'll stick to Buyee going forward overall happy with there services

Lots of fees. The cheapest shipping and fee costs add up to be 200% more than the items themselves... I don't think I would shop here again.
Irresponsible of mismatch invoice causes import tax
This was real purchase experience from me that happened recently.
1. Buyee customer service is slow, reply once per day, at the end of working hours. Delaying complaints.
2. When informed them regarding import tax charged due to mismatch invoice, they tried to push away their fault.
3. Their system allows item category modification on final invoice, but they ignored it and shipped out with a totally different version of invoice, without informing me the mismatch. In other words, customer is not known of the shipped out invoice version. Until now, my Buyee page invoice is different from the shipped out invoice.
4. With the incorrect item category on invoice, I am being charged import tax that causes paying extra.
5. When informed them regarding incorrect item category from seller, they are reluctant to show proof of sellers' invoice, which seems to hiding truth. Totally does not makes sense on the point of argue that all sellers put the incorrect item category in their invoice. On top of that, they also refuse to inform sellers regarding incorrect item category issue.
6. They discriminate customer that is with Lite Plan that does not pay extra, and refuse to refund/ compensate the tax charged due to their fault, not even portion of tax amount.
7. Requested them to send a letter describing the mismatch of invoice issue, so that I can show it to local Customs to appeal and claim back my imposed tax, they also refuse to mention or reply any words.
In summary, from this issue, customer should learnt that:-
a. Buyee system invoice item category modification does not function as we thought. Buyee can ignore it, and their system would not send notification email to inform customer on the finalized invoice version
b. Sellers invoice info can be wrong, but we as customers are transparent to it. Even incorrect item category, Buyee will not correct it even though they can
c. Discriminization against Lite Plan customers, no refund even fault at Buyee side
Very disappointing experience, and will not continue to use their service in the future.
Buyee CS is HELL!
Recently bought an item from mercari through Buyee. The purchase process went on smoothly like it always has been but the shipping was HELL!
Item posted out on 27th May, and due to COVID19 issues, postal services were affected worldwide thus I do not mind delays. 1st time I tracked the parcel was 11th June and it shows that it has arrived in my home country. But on 24th June, the parcel has yet to reach me thus I made a 2nd tracking. I was SHOCKED to know that the item was already on its way back to the sender!!!
I immediately reached out to my local courier and was told the delivery was returned due to incomplete address. Wrote an email to Buyee for clarification and was instead told to wait for the parcel to reach them before they can reply me. FINE! But when the parcel finally arrived at Buyee warehouse, I was kicked around like a ball, transferring from one CS to another (7 CS) and none had a solution. It was like talking to rocks or AI that keep repeating the same answer format.
One said it was because of the delivery address I registered was wrong causing the return but I have been using that address for 2 years in Buyee and everything reached me except this time. Dropping hints that Buyee should at least refund me the shipping or at least give a rebate voucher, no f**** given. One CS frozed my parcel saying they need to check with Japan Post of the real reason it was returned. 2 weeks gone and no news unless initiated.
In the end, as of 7th Aug, I gave up and told them to unfreeze my parcel, I will just pay for the shipping fee for the 2nd delivery but it will be my last time using Buyee. The 7th CS again repeated that they only followed the address that I registered and the return was due to my incorrect address, so no refunds. I snapped and CAPS her (Joy R.O.), telling her to check back all the email replies before her, my past purchases and address history before replying. NO FREAKING MORE BUYEE!
Deplorable quality of Buyee's customer service
I confirm the deplorable quality of Buyee customer service. On paper, they promise you mountains and wonders: everything goes well ... until the day a problem appears, and there, do not expect the slightest refund or commercial assistance. They will certainly answer all your messages, but never offer a concrete solution or customer service. They play the watch to finish by explaining to you that it is up to you to solve the problem. An example? If a package does not arrive at your home (lost, delayed or returned), they will never reimburse you, or even charge you twice if they collect the package! (lived experience). If you have the misfortune to use the Paypal guarantee to cover your purchase, Buyee kindly writes to explain that they will no longer provide you with customer service. To avoid...
