Buying a vehicle from Cars 4 You Ltd (Bankhead Drive and all branches , Edinburgh) is an absolute nightmare that could cost you thousands of pounds of your hard-earned savings. They sell faulty, unroadworthy vehicles and then engage in highly aggressive, hostile tactics to trap your money.
The vehicles they sell can all pass MOT, however it is not roadworthy. In my case, the car broke down 30min right after I received the car from Cars4you. All can be proven and fact check.
I legally rejected that dangerous, faulty Nissan Juke (ML15SXZ) within the strict 30-day window under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Instead of returning my money, Cars4you (Murray) completely vanished. They ignored over 20 of my phone calls and deliberately held my life savings hostage to force me into submission.
When cornered, they attempted to unlawfully steal up to £900 of my refund by creating completely fraudulent, unconfirmed and unrevealed previously charges (£500 for fake "storage", £150 for drivers, and £250 for documents). When I repeatedly requested for a formal meeting to resolve this nightmare, the manager refused.
They are calculating, irresponsible, and will actively try to manipulate your emails to trap you into accepting their illegal deductions. They rely entirely on bullying and silence to break your spirit so you give up your money. DO NOT RISK YOUR LIFE OR YOUR WALLET WITH THIS COMPANY.

If you have been scammed, had your refund delayed, or faced forced deductions by this dealership, do not let them get away with it. I am working with legal counsel and compiling a massive, combined evidence file. We are looking into reporting their deceptive financial practices directly to the authorities. Contact me immediately with your evidence. Let’s sue these people who do not respect Scotland laws!! No charges required.

Sultan at the Sighthill branch was very helpful. There were a couple of issues getting the T&Cs up, but it got sorted quickly. Very excited to get my new car.

Friendly people, given lots of information about the car, test drive and documents.

We initially visited the dealership to get an idea of the current market and the types of vehicles available. We were interested in an electric car but had very little knowledge of EVs. One of the sales representatives took the time to explain how electric vehicles work, which we appreciated. We were told that the car had a range of 126 miles on a full charge and that it would come with a home charging adapter in addition to the charging cable.

A week later, we returned for a test drive. Although we had booked an appointment, nobody seemed to be aware that we were coming, so we had to wait while the vehicle was located and brought round. These things happen, so it wasn't a major issue. During the test drive, another salesperson again confirmed that the vehicle had a range of 126 miles.

My husband decided to purchase the car and paid in full that day. We were told we could collect it three days later and that it would be fully charged and cleaned before collection. The boot was particularly dirty, so we were pleased to hear this.

Unfortunately, when we returned to collect the car, yet another salesperson was dealing with us and, once again, nobody appeared to know we were coming. The car had not been cleaned, was not fully charged, and the promised home charging adapter was missing. A manager offered for us to bring the vehicle back the following week so that everything could be sorted.

On the drive home, we noticed that the driver's side wiper was leaving heavy streaks across the windscreen. A replacement wiper blade was actually in the vehicle, but it had not been fitted. Once we started using the car, we also discovered that the maximum range on a full charge was under 90 miles rather than the 126 miles we had repeatedly been told to expect. We were also informed that rapid charging would take around 15 minutes, whereas our experience has been closer to 2-3 hours.

When we returned the following week for the cleaning and charging, the member of staff we spoke to again seemed unaware of our appointment. We were then asked to return the next day, and after calling ahead, were told it still wasn't ready and would need another day. When we finally collected the vehicle, the boot was still dirty. My husband eventually had to insist quite firmly before the promised home charging adapter was provided and the cleaning completed. We are not the type of customers who enjoy complaining, but by that point we were extremely frustrated by the lack of communication and follow-through.

Overall, the car itself is pleasant to drive and we are happy with the vehicle. However, we feel we were given inaccurate information regarding the range and charging times, and several promises made during the sales process were not fulfilled without repeated follow-up from us.

The staff were friendly and helpful when speaking to us, but the communication between team members and the overall customer service experience fell well below our expectations. As a result, we have mixed feelings about recommending this dealership.

I was advised by finance company after all approvals to contact the dealership to pick a date to collect my new car this was last Wednesday

12:15 I called and the guy on the phone couldn’t care less about helping just advised me that someone would be in touch shortly

15:00 I had no heard back called again got the same guy on the phone who advised my manager is no available someone will call you in 5 minutes, I was getting annoyed at this point but said ok that’s fine

17:30 I still had not heard back and called the dealership yet again got the same guy, this time no was passed through to the manager, gave him my explanation got cut off half way through it and he could confirm my paperwork eventually he seems to have found it and explained to me that I would have to wait 7 more days for my car while it got a point check , mot and valet, I was frustrated at this as I was expecting to collect the car the manager apologised gave me a whole speel about how he only has one salesman as others are on sick and holidays which were not really my problem but advised I should wait to hear from him, but I was understanding so I said ok no problem

I didn’t hear back Thursday so followed up on Friday got a completely different guy who was quite rude in himself and basically told me the car I mentioned had been and it’s not under my name

So essentially the car confirmed mine by the manager, funds had been transferred, car was essentially mine and they proceeded to sell the vehicle to someone else

Now I have no car, this company’s holds the funds and I cannot get a new one till the funds are sent back

Would advise anyone if looking for a new car to avoid this place at all costs there are simpler and much better dealerships elsewhere
