We had a one-week sailing trip in July 2024 with a Bavaria C50 departing from Athens, and everything went smoothly from start to finish! The boat was in excellent condition – clean, well-equipped, and ready to go.

Seit mehr als 10 Jahren chartere ich über Cosmos. Ich habe immer sehr freundliche Ansprechpartner, die meine besonderen Wünsche in den Angeboten berücksichtigen. Super smooth experience – trustworthy and helpful team
We chartered a sailing boat from Cosmos Yachting in Zakynthos and had a great experience from start to finish. The team was super responsive and easy to deal with – always quick to reply and really clear about everything.
They managed to get us an early check-in, which was a big help, and even helped us find a marina spot on August 15th (which is almost impossible!).
Overall, just a really solid and honest company – no stress, no surprises, and very reliable. Would definitely book with them again.

Keine Abnahme der Yacht - Kaution nicht zurück
Uns ist klar, dass bei der Rückgabe der Yachten im Hafen oft Hektik entsteht. Deshalb waren wir gleich zu Beginn des vorgegebenen Zeitfensters dort, damit alle notwendigen Aktionen in Ruhe ausgeführt werden können. Abgesehen von professioneller Hilfe beim Anlegen ist jedoch nichts passiert. Es gab keine gemeinsame Abnahme - die wollte der lokale Dienstleister machen, wenn wir zum Abendessen unterwegs und nicht an Bord waren. Ob er es getan hat, wissen wir nicht. Eine Rückmeldung gab es jedenfalls nicht. Das Büro im Hafen war nicht besetzt, es gab keinen Ansprechpartner vor Ort. Am nächsten Morgen mussten wir abreisen, ohne zu wissen, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Evtl. gefundene Mängel konnten nicht gemeinsam mit dem Personal der Charterbasis bewertet werden. Die Kaution hatten wir auch nicht zurück. Es war kein schönes Urlaubsende. Und es passt überhaupt nicht zum auf der Website von Cosmos Yachting dargestellten Anspruch: „unvergesslichen Charterurlaub“, „Urlaub, der keine Wünsche offen lässt . Einen Urlaub ohne Stress und Sorgen“, „immer ein offenes Ohr“ usw. Ich finde, dass Cosmos Yachting dieses Kundenversprechen bei den lokalen Kontraktoren durchsetzen sollte.
In den grundlegenden Funktionen (Segel, Motoren, Elektrik) funktionierte der gecharterte Katamaran einwandfrei. Gleichwohl gab es einige kleine Mängel, die mindestens z.T. offensichtlich schon länger bestanden, bei aufmerksamen Inspektionen zur Bootsübergabe entdeckt und bei der Vorbereitung der Yacht für die nächste Crew beseitigt hätten werden können, z.B. Furnier an einer Seite am Salontisch auf einer Länge von fast 30 cm abgelöst, mehrere Möbeltür-Arretierungen funktionslos, mindestens eine USB-Ladesteckdose verrostet und ohne Funktion, Signallicht für Fahrt unter Motor ohne Funktion, Bootshaken in der eingeschobenen Position mit einer Schraube arretiert und somit nicht mehr ausziehbar. Solche Sachen sind vermeidbar. Daher diesmal nur zwei Sterne.

Cosmos verspricht Urlaub ohne Stress…
Cosmos verspricht Urlaub ohne Stress und Sorgen. Es fängt schon damit an, dass im September 2024 eine Yacht mit Bj 2022 angeboten wird, aber tatsächlich 2021 gefertigt wurde. Das macht denen überhaupt keinen Kopf, dass das ein Prospektbetrug ist - teilweise Rückerstattung kann ich ja gerne einklagen. Es geht noch weiter - vor dem Check-in wurde mir ein gesonderter Vertrag in türkischer Sprache vorgelegt, wo die Konditionen ganz andere waren als im Chartervertrag mit Cosmos. Die englische Übersetzung im Vertrag diene lediglich der Orientierung; falls es Stress gibt, gilt nur die türkische Fassung. Da kannst du nur unterschreiben oder an der Hafenkante versauern. Solch ein mieses Geschäftsgebaren ist mir noch nie untergekommen und das finden die bei Cosmos noch völlig normal. Die Charterbasis hat eine WhatsApp Gruppe eingerichtet, damit über diesen Kanal gleich alle Beteiligten den gleichen Sachstand haben - sehr löblich. Da haben wir gleich am 2. Tag eine lose Schelle an der Schraube gemeldet, die wir entweder selbst abbrechen sollten oder einfach so weiterfahren; einen Mechaniker wollten sie nicht beauftragen, obwohl wir in einem Hafen lagen. Eine Aufstellung der zahlreichen bereits vorhandenen Mängel habe ich an die Gruppe gesendet, damit die Nachfolger die Chance auf ein vernünftiges Boot haben - keine Reaktion. Pünktlich um 16 Uhr legten wir am letzten Tag wieder an, da Verspätungen nach dem "neuen" Vertrag mit saftigen Strafzahlungen versehen waren. Nur - es kümmerte sich keiner um uns! Das Charterbüro war nicht besetzt und ein Ansprechpartner nicht vor Ort. Es wäre ein leichtes gewesen, ein Check-out zu machen; so mussten wir das Boot verlassen, ohne Gewissheit über die hinterlegte Kaution zu haben. Auch am Samstag, wo ja die nächste Crew startet, wäre es ja ein Aftersale Service ohne Aufwand, das Ergebnis der Prüfung und den Verbleib der Kaution in der extra eingerichteten WhatsApp Gruppe zu melden. NIX!! Cosmos habe ich daraufhin angesprochen, ob es denn keine Vorgaben für solche Standards gibt - gibt es nicht. Die Kaution, immerhin 2.500 Euro, ist nach fast einer Woche immer noch nicht da. Mündlich, aber nicht schriftlich!, hat mir Cosmos mitgeteilt, alles sei in Ordnung. Service und professionelles Handeln, Kundenorientierung und Kulanz sehen anders aus. Nie wieder will ich so etwas erleben.

Cosmos Yachting ist nicht der Vercharterer oder Betreiber der Yacht, sondern vermittelt als unabhängiger Broker im Auftrag unserer Kunden Charterverträge mit den jeweiligen Basen bzw. Flottenbetreibern. Wir stellen sicher, dass unsere Kunden alle relevanten Informationen zum Boot, den Vertragsbedingungen und Ansprechpartnern vor Ort im Voraus erhalten – so auch in Ihrem Fall.
Die Behauptung, es handle sich um „Prospektbetrug“, weisen wir mit Nachdruck zurück. Die Angabe des Baujahrs stammt direkt vom Eigner bzw. der Werft, und entspricht dem Branchenstandard (teilweise Differenz zwischen Baujahr und Erstwasserung). Dasselbe gilt für etwaige Zusatzverträge vor Ort – diese obliegen ausschließlich dem lokalen Vercharterer und unterliegen gegebenenfalls nationalen gesetzlichen Vorgaben, auf die wir keinen Einfluss haben.
Darüber hinaus sind öffentliche Anschuldigungen wie „mieses Geschäftsgebaren“ oder der Vorwurf des Betrugs rechtlich grenzwertig und verzerren den tatsächlichen Sachverhalt. Solche Äußerungen schaden nicht nur unserem Ruf, sondern gefährden auch das Vertrauensverhältnis, das wir mit Sorgfalt und Transparenz zu unseren Kunden seit nunmehr 38 Jahren pflegen.
Selbstverständlich setzen wir uns bei Problemen aktiv mit der jeweiligen Charterbasis in Verbindung – auch in Ihrem Fall. Bitte haben Sie jedoch Verständnis dafür, dass technische Mängel, Check-in/Check-out-Prozesse oder Kautionsrückzahlungen ausschließlich vom Vercharterer abgewickelt werden und nicht in unserem Einflussbereich liegen.
