I recently celebrated my son’s 7th birthday at Chuck E. Cheese (CEC) at one of their Minnesota locations, and overall, it was a good experience. Having attended many parties at CEC over the years, I have a few recommendations to help you get the most for your money.

Pricing and Party Package

Keep in mind that Minnesota sales tax is relatively high, so the prices listed here reflect what I actually paid, including applicable taxes.

The 6-kid package for $108 is an excellent deal. You can add additional kids on the day of the party for just $21.80 per child. That’s a great value compared to other venues that charge over $30 per child.

The package includes two hours of playtime, a beverage, and a seat at the birthday child’s table. Pizza must be purchased separately, but you’re welcome to bring in a cake from outside.

Best Day and Time to Book

I recommend scheduling your party for a Sunday, preferably earlier in the day. There tend to be fewer parties competing for space, making the experience less hectic. Saturday evenings, on the other hand, can be extremely busy!

Money-Saving Tip

Check Groupon for CEC food vouchers. At the time of this review, I was able to find a $30 food voucher for just $19. These vouchers are especially helpful for cutting down the cost of pizza for the party.

Overall Recommendation

CEC offers good value for a kids’ birthday party, especially if you take advantage of the package pricing and food vouchers. With a little planning around the day and time, you can have a fun party without spending more than necessary.

I received a coupon for an 8.99 pumpkin shaped pizza. When I used the coupon it only adjusted the pizza to 10.42. The employee wasn't able to fix it and the manager just shrugged. I feel so ripped off but you can leave once you promis kids you can go.

There weren’t enough games or rides available for the kids, so they got bored pretty quickly. The workers also weren’t very helpful when it came to explaining how to purchase tickets or where to get the pizza. Overall, the staff seemed very unenthusiastic and the experience at the Plano location was disappointing.

Not enough games or rides for toddlers, and play pit should be divided by age , children 8 and over should not be in play pit with children 8 and under. And the price of socks are ridiculous $15.00 dollars.And the number of tickets you have to have in order to get a Rinky dink prize is ridiculous as well . A lollipop the size of a penny is 60 tickets. This is suppose to be a place for kids to enjoy themselves and not drain the parents pockets.I am highly disappointed in this franchise.

Very poorly ran. Workers acted clueless. Food was disgusting, tea tasted like it had been sitting for a year. My 4 month old ended up with stomach bug, my nephew got hand foot mouth, my son and other nephew got a bad cough, some adults felt terrible the day after too. Place was highly disguising. This was Greenville location.

I lost my 3 month old granddaughter in the dark, add more lights i could not see. I still havent found my grand-daughter and ive been walking around hanging up missing signs and im 83 so it hurts my feet. Thank you.

Taken my grandauther to chuckecheese. for 1 hr. of joy,
took me to pay one year of a membership that now i CAN'T CANCEL.
they set this site to make it imposible to do it.
hope they will call cancel it or i iwll have to call my Credit card.

Just include the price of a card in the basic rate. How ridiculous to pay 28.00 for 45 minutes and then ask what card we want to buy.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Total rip-off!! Half of the games didn’t work and the rest only gave minimal ticket prizes. I stupidly bought the silver pass thinking it would be a great place for my great grandson to go, I now sincerely regret this decision. Worst decision I could have made and had I known what a scam this place is, I definitely would not have bought one. Also, the prizes for the amount of tickets you win is beyond cheap and absolutely ridiculous. I ended up paying cash for a small stuffed animal so my great grandson would have a decent toy for his trip there! The pizza and cheesy bread were so disgustingly greasy! Will not be going back even though I bought the pass!! It is not worth the 11.99/month for the measly 100 games you give. I will also be putting this same post on every review website I can find and will include this on Facebook and let my friends and family know not to fall for this scam of a place!! So throughly disappointed!!

This year my granddaughter was so excited to have her 7 th bday party at Chucky cheese....I would love to say after paying 250 bucks for the big bday package that we had a blast but unfortunately it was horrible....please if your wanting to have a good party do not go there...the staff was extremely rude ..we had to go in kitchen ourselves to get forks and plates...our pizza was just put on table when no one was there so we came back to cold pizza...they did the same w the dip dots...they put on table when I walked back to table they were all melted...Chucky cheese came out singing to 4 different party's .we didn't no what was going on ..our waitress stayed away from table we had to run her down about everything...they didn't go out of there way at all to make sure my granddaughter had a great day...then I was given the bill...they came up to me 4 times wanting me to stop party to go pay...they made us feel rushed...they didn't start our party on time...we stood at the front til 315 our party started at 3.... Then they helped us w nothing else ...they were watching us like we was GANNA leave w out paying when we was trying to play games and get prizes ..4 different times they approach asking when I was GANNA pay...making us feel like we were thieves....I've never had a place treat me as horrible as they did...then when I told them how I felt no one would look or talk to me....there's so much I leaving out....it was truly worse experience ever!! If your looking for a nice experience this is not the place...the staff was horrible....I've been calling trying to speak to someone and get corporate number and was hung up on....I tried to give them a chance to make it right before writting this review but after I was hung up on and treated so badly I decided to warn people so they don't spend a lot of money for a horrible experience.... Chucky cheese in Bowling green ky deserves no star....I will tell everyone and we will never be back....they will not make things right with you if your experience is bad so be prepared to spend a lot of cash and get nothing for horrible service...they do not care...

Food trash then they have the nerves to go up on price I walked in wondering why they was so empty they charge for everything now. It's so many better place to go to than chuck e cheese they won't last long $40 one hour game card clowns

I went today with my childrens to play some games and enjoy a pizza and check for a upcoming birthday for.my 5 years old. I stay in front of the cashier for 30 minutes and 5 lazy people.pass me an all they do is just staring at me like I was doing something wrong, I could tell by the way they look at me and on silence they just say ( wtf he wants) all the good reviews are from theyre workers and bots. Is the one in rt 22 union nj I will never will come here again
They got a bouncing play ground but yiu have to pay 25 dollars extra for few minutes I decide to head to kids empire in linden and I got everything I wass looking for my son birthday party and we decide to stay there for 2 hours playing thwyre games and eating good food, not like RAT AND CHEESE.

I wanted to take a moment to thank Jake Linger from CEC Entertainment aka Chuck E. Cheese for making my Autistic sons' birthday an amazing one. A special thank you to local restaurant the General Manager Tiffany from Bel Air, Md for taking the time to coordinate this special appearance by Chuck E. at his special needs school Arrow Mountain in Joppa. All of the children and staff were so happy about this, and I could not have pulled it off without the cooperation and generosity of Jake, Tiffany and most of all Chuck E.

Our home was recently involved in a fire leaving us without a place to have a party, but this is a local establishment who truly cares for the local community came through for us and the children of the school.

The food was ok not anything good like i would like a refund and btw a gold bear tickled me until i was screaming and yeah and a brown bear told me to follow me and i now have nightmares about him so i would like my money back pls ??? And ps there was rats on my pizza and the bath room was moldy and also my son called billy bob went missing in rabbit thingy and i now no longer have a son pls i would like a new son.

Saw a yellow rabbit with my dad and my dad got scared told me to leave the place i didnt listen to him and i got a rash on my butt
