Hamza, top salesman, things got sorted quick and efficiently

Hamza was the one that greeted us. Very fast service. Showed us around the car. Had no issues with cars4you would recommend to anyone that was looking to purchase a car

I am not one for doing post like this but this i needed too

In 2025 i bought a Ford focus 1.0T eco boost the day i got it car went into limp mechanic said its normal for that car to happen turn car off for 5-10mins and will sort it. 7 months had the car and been in tge garage more times than i drove the.

they only got the car back on the 6th of May 2026 and needed a new engine, i told there mechanic and all they did was basically nothing other then reset the error codes

Don't believe what they say 71k miles on the ford eco boost is a lie as I was the last owner and did 4.666k miles in the 7 months so the car has 76.143k miles and was in the garage more then I drove it.

Metal fragments in the oil sump the car was absolutely 100% dead. Will go into limp mode. Filter warning will show. Plus many more issues. Under the consumers right act the finance company said it is a right off so they cancelled my finance and now Durham cars 4 U are now selling the car after only having the car back 3 weeks ago. Would have taken a lot longer then 3 weeks to fix the engine as it needed a new one

7 months of the car going in and out the garage.

Jan was not friendly called me a moron said i broke the car when clearly there machine didn't do there job properly.

Avoid them and the car at all cost.

Don't make the same mistake as I did. There rating is from multiple email address and those accounts have only reviewed Durham cars 4 U,

They are also under review by the motoring ombudsman not from me but i did make a complaint to them due to the nature that they spoke to me in a ill manner way.

I purchased a car from cars4you and it totally failed immediately after I put petrol into the car. I literally owned the car for less than 30mins and I returned the car back to them. Now I' still waiting for refund. Of course they did not take my calls, did not reply my emails.

I was dealt with by mark at the Dunfermline branch and couldn’t fault him + the process would Definitly recommend buying from here!

Fantastic service we have bought three cars from the same branch. The staff have a good understanding of what we were looking for. Great knowledge of cars and in different branches too. They aren’t pushy. They give you time and space to speak with you partner or family members.

Recently purchased a new (to me) car with Cars4You and really happy with the service and professionalism, and the whole process overall. Hamza was the salesperson dealing with my purchase and they were really friendly and approachable, and took care of all my queries quickly and efficiently. Got a great wee car at a good price and all is going well so far, so absolutely no complaints from me. Thanks again!

Put a deposit on a car subject to viewing as I was going to be viewing it on the weekend. When I arrived the car would not start and had oil everywhere under the hood. I opted not to take the car and they are now refusing to refund my deposit. Horrible, rude service and the upper management is terrible. Crooks, the lot of them.

Stay well clear of this bunch of cowboys. The only basis this crew operate is on lies and excuses. Supplied with an unroadworthy car which has been clarified by two independent garages. Returned twice within the 30 day period. Was then supplied with a courtesy car that broke down 2 miles down the road. Can't put too much detail in my review at this point as I'm taking them to Court and Trading Standards.How this company is still trading beats me. As for the so called sales manager Murray he will end up with blood on his hands for what he is allowing to leave the garage forecourt.

This has genuinely been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with any business. Not just a bad car dealership — a bad business full stop.

Cars4You sold us a car with serious suspension problems. The suspension had collapsed, and within the first 30 days the car had to go back on two separate occasions because it was clearly not right.

They had two chances to repair it under warranty. Their own mechanics could not fix it. Even their so-called “specialists” could not fix it. For a company that sells cars for a living, that is embarrassing.

So we rejected the car and returned it.

Then came the real insult: they tried to charge us £500 for the courtesy car we were using while they were supposedly repairing the faulty car they had just sold us.

Read that again.

They sold us a faulty car, failed to repair it, took it back twice, could not fix it, then tried to bill us £500 for the courtesy car we only needed because of their faulty vehicle in the first place.

In our view, Cars4You breached our consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. The car was faulty within the first 30 days, had serious suspension failure, and despite multiple attempts, they failed to put it right. We rejected the car within the legal 30-day period, yet they still tried to charge us £500 during the warranty repair process.

In my opinion, this is disgraceful, unfair, and a blatant breach of consumer law.

The cars on the forecourt looked in an awful state when we were there. Based on what we saw and experienced, I have honestly seen scrapyards with better-looking stock.

The manager, Murray, was rude, arrogant, dismissive, and completely lacking in basic manners or professionalism. Instead of helping, taking responsibility, or showing even the slightest bit of decent customer service, the whole experience felt like excuses, attitude, and trying to push the problem back onto us.

This place is a complete laughing stock. A dealership that sells a car with collapsed suspension, fails to repair it, then tries to charge the customer £500 for a courtesy car should be utterly ashamed.

They may advertise plenty of cars, but the real test of a dealership is what happens when something goes wrong. Based on our experience, Cars4You failed that test in spectacular fashion.

The after-sales care was appalling. The customer service was appalling. The handling of the complaint was appalling. The whole thing has been stressful, expensive, and completely unacceptable from start to finish.

We are now taking legal action because of how badly this has been handled.

Read the bad reviews. Check Trustpilot. Check Autotrader. Then ask yourself whether you really want to risk your money, your time, and your sanity dealing with this place.

I would not trust Cars4You with a shopping trolley, never mind a car.

AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.

Do not deposit money with this people. You will not see money back if you cancel the transaction. I contact with them multiple times, also in person. It's over 3 weeks and no money back in my account. AVOID AVOID AVOID. THEY ARE DISHONEST PEOPLE DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM.

Make sure you read all the 1 star reveiws, this buisness scams people, beware. Do your homework. I lost a fortune at ghe hands of this company.

I visited a dealer as planned to buy my "new" second hand volvo. I was looking for a car for weeks then I met Hamza at cars4you. A charming man who showed me stock online, he took me for a walk around a showroom showing me all cars. I am one of the worst kind of a customer, I can be a pest if I want something. I am a petrolhead since i was a wee boy and I know quite a lot about a cars so I am not easy to deal with if we are talking about a cars. I potentially foud a car, nice blue bmw x3. I put a £200 deposit ( on Saturday) and told Hamza I want this car but I want to see it tomorrow (SUNDAY) Guess what, Hamza organised a man who brought a car from another brunch same day! I came, took the car for a spin, the car feels amazing, . I found some things i wanted him to look into like brakes tires mot. I put a 50% deposit then Hamza said that the car will be ready in 7 working days and it was. I came car had a 4 new brakes, fresh mot, new tyres ( a little bit different than the one i specifically asked for) but I wasn't a Hamzas fault, he done his part from A to Z woth 100% effort . This was a mistake made by a workshop manager who decided to put a different set ( i forgive him😂 :) Hamza offered me 2 year additional warranty on tje top of the 6 months offered for a car. Now I am one happy man. The car feels solid, look clean beautiful. I will definitely back in future. THANK YOU HAMZA👌

Unfortunately after 2 months I had to reduce 5 to 1 stars because i still didn't received a v5. I asked them to process it online then id get my v5c in 7 days but they probably ignored me. I phoned dvla and cars4you didn't notified dvla about the sale after 2 months. Now i had to fill in v62 form and apply for a v5c using a green slip. Not good

I recently bought by BMW X3 I am extremely pleased with my purchase ☺️.They offered good advice and acted professional, they were happy to guide me through the sale, very simple and straightforward, definitely recommend them!

I bought a car without viewing and got it delivered. I have never done this before and had a lot of questions. Mark answered a few of my calls and was always extremely helpful, always friendly and very patient. He explained things to me and got back to me when necessary. He is a true credit to your staff!

Bought a new car In October 2025. Minute i saw car, issues with tyres, service light .The sales guy was on several different calls whilst dealing with us, inappropriate behaviour with other members of staff also whilst there, very unprofessional experience. Constant issues with the car, after month of upset, stress and financial drain to myself I was able to reject the car. Its now mid April and Its still not resolved, car returned and I haven't received any of my money back, zero customer service. The management don't care. Horrendous experience all in all..

Wouldn’t recommend.
Bought my car a few weeks ago and had most of the warning lights come on within a few days of having the car. Main issue is the engine light came on first.
Now have it booked in to a garage for a full check and don’t want to drive my car.
Funny thing is, on the taxi across to pick up my car, the taxi driver said I shouldn’t have bought a car from them as he has had a friend that had a bad experience.
I didn’t pay attention because it was one person but I should’ve looked at these reviews first.
Now 1 month after getting my car, I’m expecting to pay a huge bill to fix the problems.

Mark at the Dunfermline branch was very welcoming and helpful, he knocked £200 off the price also.
The dealership were accommodating on getting my car ready in a timely manner, after it being slightly delayed over Easter weekend, as I had an event to go to and they got the car ready as quickly as possible so I could pick it up before event.
