This company will scam you, read all the negative reviews and take note. They have also been caught purchasing positive reviews to get there rating up. You have been warned. Don't be fooled by what you think is a good deal there cars are riddled with faults.

here do I start about this garage and car (cars4you straiton) it all started on the 16th of April 2025, I went to view a bmw 318d (BX66 VSZ), I decided I wanted to purchase the vehicle so I done all the necessary things for the finance agreement, I was told I would be able to pick it up on multiple occasions, everytime they told me I could pick the car up there was something else wrong with it, when I test drove the car on the 18th of April it was showing a fault with the battery and also the fan, which the told me they would check and fix, but as I said everytime I had phoned it hadn’t been fixed and they just kept dragging it along, they had to get a bmw specialist in to look it over as it kept overheating and the part they changed didn’t fix the problem! So I decided to terminate the finance and not take the car as it seemed as it was going to be a disaster and nothing but problems, I then asked the garage to cancel the finance and also asked for my deposit back, this was all done within the first 2 weeks, the garage was just messing me about saying they had done it over and over as I had phoned the finance and they had never heard a thing from the garage, then one of the salesmen decided to start ignoring my phone calls so I used my mums phone and they answered straight away, the man was very rude and very abrupt on the phone everytime I called, it is only today that the issue has now been resolved (29th of May 2025) after a long 6 weeks, the finance company had a massive issue with trying to receive the funds back from the garage even with them having told them they had done it multiple times but it was all just lies, the car has also changed to 2 different garages since I looked at the car and also dropped in price by £1000, I do not recommend anyone to go near or buy a car from CARS4YOU the worst and most awful experience and most distressing time I have ever had trying to buy a car

This review is from the experience my Husband had from the Straiton branch. Viewed car first time and it was great couldn’t wait to pick up. Was told then that it would take 7 days to get car ready to go. Workshop check, valet etc. Was in area a few days later and went to check out the car again. I could not believe it! Car absolutely filthy the wheels had been changed to much cheaper ones. Arches all scraped and a dent at the back. Spoke to “Manager” who basically did admit the wheels were changed and could change back to what was on the “pictures” on website. The scrapes would be the valeter! (Excuse me!) they will polish out and there is no dent! Said he would get all points fixed at his expense. Got extremely defensive and ended the call. Disgrace. Absolutely stinks wouldn’t buy a can of polish from them although clearly they don’t sell it the state of the car! RED FLAGS EVERYWHERE!!!

Where do I start, January 5th I enquired about the Audi A1 I currently have just now from the Broxburn Branch and was told everything would get fixed with the Car before pick up on 17th January. Dents in driver side/clip missing from passenger visor/ABS and TPMS fault all to be fixed with the purchase of the car. Alongside V5 to be received.

Fast forward 4/5 weeks dents and Clip not fixed/replaced and ABS and TPMS warning lights are back on and no V5. 40-50 calls later they get the car back in for it to all be sorted (they have the car for 3 weeks) sat on the Main Road of Broxburn industrial estate and received the car back with THE BACK LEFT BUMPER SCRAPED with all remaining faults still ongoing with the car.

We are now 5/6 months down the line with no repairs/replacements been done or made also still waiting to this day for a V5 when I was told at the time when handing car back to be fixed that a second V62 had been posted for me to receive my V5 (still not received the V5 to this day) and now FINALLY getting rid of A1 as it has been nothing but problems since the get go and I am now dealing with the Straiton Branch.

I have had no goodwill gestures or any compensation from this company apart from being given death trap Courtesy Cars 👍🏽

My Journey started 3 weeks ago buying a car and finance being paid out. 1 week later I picked up car. (JUST MOT'D AND 87 POINT CHECK APPARENTLY)

Drove away and ABS and TC lights flashing and car jolting to left on road randomly. Steering wheel on straight was well to right hand side.

Dangerous at best!! Took it back and was given a courtesy car which was also a death trap...

Gave it back so both cars returned within 24hrs and finance cancelled. It took 30-40 calls and a visit to garage to finally 2 weeks later have the money refunded to my finance company.

Absolute terrible service and the Director was great F2F and very friendly but didn't do what he promised.

Car was a death trap and I would question validity of MOT.

1 of delays was valet but when picked car up it was very dirty and no fuel, filled up straight away so that cost me £60 ...

Anyway some nice cars in place but in my opinion not to be trusted!!

Ironically, when I was in garage chasing refund a couple called on speaker having just driven new car away a car to say something had fallen down under car and was dragging along road!! 87 point check my arse!!

Back in November my dad bought his car from this company, everything was fine at first and we were told that the car had a new gear box, tires, and breaks changed, but the reversing sensors weren't working. After a while we had our first issue which was a bearing issue and then after a while we had an ABS Sensor issue. Around five months later we started having issues with the gear box, and they had said they would get it fixed within three weeks, and have it booked at the same garage we got it from on the 28th of April, when my dad asked for the address so he could take it to the garage they told him to have patience and they would give him the address when it's time, but yet it is already the 28th and we still haven't heard back. They are scamming people and people are not realising it, they are selling people faulty cars with bunch of promises but are selling people shite cars and don't stick to their words and promises. My dad doesn't recommend this garage to anyone when planning on buying a car.

The cars we were looking at to buy were not the best . The first one they told me after 10 days needed the engine rebuilding, the second one on the day before we were having it delivered, they had a small ding in the passenger door as Naz put it and wouldn't need much doing to it, huh actually it needed a complete new door.
I would not recommend to buy from this cowboy company , because of them I had to hire a car to go and see my mum on her 98th birthday. What a rip off.

Dunfermline branch nothing short of ridiculous. 5 weeks since i bought the car, no V5. DVLA confirmed no application or request has been received from them to register the car. When we got the car the car was in a different location after I had discussed with sales man Naz(who is useless). I waited over 3.5 weeks from deposit to actually getting a date to pick up my car. Found CDs, scratches, chips and a deodorant in my car after collecting it along with the parcel shelf being removed. AVOID this cowboy outfit

These guys need a Tesla kinda backlash lets make them famous for their bogus and disrespectful practices making a video on them will post on all social media platforms so they learn Trading standards have nothing on Boycott very legal or block entrance and disrupt business make a scene until they give in thats the only language they speak seen a video recording of this so called Murray talking to a man and two women his volume was at peak no composure no respect and he walks away playing victim just days ago shocking ,he needs to be moved to valleting duties ...despicable attitude this man has he is going to lose the company some real quid if our lawsuit goes through please do not buy from here until you have triple checked it is what they say

Could have gave zero stars if the option was there.... Avoid dealing with a guy called Murray terrible customer service from the tall arrogant chap payed cash for a vehicle that turned out to be defective and not safe went back to them on the purchase warranty within days of collecting the car and was reassured they will fix all problems ..they kept the car for a week only to hand it back with no work done to it oh by the way we was tracking the car never moved till a day before collection...which means nothing except valeting it for collection ....car still had same problems ...3 visits to the office and a threat to take things further got the ball rolling they finally agreed to take the car back to fix this time they kept my car for over 3 weeks and nearly refused to give me a curtesy vehicle until i kicked off still car came back half fixed this time made passes through the car lot and seen my vehicle gathering dust over the weeks ...finally went back to confront them about the problem again murray comes out and chases the mechanic away and produces a double sided tape and says this will fix the issue. No obd plug in not even looked at the dash nor tested anything was ready to send us packing things got heated after me witnessing his tactics and he then decide to shout and throw a tantrum at us his customers and walks away ....now they offeing the vehicle to get properly diagnosed by Audi professionals ...why couldnt this be done before ? Be vary aware before you sign nor take anything from these scumbags they will sell you a dudd and act all surprised when you confront them about it ....payed nearly 20000 cash for a audi Q7 that keeps goin into accident mode with no crashes nor other vehicles nearby and the Murray guy thinks he can sort Audi presence using gaffa tape what a joke TAKE YOUR BUSINESS AND MONEY ELSEWHERE THESETIME WASTING THIEVES WILL CAUSE NOTHING BUT HEARTACHE FOR YOU ...buy at your own risk.

We put a deposit on a car but we decided not to go ahead with the sale for various reasons . I asked for my deposit back but wasn’t expecting to get it back but refund came back to my bank today so was very happy . Thank you

They buy positive reviews. Heard this business buys positive reviews which does not surprise me. I had a terrible ordeal with this company and it lasted almost 6 months. This was last year however I thought I better try warn honest people to stay clear. Trust what you are reading in the negative reviews because I can assure you that they are the only honest ones.

Very helpful company delightful to do business with. I found the Focus on their web page. They called me back and the car was as advertised. They arranged everything from tax and finance. I was given a date to collect, after the few scratches and broken bits were rectified, and MOT and a service carried out. The car looked like new for me just to sign the paperwork and pay. I would recommend this very helpful family company. Thank you.

Got car from Edinburgh branch great service couldn't have been happier with the service and got car delivered

Sold unfit for purpose car and also told new parts would be fitted before sale. Had to go through rejectmycar in the end. Told me the car was taxed in my name at the point of sale and that I would receive log book (v5c) in the post. When it didn't arrive I had a look to see the status and it turned out that neither had been done. Unable to tax the car, it was clamped and towed by DVLA. Finance company asked them to repair the vehicle and they had to collect it. I asked for it to not be brought back to me even after repair if tax wasn't in place by then as I would be in the same position. My agreement through finance and collection of the car was at the beginning of February, the car was completely broken down by beginning of march and the complaint and part ownership ordeal went on until July. Shocking customer care and service throughout. It's no surprise they have been buying reviews, they're utter crooks. Avoid at all costs.
